A dispute has arisen among the weaponthanes after the raid on the Zethnorings. The disputing factions are roughly divided between the older, veteran warriors and the daring young bravos. The bravos accuse the veterans of taking more than their fair share after past raids, and demand three out of four pieces of loot from this raid, to make things square.

1. Give the bravos three quarters of the loot.
2. Let them work it out themselves.
3. Order that the loot be shared equally.
4. Punish both sides; confiscate all of the loot.
5. Punish the complainers by giving the veterans three quarters of the loot.

Back in the Storm Age, King Vingkot places a shattered clan under our protection. That clan was called the Nalda Bin.

This is a trifling matter. If we involve ourselves, we will probably make it worse. (2)

This dispute has little to do with young and old; it is more about petty personality conflicts. (3, 4)

The brave young warriors are always subtly abused by the more cautious, older fighters. (1)

If we gain the help of others and beat back the undead army, we will gain influence. (1)

We'll humiliate ourselves in front of everyone if we lose against the undead.

Humakt is foe of the undead; perhaps a sacrifice to him will ward off the walking corpses. (2)

The walking dead act with mindless determination. We must take active steps against them, or they will return. (1, 3)

We might lose a lot of our own weaponthanes and footmen if we simply go it alone which might expose our soft, nougaty center. Besides, the duckbros would SO want in on this and some of the others think we can benefit from the victory as well. 1 with a side of Orlgard knows what he's talking about.

And this is the real reason why you build a watch tower. Not because it helps your patrols, we're not even sure if it does or not. But because it's super-cheap and it's always what gets smashed first if one of your fortifications gets smashed.

And now that we've got Elmal's shrine expanded to a temple, we can expand others safely. Like Chalana Arroy so we can have Curing and Healing up at the same time.

Hofstaring, a thane of the Undaroli clan, comes to complain that he was insulted by a member of your clan ring. "Mosdorl dined at our clan hall, and spent the entire night insulting me! He waved his bare buttocks in my face, touched my wife in an inappropriate manner, and spit chewed food in my face! Because he is a member of your ring, my clan considers him to be an insult made by your entire clan. Unless you punish him, there shall be war between our clans."

1. Convince Hofstaring not to take Mosdorl's insults so seriously.
2. Outlaw Mosdorl.
3. Remove Mosdorl from the ring.
4. Suggest that Hofstaring duel Mosdorl.
5. "Mosdorl was right to ridicule you."

A trickster's insults bring dishonor only to those foolish enough to take them seriously. (1)

A duel will make things worse. (not 4)

Hofstaring is very bullheaded. He will be hard to convince of anything. (3)

We are close to a feud with the Undaroli already. (2)

Of course I was right to ridicule him. (5)

Eurmal's japes often made fights worse. Once, for example, he helped the dwarfs kill many elves with the thing called Death, and he did it for a laugh. (3)

If they start a feud with us, we shall be the ones to finish it. (5)

So, apparently the Undaroli have had cameos in all of two events, one of which they were not even directly involved in. We have had no relations with their clan as a whole. I'm ok with angering them.

Whatever, these assholes live all the way across the damn pass anyway. Spoiler: you can only form a tribe with clans who are contiguous with whoever else you have in it, starting with your own neighbors. We'd have a hell of a job ahead of us to have to care about these losers' opinion of us (at least any time before we've got a whole tribe at our backs).
