Stage 3 UFO, I got clipped death by first brofist.  what the fuck.  Then it proceeds to fuck me over every single time.  Rage fucking quit.

I'm pretty sure the entire thing is hitbox for the most part. The only exception I know of is her final, where you still don't have an absolute ton of extra room.

Any point in trying to beat Koishi with less than 2 deaths?

It's always either a random stupid clipdeath(mostly her noncards), then later on a Genetics clip and a death on Philosophy.....

2 deaths on Youkai Polygraph. In 2 runs in a row.

Figured out Philosophy second phase, and messed up the third.

Butterfly in the Buddhist Temple. I had one life left. It's my first time getting to the card. I'm waiting for the second red cycle to start, then -pew- I'm dead.

One of the butterflies moved backwards, and I was at the bottom of the screen.  :'(

Yukari is definitely one of the more fun bosses though.

The UFO Normal -> Hard difficulty leap is retarded. It's almost four times as hard, since you have more bullets to dodge, plus more bullets to dodge WHILST GETTING UFOs.

Two runs of MS Extra.  Died twice to Alice's first phase both times.

First time: 4 deaths, 4 bombs.
Second: 4 deaths, 3 bombs.

Pretty much. Every difficulty jump in UFO generally means less lives/bombs for harder danmaku. =V

UFO Ex Stage Portion.
let me describe it to you
First part is okay
Kogasa's first spellcard is LOL HITBOXES.. *bomb*
Kogasa's second spellcard is Augh these are going too fast *bomb/death*
Kogasa's third spellcard is WTF is this *stay alive briefly, but then deathbomb/death*
Second part is Wall Central~
and then Nue is great. (At least, what I can do without dying)

So.. Anyone have any advice? also if Ichirin and Unzan were the Ex Boss that would make the stage much more interesting

So.. Anyone have any advice?
Shot type?

And as a general rule of thumb, if you can't deal with Kogasa you can always grab a green UFO first and bomb each attack.

FFFFFFFFFFF

MS Hard, Yuka.

Stupid deaths on stage 2, Alice, and stage 4.  Normally I'd have quitted on the stage 2 one, but I was in a "what the hell" mood.

Perfect Mai battle.  FFFFFFFFFFFFF--

Game overed at Yumeko.  8 deaths...6 bombs.  My first bomb was on the Stage 5 midboss.

Decided to continuespam my way through SA Easy Stage 5 since I kept feeling like I was getting better.

Game overed one run when Orin's final card had the tiniest sliver of health left.

I got Dipper Creeping Close to three seconds. D= Also I really need to learn how to handle Murasa's second and third non-spells. I know they're static, but that doesn't change their difficulty if you don't know a good path.

EDIT: Grr...Dipper Creeping Close seems so graspable...but I'm still missing something. TASUKETE BAITY!!!! >o<

Tell me, without using the words "Phar" or "perfect run" or a Youtube link, describe to me thine method of capture. What I'm trying is to constantly be moving to the four corners as quickly as possible and move through the rings of bullets. However, at one point or another I'm always trapped up against a wall and cause a bunch of waves to be spawned near me. Those two instances of reaching 3 and 6 seconds had me miraculously escape from these situations, but I am baffled as to how to do this without resorting to hitbox prayer. Show me the spell card theory you spent five years studying, why don't you?

It's either the 4 corners method, or the move around at a constant rate method. Your choice. The constant rate method uses "wall jumping" (i.e. you move through the "walls" at certain intervals).

EDIT: Alternatively, you do the 4 corners method for the majority of the time, until ~10 seconds left, where you switch to the constant rate.

Fine, I'll make a sample replay.

What was originally going to be a 1 death no bomb UFO S5 turned to a 3 death no bomb run due to stupidity (or rather, "dumb luck") during the last SC.

Make that three PoFV lunatic 1cc's in a row which failed to save in last three days. Cirno was the latest.

This one in particular would have featured the most fantastic AI meltdown this side of using Aya and Medicine - stage 8, Yuka, first try, I ram two bullets within the first ten seconds and by the thirty-five seconds mark I'm already somewhat resigned, down to the last bleep due to another unbelievable ⑨ moment, while Yuka is at full health. Suddenly, SPAM2CHAIN, ACTIVATE and Yuka falls before the one minute mark.  :V

The strategy in that video is actually pretty terrible. I currently find that the easiest way is to constantly position yourself in a way that you don't have move diagonally through any waves, so that you can easily slip through unfocused and get to the next corner before the bullets of a previous wave can block your path. The first few seconds of the card are the hardest really, as she positions herself randomly the first time. Once you get into the right pattern, it's really trivial to finish it up.

Actually, you had it going pretty nicely at the start. The most efficient method (which I didn't use; and ended up lucky) of initiating the "Four Corners Method" is to start somewhere in the center, wait for the first teleportation, and then quickly move to the corner furthest from Murasa before she teleports again.

The start was fine, but afterward was where the strategy failed. Anyway, here's a demo of how to make the survival card pretty much trivial (IMO, at least):
