There's something up with this (read: the external one that is currently hosting mafia) website that makes it so I can't highlight anything properly or scroll using the mouse. And the pointer doesn't change to indicate when I'm mousing over a link. Was it always like this?

ITT we discuss how certain sciences help you play Mafia. Purvis, how well does economics do?
For me ... I don't have a degree, but I study Wikipedia lots. This helps with knowing jargon, common roles, common arguments, etc.

I don't know about ~*science*~ helping with the game of mafia, but high school English class was all about putting together a coherent and convincing argument in 30 minutes flat. Or outputting a garbled mess that made minimal sense, but hey, as long as the grader thinks you know what you're talking about.

I find that experience weeding out and dealing with dirty rotten liars is helpful in mafia though.

you have to take the designing principles you learn from engineering and apply them to fabricating cases as scum!

I feel that it's safe to say that a mastery of the culinary arts has few common skills shared with playing Mafia.

most of my skill comes with a general interest in philosophy and how the human mind works, as well as my natural ability to disconnect myself from the situation and empathize with other people.
