[Alice Fact]

This is the new thread for Shoot the Bullet.

Slowdown rate must not be more than 5% for any scene clear. A replay bundle is recommended for new first place scores.

Version 1.02a is recommended, and can be gotten here. You may also install the English translation patch, of which the latest version will work for StB 1.02a.

Notes:
- The total score and missions cleared numbers are in the upper right corner of the Mission select screen; post this screen when submitting a screenshot. You may link to a single file archive of all your replays, if you wish; please try to use .zip, .rar, or .7z formats when doing so. Try not to use "temporary" uploaders for either images or replay archives.
- If you have uploaded your replays on gensokyo.org, link to the replay description page, and not the actual file. You'll know it's the description page if the URL has the word "download" and a number contained in it. You'll know if it's the replay file if the URL has the replay's filename contained in it.
- User "lite" in the score boards is myself; this is the name I use in the game's internal score boards. Honestly, I use that name because I feel like it, but "lite" and "lgb" relate to the same thing. If you would like to use the name you use in the internal score board here, feel free to do so.
- Due to the small size of this scoreboard, it has not been truncated at 30 entries like the standard games.

Somebody mentioning 2-5 is hard (hehe) made me go back and play some more StB, up 3.5 million from last score woo!, mainly just comparing my scores to the english high scores for each scene, and if I'm way below try to raise it to near high score.

Edit: I think I can raise that score up to 40 million if I put about a week in it, since I know a large chunk of my scenes have really low scores I could easily gain another 4 or 5 million.

Ok, that's enough for now. I reckon I can break 30mil with my current 65 Scenes. Though, I probably won't try that because it's far too time consuming.

Emulating scorerunners is much more difficult than I initially thought, even at my level I appear to be struggling just to clear Scenes with a nice-looking score. And my knowledge is fourth-rate or something horrendous like that; most of the Scenes and their given scoring routes are really complex to boot.

One of these days, I'll be able to pull a Slime and break 50mil total. One of these days...
Oh, and obviously more people need to contribute; I'm certain that there are quite a number of you who dwell around here and have "85 Scene Success".

Oh, I am starting to get addicted to this masterwork again. It's probably the best timesink I have at hand...

Pic of the overall score and my proudest individual score, although it only gets 9th place on the Japanese boards...

The overall score could be improved considerably because I have just about ignored the strategies for most high scoring scenes. I want a decent-ish run for every scene eventually, but these things take time, so I just grind whichever scene I enjoy.

I think that around 70 million is possible for an overall score... something like that. However, 50 million would be a nice accomplishment for me.

I think that this incredibly innovative and addictive game deserves much more recognition.

So when I fired up Shoot the Bullet today, that one extra placeholder scene that you can't play has been replaced with 12-1 through 12-8. They are just duplicates of the EX scenes, but clearing them does increase the overall score. What I'm asking is first and foremost, does anyone know about this? Has anyone seen this before? Anyone have any idea why this happened?

I would also ask if it would be allowed to clear these to get a higher overall score, but that seems pointless so obviously I won't be doing that (I backed up my score file before clearing 12-6 so I still have my "legit" score)

It's also interesting because Aya has no remarks about 12-6, but she's saying the usual stuff about the uncleared scenes.

I'm guessing this is some sort of glitch, but it could be possible that it's an easter egg?

Ah, my pride and joy. Just having a collection of all these runs like this is really satisfying. Total shot count is now over 80000, so I'd wager I have 600-700 hours on the game... at least. Wouldn't be surprised if it was more. Some scenes you just don't get many shots in after all. I don't even mind much that the game is so inactive right now, because the old records on royalflare are still insanely good, and I like trying to beat records no matter if they're old or new. Words can't describe how much I look up to the players Ia, K.K, and Alefrain. What they've done is completely absurd. It is far beyond ordinary.
