> You will probably need a haraigushi, and ofuda.  Salt might help.  Possibly bells, too, and some light so you can see what you're doing.  You're going to have to stay calm for this.

> The SALT is the most important ingredient of them all.
> You immediately start scouring the shrine.  You look in every room and check everywhere for any hidden shelves or doorways.  You find a bag of salt in the kitchen and a lantern in the cellar.  The haraigushi, bells, and ofuda take a little longer to find.  You eventually come across them in one of the empty rooms you assume to be a bedroom.
> By the time you've gotten everything together, it has gotten darker out: the sun has almost completely set.  You hear chattering outside, and the front door slide open.

I'm sure someone's going to want to kick me in the cajones for wasting time with exorcisms.

> Excellent, the search party has returned.
> You call out, and in less than ten seconds Konngara comes running into the room.  She stops a few feet away, and looks up at you expectantly.  Kasen shows up shortly after, peeking around the door to see what's going on before continuing on and walking into the kitchen.

> "We're out of bre--"  She is interrupted as Konngara pushes the bag of salt into her arms.
> You know you have to spread salt on the floor first, but it's been so long since you've done this you might have to wing it.

> "You shouldn't call dead people 'schmucks'," Kasen says.  "They'll get angry."
> Konngara frowns, but it's more worried-looking than angry.
> The two follow you to the entrance of the room.  You're pretty sure the salt would have to go into the room.
> At the entrance, neither of them seem to notice anything.

> You steel yourself, and open the door.  At once, the choking atmosphere returns.  The room is dark as ever, and if you hadn't flipped the table over yourself you would've thought some vengeful demon did it.
> Konngara has a completely neutral expression, but side-steps closer to you.  Kasen, still holding the salt, wanders through the doorway without any hesitation.
> "What's this room?"
> "...The dining room?"

> Kasen's not affected? Hm... Well, maybe the evil room likes kids or something. Might make it easier to exorcise, then.

> "Okaaay.  I'll try finding a light switch," Kasen says, and starts feeling around the walls.
> You're not really sure why Kasen isn't bothered by the room, but you're not complaining.
> Meanwhile, Konngara is following Kasen into the room at a much slower pace.  At the threshold, she keeps stepping forward, then hesitating and stepping back.  After a few rounds of this, she finally enters the room.

> "Okay, Kasen, pay attention. You're gonna have to follow my instructions and lay the salt down like I tell you to. Konngara, give her a hand if you feel like you can, otherwise you can help me get this stuff ready."

> You call Kasen over, and start to give directions.  She hefts the bag of salt in her arms.
> "I didn't find the light switch yet, but okay," she says.
> "...Can I help with the other stuff?" Konngara asks.

> "Sure, gimme a hand. And, uh, can you tell Kasen where the light switch is? Wait."

> You interrupt everyone before they can do anything, and light the lantern.  Kasen and Konngara look at it, mesmerized.

> Let's get these kids to work. Direct Kasen on how to lay the salt, and assign Konngara to some kind of task. Have her make sure the bells are good or something. She can be our assistant during the actual exorcising.

> So weird!  At least they were only spellbound for a few moments.
> You first instruct Kasen to spread the salt around the room.  She walks backwards, showing surprisingly good balance as she tosses handfuls of salt in a path along the floor.  Although she hasn't made any mistakes, she's working kind of slowly.  You suspect this is out of concentration. 
> Meanwhile, you and Konngara check the other materials and make sure they're in proper condition.  Konngara rings each of the bells, and they all seem to work.  Although she seems capable, you'd rather do the main part of the exorcism yourself.  However, you notice that she seems to be giving you nervous looks.

> You give most of your attention to Kasen, who is about halfway done with the salt circle.  She doesn't seem to be making any mistakes.
> "The...the bells are working," Konngara says to you.
