So for any of you wondering, the next morning there's a lot of talk about a massive Bank Heist that used the noise of an unscheduled XCrawl shoot as cover.

For next game I shall:
1 - Get together info packs for those who've been requesting info.
2 - Get a quick and dirty setup of the neighborhood, known NPCs and populace desires.

so yeah late but last week's session was a breather session!

We ran up an office building while things exploded. First a room full of exploding ghouls ghasts, then a room where we had to blow up a car while gnolls rolled exploding barrels at us, then we hangglided away from the building while it exploded. Also flying megaraptors attacked us.

2000gp and a life time supply of slim jims for everyone

So the most immediately important thing for you all is that you each receive a letter telling you that you have been selected as contestants on "Subterranean Gladiators."  Those of you with knowledge XCrawl know the following about the series.

1 - It's one of the biggest named underground show in America, but no one, not even in the criminal world, knows who runs it.
2 - Contestants frequently die in show, but appear for events and Crawls afterwards.  Rumor has it the traps are actually illusions.  Darker rumors suggest the contestants do die but are revived with illegal magics.  No one's really sure.
3 - It's a legitimate contest.  In the finale, you'll be racing each other, with the monsters and 'gladiators' being a spoiler force

This is an optional Crawl so accept or refuse as you wish.

That gong room was an excellent challenge that forced mobility, improvisation, combined arms, etc. We could probably do that multiple times with different opponents and strategies.

Feat: Signature Flourish
requirement - level 3, at least 1 point of fame
benefit - You may Grandstand as a move action instead of a standard action.

wait, I forgot my FCB
I'll just take the hit point. 49 hp
aaaand correcting for averages, that's 50 hp.

What was that thing we got, Feign Death amulet or something?

Level up: FEEL THE EDGE edition!

New sheet.

Soulknife level 6:
+6 HP, +1 BAB, +1 fort, +1 ref, +1 will, favored class bonus: +1/6 extra blade skill, 4/6 total.
Skills: +1 acrobatics, autohypnosis, climb, perception, stealth, swim, disable device
Blade Skill: Additional Configuration (lets me have a second set of mind blade enhancements, can switch between them with quick draw). By default, one blade is Vicious (+2d6 damage, 1d6 to me on hit) and one is Lucky (one attack reroll per day).
Level 7 Feat: Greater Psionic Weapon (psiweapon bonuses are doubled)

Shiny new gear:
Gauntlets of the Skilled Maneuver - +2 trip. Going to try to start pushing more topples out since I don't kill things in one hit anymore.
Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess - +8 Str for two rounds!! I'll deduct charges from my restoration wand to fuel it between each session. So I don't have to type out the full name of it when I want to use it, I will call it the BLOODROCK.
Quick Runner's Shirt - swift extra move action 1/day. As shorthand I will call it the QUICKSHIRT.

Since even I am getting confused at this point, I decided to make a complete list of what all my attack options do and how they interact.
- Toppling Strike: This is a specific standard action. If it hits I get to make a free trip attempt. I will call this TOPPLE for shorthand from now on.
- Cleave: This is a specific standard action. If it hits I get to make a second attack at an adjacent enemy. I get -2 AC til end of turn when I use it.
- Greater Psionic Weapon: As long as I have focus, this passively adds 2 damage to each attack. I can expend my focus on any attack to add 4d6 damage on hit. It's wasted if it misses. Regaining focus is a move action. Shorthand: PW.
- Psychic Strike: I can choose to expend this whenever I hit, adding 2d8 damage. Thus, it can't be wasted. It doesn't work on mindless enemies, though. Recharging it is a move action, or a swift action if I expend my focus. Shorthand: PS.
- Power Attack: -2 to hit, +6 damage. I choose whether I want to use this at the start of my turn, and it applies on all attacks until next turn. Shorthand: PA.

So for the sake of not typing a ton of shit from now on, I will specify my attacks as something like CLEAVE/PW/PA. I won't call out PS anymore, I'll just apply it to damage if I want to use it.

So after deep consideration, I've got two announcements:

1 - Game will not be held on the first or the 29th of November.  This is for a combination of reasons but mainly correspond to, "it's NaNo, Thanksgiving and major software releases all at once."  I'm decent at half assing games, but I prefer to avoid it.

2 - The organized Crime groups have become interested in you as a possible official representative.  Signing up with them would give you greater fame and fortune, but also place you in debt to them.  The groups that have shown interests and possible benifits/costs

The Yakuza - With a weak local presence, they'd mostly be asking you to push products for them and (legally) defeat rival mafioso groups in the Crawl circuit.  The main downside is they have little to offer if you annoy someone.

The Underground - Interested in surface underground trade, they'll be able to give you strong support and generally don't hate you.  However they may ask to let certain opponents live, or request sabotage.

Cosa Nostra - The traditional group.  Lots of opened doors and illegal support, but they're sure to ask you for criminal acts in addition to your normal Crawls.

and of course you can always remain freelance and stick to unofficial crawls.

Votin' Cosa Nostra. If we're going to sign off our souls, we should get paid for it.

Also, probably not gonna be able to make it this weekend, either. Trying to maintain sleep homeostasis for next week's election. OTherwise I'd push it like I usually do.

Let me see: Dot votes Yakuza, Maya votes Underground, Annie votes Mafia. Not sure which way Turret leans.

Brock would prefer something that would help him more than hurt him politically. With that in mind ... none of the factions look good, but not signing up with them would probably be worse.
I guess the Underground would be the least bad choice.

None of the factions intersect with our Fey friends, do they?

Couple of world questions Ice:
how rare are PC classes? Do they congregate or spread out? What's more common, a standard education (bard college, wizard school) or individual apprenticeships?

Are the kobolds scaly or furry? Do they have big round snouts?

How exactly would Brock get into political office? Are there elections?
