New Adventure mode announced!

Wonder if I have a spot for Nerubian Eggs in my Shaman deck. It's just like a totem, but stronger in the whole, after trading up with Rockbiter/Flametongue due to that deathrattle. Still works against me against damn Hunters so maybe not.

I always had a soft spot for Mass Dispel. Now it's going to be more relevant. And who knows what the other cards are going to be like, but probably not too many more vanilla creatures.

Oh, I can buy packs for 100g. Why do I even do arena?

Because Arena is fun and you can get much more value in terms of gold:cards from it.

I am sad you can not fit nearly enough dancing swords along with rivendale to make your opponent deck themselves.

Come on, Blizzard.

As each wing is released, the cards available in each wing will also show up in your Arena picks, even if you have not earned them for your personal collection yet.

I really do not like how you have to 'unlock' these cards in arena by beating each wing. The entire point of Arena is that ALL cards can show up.

Arena players who ignore these new cards effectivly can game the Arena system, especially if these new cards are bad/situational in general [Or there is something like 4 and 5 contain situational cards which would be bad Arena picks], and have a higher chance of getting better cards that already exist.

I mean, with all the deathrattle stuff on the revealed cards that is clearly pretty situational, you can wager that at least some of these cards are going to be too situational to be good arena picks. And having 6 less cards in the pool per wing you ignore is still better odds...

And if the cards at the later wings ARE good? Then that's buying power in Arena and a disadvantage to those who want to spend on packs and such.

I don't even remember who put the above in my sig. [Wasn't me] Nor do I understand why I keep it here anymore.
Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

Uh, I think your reading comprehension needs work.
Because, unless Blizzard news posts are written by people with no knowledge of how english works, that statement reads that you do not have to beat each wing in order for the cards to show up in Arena drafts.

Actually I interpreted it as meaning you had to unlock the cards, but not actually own them. Especially as that line comes right after:

If you wish to venture further into Naxxramas to collect all of the new cards for your collection, each wing besides the Arachnid Quarter can be purchased with in-game gold or real money, whichever you prefer.

I guess I just misinterpreted how the whole thing works.

Put the two sentences together.
1. Even if you don't have the cards in your personal collection, the cards bound to each wing will be added to your Arena draft when they are released.
2. If you want the cards for your personal collection, clear the associated wing.
Personally, I don't really see all that much room for misinterpretation but there it is.

Because Arena is fun and you can get much more value in terms of gold:cards from it.

I never get enough wins to even get a second pack or enough gold to cover to 60 extra from paying the arena fee.
The highest Ive ever gotten was silver.

Arena is 50 gold more than a pack, not 60.

And generally it's worth it at 3+ wins, and you get another go at 7+.

arena is funner than vanilla hearthstone; that's why i play it. where else can you combo 5 ice lances in a row or justify putting DEATHWING into your deck? sure i can buy a pack but it might have like one useful card...and i only play casual anyway so it hardly even matters.

Mind Visions played: around 40 probably
Mind Controls played: around 10
Guardian of Kings played: around 10
Lightwells played: 6
Mind Control Techs played: around 6

11-3 the dream

also, my opponents got easier as I went up for some reason.

edit 2: like i think my 11th match was against a druid who turn 1 naturalized my mana wyrm, and then played arcane golem to naked board turn 3.

edit: counterspell is the real hero of this deck. single handedly responsible for several wins, including at least 2 canceled pyroblasts, one starfall, and a bunch of other stuff. skillstrike + blizzard combo was pretty nice too if it ever came up.
