Everything worked fine I'm just always so damn tired lately :V

We'll probably run something sometime I guess.

Turn up the rye because bad harvest omen...

... and go look elsewhere to become properly lousy with cows. (Engarna also still wants us to find more carls.)

I'm still more concerned with our weaponthane count though.

Dude that's like no cows. Though it sounds like we got them for basically free? I'm not sure.

Ducks come to the clan hall and urge you to support them in their bid to gain membership in your tribe. "We Thunder Ducks know all sorts of things about Dragon Pass; we've been here while you were gone. We are brave fighters of the undead, and know correct versions of the myths which you people seem to have all wrong. In short, your tribe is incomplete until it includes our clan.

1. Decline their request.
2. Decline their request; tell this funny story at the moot.
3. Offer to speak for them at the moot.
4. "It is traditional to offer a treasure to a possible sponsor."
5. "It is traditional to offer gifts to a possible sponsor."

A tribe with ducks in it is unheard-of. It will be extremely difficult to convince the other clans to accept them. (2)
The ducks can be quite effective fighters.
If their first gift isn't good enough, ask them for another. (4, 5)
They should give us gifts, or even a treasure. (4, 5)
What use could these scrawny creatures be to us? (2)
Oh, the moot will roar with laughter to hear the story of this cockeyed proposal! (2)

We are duckbros, but it could be expensive persuading our tribemates to allow this.

Remember, the Greenwings have the beastmen as their ancestral enemy. This probably isn't going to work.

I had absolutely no idea what was reasonable so I just went straight up the middle. Oh well. :V

Maybe that clan that splintered off of us can sell us back some of our cows.

And fine, Engarna, you can have some more carls.

Cowsssssssssssssssss

One of your carls, Enderos, appears at the boundary of your clan lands, tied to the back of his horse. He's been tarred and feathered, and a leather "bill" has been attached to his face.  When you get him cleaned up, he explains that he was assaulted while visiting kin among the Taralings clan. "Orngerin, a thane of that clan, said that we are too friendly to the ducks," Enderos explains. "She said that the ducks are secretly servants of Delecti, the undead wizard who lives at the heart of the great swamp called the Upland Marsh. It is her mission to punish those foolish enough to fall in league with the ducks."

1. Convince Orngerin that ducks are foes to the undead.
2. Do nothing.
3. Encourage Enderos to pursue private vengeance against Orngerin.
4. Launch a legal claim against Orngerin.
5. Raid the Taralings in retaliation for this insult.
6. Raid the Marsh Ducks, to prove you are no duck-friends.

Orngerin is crazy! If it weren't for the valiant ducks, we'd be hip-deep in undead foes! (1)
The ducks are less of a threat than the Taralings. (6)
I have dealt with the ducks, and they are no friends of the undead. (1)
We have a good case for slander against Orngerin's clan. (4)
I know Enderos well, and he hasn't the stomach for revenge. (2)
If we were the royal clan, we would not be humiliated like this.
The ducks talk funny, but at leastwe can usually trust them. I'm not so sure about the Taralings.

Sending the Renowned bargainer to try to persuade her. (idk if persuasion in this way is more that or Custom but hey)

*eyeroll* You can't trust everything you read on the internet some random scroll, Orngerin.

Some really arbitrary exploration...

(also more dudes)

... and eh screw it let's buy even more cows.

Ah well.

Orlgard, a carl of your clan, urges you to seek a bride for him. "I know people say they find me hard to look at, but I have a good heart, I am kind, and I uphold all the Orlanthi virtues. Surely I deserve a good wife."

1. Refuse him.
2. Seek a bride for him.
3. Seek a bride, offering her clan a gift in addition to the bride price.
4. Tell him to ask later, when you are not so busy.
5. Use trickster magic to make him seem handsome.
6. "You must accept that your lot in life is to be unmarried."

It is unusual to offer gifts separate from the bride price, but it might be our only hope in this instance. (3)
We have more important things to worry about. (1)
It will be very hard to convince another clan to give us a bride for him (3, 5)
No natural means can make him desirable. (5)
We mustn't offend other clans, because we want to be able to trade for any treasures they might have. (4)
The people are sad that he cannot find a bride. (2)
Eurmal can help him. (5)

Why? Nowhere it's stated that making him handsome will make him marry someone from another clan. In fact it doesn't say anything about us arranging a marriage for him at all.

This has all the makings of a movie that winds up with a 24% on the tomatometer. I think if we go with 5, it'll wind up being 12%.

3 if we've got something rattling around the closet, 2 if not.

I dunno about you, but I have this feeling that the greatest trick trickster magic can play is on the person attempting to wield it. Not to mention deception is something Orlanthi really get pissy about.

Well that didn't help. Maybe you've got worse problems than being butt-ugly, dude.

Also our crops sucked (as expected) and we bought some cows (and Engarna is still crying about our carl count but that doesn't need a screenshot).

Anyway Dark season seems like a good time to max out our temple to Elmal into a Great Temple...

... and then I realized we don't know Sun and I'd rather run that than Horsefriend. More crop blessings never hurt.

Blah blah cashing in a favor do you know shit about a dude? (it's some of our tribemates asking about the horsebro clan)

1. Hell yeah we know shit!
2. Can we bribe you instead?
3. lol ~*~knowing things~*~ who does that
4. Maybe we know? Not sure.
5. SNITCHES GET STITCHES.

We know dude's persuasive as all hell and super stingy but that's it.
