Raikaria, what's your dueler/obnoxious fighter Maokai build? I remember you basically built two core items and was pretty much set from there, but I can't remember WHAT items. I'm about to buy Maokai once I get enough IP.
Huh? Depends what type of obnoxious you are aiming for. Tank obnxious or damage obnoxious? I have like 5 different Maokai builds I've spoken about.
If it's a jungle tank it's Ancient Golem -> Spirit Visage If it's a toplane tank the priority changes based on the foe; but Spirit Visage and Gauntlet are both strong.
If it's AP then it's Chalice -> Lichbane with Lucidity boots. You basically blow up anyone with that since your total AP burst to a single target is significantly over
3.0Then there's the 'utility Maokai'/'Seek and Destroy'; which goes Golem -> Twin Shadows/Shurelia's. Sadly; since you will be limited to one gold item in S4; and Twin Shadows/Shurelias are both passive gold items; R.I.P this build.
Maokai is pretty obnoxious mid/lategame in general as long as you build some CDR because he just spams out his Q's and AoE damage.
It's worth mentioning Lane Maokai is very weak early; but ganking a Maokai lane is virtually a guaranteed flash burn/kill. Because; you know... it's Maokai. Once you get to 6 you start going really annoying; and so many people under-estimate Maokai's Lv 6 burst.
