I'm not sure, but does it say in MS that Alice actually was created by Shinki? (I should probably read the translated dialogue/story somewhere.)

No, it does not. Shinki says that everything in Makai is created by her, but this does not mean Alice herself is among the things she created. There is absolutely no mention of her being a native of Makai, and if she ever were, it's clearly been retconned by now since PMiSS says she was a normal human who became a youkai through her magical studies.

Momiji is one thing, but it's important to remember that ZUN never even gave Koakuma and Daiyousei names, nor has he written a profile for them, or mentioned them in any official works. As far he's concerned they're a generic fairy and a generic demon who are no more important than the slightly bigger fairies that shoot bigger patterns, or the giant divine spirit in TD stage 1. They are non-characters, canonically speaking. I think it's very unlikely for ZUN to ever acknowledge them.

ZUN did plan rough sketches for them and spellcards, but just never came to be.

Both of their "names" are just descriptions turned into nicknames by the fans. Daiyousei mean "Big Fairy" and Koakuma means "Little Devil". SO that's probably what ZUN meant: big fairies are everywhere after all.

I'm hoping that ZUN can actually make another danmaku game like IN with the Last Words section in spell practice.

When explaining Daiyousei and Koakuma, ZUN only said Koakuma usually lives in SDM. Koakuma being Pache's assistant is fanon.

In the recent "Reader Engineering" talk, the hosts asked him: which characters' popularity surprised him. He answered: characters from Stage 1 and 2 being popular would surprise him. Then he added: "Isn't that Daiyousei? However you look at it, the character only had a bit role. Yet she is treated as a proper character, even gaining some popularity. I recall being surprised when I knew it."

Judging from this reply, I think there's a real chance that Daiyousei's popularity has affected him a little, enough for him to understand that people will perceive those appearances to be the same character.

By the way, recently Daiyousei has shown up again in WaHH 18, together with Cirno. Azuma clearly intended to draw her using the fanon design - with gold gilded wings, but she ended up drawing the wings' design upside down.

I think that TH15 is going to be a PoFV/PoDD game. I didn't like TH14 that much - but I'm not so good at these games, so maybe the experienced players found it fun?

Stage 6: Byakuren, AND you'll need full power at the end or Yukari will send you back to Stage 5.
Stage 7: Yukari... Then she vanishes, revealing it was an illusion and you'll have to fight your way through another 6 stages.

TH15 is about Youkai musician wars.

To be honest I saw this more to be a 14.x game... We could see the Prismriver Sisters fighting the new musical tsukumogamis from DDC in a spin-off just like GFW.

Phantasmagoria with everybody as playable character. Even Rinnosuke. Especially Rinnosuke. Oh, but Miko is even more important.

I second that! Just, Kasen as well, especially if she truly had to be an EX boss.

Now, thinking about what TH15 might be about (or more likely, what I'd like it to be about), I don't think it would be about tsukumogamis, but maybe about all Youkais, as something is happening (for reasons we still don't know) and is driving the Youkais to rebel and attack the humans much more than the usual, as if they wanted to destroy the natural order of Gensokyo. With this said, Reimu and co. (Marisa, Sanae, Sakuya and Youmo (after all it has already happened that ZUN has been giving us more than just 2/3 playable characters)) must make their way through the Youkai army, fighting old and new "enemies" (and considering the fact that each stage has a mid-boss and a final boss, the cameos might be many, featuring many of the famous Youkais we've already defeated) to find out what is truly happening.
Wether the reason is found out at the end of TH15 or not is irrelevant, as this could create a "Youkai war" arc of some sort, which wouldn't be bad. I mean, after all Youkais are meant to make big fusses all the time, but up to now just very few of them have truly had bad intentions or created real incidents (probably the worst one was the red mist that Remilia created), so we need to see them truly being an issue. Also, a Youkai's war could bring to a Miko's come-back to help the heroines in their duty of protecting Gensokyo.
Even if I myself know it's very unlikely to see Miko return. I honestly think that if Miko would ever return, the game would undergo a very deep plot, because I'm sure that Miko has disappeared to resolve a very big incident, unless ZUN is planning to hurt Reimu and make her find out Miko has died (and at that point I'd help Reimu getting revenge over ZUN... lol).
Actually I'd also love a chapter that introduces a character that knows a lot (if not everything) about Gensokyo's history (or a chapter that forces Yukari to actually say everything, or just one of the other elder Youkais) and then have some other chapters (maybe spin-offs if not a side-series) where we can play in the past Gensokyo, finally taking part to those great events we've only read about (just two examples: Yuyuko's suicide to help Yukari to seal the Saigyou Ayakashi; The lunar war).

