We already asked Yuyuko. Purvis is talking about celestials, although the ones we can reach are not the most knowledgeable.

I think you folks should make a checklist of everything you're currently seeking answers for and make sure you go through the whole list each time you meet someone. There have been a lot of "hey why didn't we ask X about Y" posts lately.

Quite honestly finding out information on the soul thing is looking less and less likely to pan out at all, or if it will then it won't be because we're asking everyone we come across about it. Asking a celestial likely won't help, especially when we're waking them up at odd hours of the night. Quite honestly I doubt Akyuu has useful information on it or Kikuri, given her track record on accuracy, but it's something to do while we wait to try to summon Ran with fried tofu.

And speaking of which, I have no idea why it never occurred to me to do that, considering that
