Hey there I'm Cathy and I pixel Reimu a lot!

In order of oldest to newest, with varying degrees of magnification:

(really old?? I made about 50 tiny sprites all styled like this a while back. most are not touhou and this is the only Reimu)

(I do not have Reimu by herself so you get everyone else too. Can you name all the characters? hint: orange hair guy is actually a humanized cat)

(zoomed in deliberately because they are way way tiny)

(not totally finished yet, but I'm about to completely ruin it by adding more shading so I wanted to post this version before it's lost forever :V )

When I see your name, all I can think of is caterpie using a catheter /brainbleach

Aw dang. It's supposed to be my name (cathy/catherine) combined with caterpie but I can definitely see where the catheter part comes from.

Meanwhile, I'm fed up enough with this to consider it done. Now onto Alice.

Thanks! I was going to pixel all of her effects, too, but I ran out of steam after the other characters. Maybe someday I will go back and do that.

For now, I give you a preview of Alice Margatroid, aka Hair Disaster.



The hardest part of pixel art for me is deciding whether to outline the hair or not. For Alice, I decided to, but I'm questioning that decision now.
The bangs are a mess :V
Ah well, I'll do the body and then come back and fix the hair.

I think that there is a guy looking for ppl to create some pixel art to a platform Yuyuko game. You should talk with him

Well dang, a platformer game with my favorite character? Maybe I should talk to him! After peeking at the thread, though, I'm not sure if my spriting is the right style though (I have a problem with outlines  :V )



I'm about to give her a book to hold, that's why her arm's in that weird pose. I just wanted to show off the clothes because those black stitches ? ? or whatever they are ? are about to be covered up.

I'll probably give her some dolls, too, just hovering around her. Maybe.
She has a bit of a rounder face than Reimu? She's shorter, too. Changed the body type a little bit. Just experimenting, I guess.

Still very similar to my Reimu sprite, of course. Same pose. Same feet  :V

I've rambled long enough, I'll go finish it up now.

Next up, I'll pixel... I'm not sure myself! If anyone has any suggestions as to who I should draw next, feel free to post them, otherwise I'll probably just go with my default (Reimu :V )

Fun fact: after I uploaded this, I immediately noticed a mistake, and ended up going back, changing a handful of pixels, and uploading it again. You can see the original here if you are so inclined (all I did was make her face a little thinner)

To give you honest opinion, I think your Reimu and Alice sprite art has some creepy faces (something about them just doesn't sit with me). Though that Sekibanki looks well done.

I noticed something a little off about them too, but I couldn't figure out how to fix them. Right now I think it's the eyes; they might be too big.

I'll fiddle with them and see if I can't make them look better.