Touhou 15 will mostly introduce new characters duh (albeit with a little cameo characters from previous series)

There's still a lot of Japanase-Chinese myth characters that haven't yet been explored.

For the future, I want to to see :

- Oshichi, the youkai arsonist.

- Makura-gaeshi, this little prankster youkai move pillow from under your head to your feet

- Kamaitachi, a kunoichi weasel duh :3

- Kodama, a tree spirit

- Fugurama, a delivery cart youkai.

- Gashadokuro, a giant skeleton and scary as Marisa said

- Himiko, Shaman Queen of Yamatotaiku

- Kinmamon, a mysterious deity.

- Genderbend of :
> Taira no Masakado, deified human and war-monger, imagine she wreak havoc in Gensokyo
> Sugawara no Michizane, also deified as Kami of Knowledge and have a bitter history with Fujiwara clan, better watch your ass Mokou :3
> Abe no Seimei, an Omnyouji; come to think of it, we haven't seen any single Omnyouji in Gensokyo except for Ran, who'd actually used some Omnyoudo skill
> Abihiko and Nagasunehiko, chieftains of ancient Yamato and they will be perfect as twin siblings.
>Yamato Takeru, another Prince from Osu.
They've already done it with Miko (based on Prince Shotoku), so why not them too :3

-Arabahaki, an ancient aboriginal God of Japan since Kohun period (Could be a rival or nemesis to Suwako)

- Xi Wangmu or Seioubo, she is an ancient Chinese goddess and central figure in Taoism. Would love to see her interaction with Miko and her group.

- Guanyin or Kanzeon, a patronized boddhi of Compassion in Buddhism (and more saintly figure than Byakuren). Like Xi Wangmu, her interaction with Byakuren and her group is that I would like to see.

Also add the hilarious twist that Xi Wangmu and Guanyin is actually best friends, which shock both of the groups.

- Matsuo-sama, SHE IS THE FRICKIN' KAMI OF FRICKIN' SAKE, WINE, OR ANYTHING THAT MADE YOU DRUNK.
SO WHY THE HELL ZUN IS NOT ADDING THIS ONE TO THE TOUHOU ROSTER YET!?  SHE'LL BE THE MOST FAMOUS CELEBRITY IN GENSOKYO AND GIRLS WILL CRAWL TO HER FEET, BEGGING FOR MORE SAKE (especially the Onis).

as for the big/top player in Gensokyo :

- Huang Long or Ouryou, the Yellow Great Dragon. I suspect this is the True Ruler of Gensokyo itself and definitely above Yukari.

- Gozu-Tennoh, the amalgam of disease God in Shinto, Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism later turned into God of Righteousness.

- Dairoku Tenmao, demon king who tempted Buddhists from practicing the teachings of Buddha.

- Mara, same as above but she's seen as the Devil of Buddhism itself.
 
- Oumagatsu, the God of Impurity.

There's a lot of them that I haven't mentioned yet, so you all might pour your ideas for the next game, as I already done it.

Not so much of a prediction as a story:
The other day I was with a group of friends, and we were having two separate conversations. I was talking with 1&2 about something (Pok?mon, I think? I can't remember exactly) and 3,4,&5 were talking about anime when I went to the other two, and at some point had switched to the Marvel universe, Thor, and from there general Norse mythology.

Suddenly, 3 turns to me and says "You know who should be in a Touhou game". Not a question, a statement.
Okay, here we go again "Who?"
"Tyr"
"Who?"
"Norse god who got his hand bitten off by a wolf and goes around beating people up with his other hand and a club that replaced his lost hand. He's kind of a badass."
Now at this point I'm thinking two things first is How did we get onto this topic? and second Let's just entertain him for a bit.
I don't know much anything about Norse mythology, so I ask:
"Okay, well, what are his powers?", thinking I'll get some response like "Controls [natural event]" or "Can freely travel between [supernatural location]" or something.
"None."
"What?"
"He doesn't have any. That's why he's so badass. Plus didn't you say they were going to put another male character in?"
I did? When? "Well, he has to have SOME sort of power..."
"Yeah but he doesn't. You should make a post on your forum about this, see what they think", then goes back to talking with 4&5 about anime again

So there you have it. Apparently Norse gods confirmed for Touhou 15.
Apparently the only requirement is "Be a badass".
