Surprise! I was going to ask him first the whole time, as a demonstration that sometimes events will let you do more than one thing. Usually this is if you start with an information-gathering option, though sometimes it'll also happen if one choice outright fails (not just goes poorly like when we sent warrior to help on that raid for a favor being called in), and a few events just have certain non-informational choices that just plain do give you more actions after.
I'm not going to make a habit of pointing them out though.

But do feel free to offer a sequence of options if you think it might be the case, or offer an "if asking says X, then Y, otherise Z", or still just always providing one thing, whichever way to vote you like! (Otherwise if such a thing happens I'll just go down the list by most votes and then use my judgement if I run out and still have options.)
... the information-gathering options
usually just send you straight back to the main options, though...

Oh, because apparently asking first makes your weaponthanes sad. Good thing I backed up my virtual machine save state first. :V

Since just letting him stay at Dorasa's was the real winner.
Now we're in Dark season. It's the middle of winter and winter sucks. Any option that sends people outside of your own tula is likely to just straight-up fail because there's too much snow to get out. It makes a very good season to sacrifice in, though.

But first I build a watch tower because it's dirt-cheap and whether it helping you spot raids actually works or not, it's always the first thing to get destroyed when enemies try to destroy your fortifications, so getting one up early makes good protection for anything you build later.

After that I do sacrifice to Ernalda for mysteries, hoping to get Bless Crops. Preserve isn't horrible, at least, though it's not one I'm likely to actually use. Once we do get our footing (and I promise we're not as badly off as a some of you seem to think, even though the first few years are the hardest just because there's so much to do) we'll be rolling in too much food to care about spoilage.

A warrior of Urox from the Six Brothers appears in a rage, demanding that Orlkensor Bronzebones, the outlaw you took in last season, come out to fight him. "You have besmirched my honor, and must pay with your life," the Uroxi cries. Orlkensor is in your clan hall. He refuses to confront the man. "I have sworn a sacred vow to Ernalda that I will not harm him. And if we fight, one of us will surely die.
1. Ask Orlkensor why the Uroxi seeks him.
2. As the Uroxi why his honor is besmirched.
3. Demand that Orlkensor fight the Uroxi.
4. Suggest that they resolve their differences peacefully.
5. Use force to drive the Uroxi off.
If we offend the Uroxi, we could have trouble with all the Storm Bulls in Dragon Pass. (4)

Storm Bulls need to remember their place. (2, 4, 5)

After this is over, we should give gifts to the Uroxi. (Silly Harsaltar, the Uroxi do count as a faction in all the under-the-hood systems stuff, but they're not one we can deal with directly.)

Neither man is about to waver.

We must find the peaceful way. (4)

Sometimes the bulls have to fight, and nothing else will do. (3)

Whew. For a second there, I thought he was after me. (2)
Another reason I was pleasantly surprised to see the Orlkensor event pop so early - it's a nice introduction to event chains. :V
