Iskalli: Ace Attorney

Let's use that ivory we just found.

And then, as requested, QUEST TIME.

Though it's been long enough since our first quest attempt that I suppose it's probably worth asking anew what we want for our goal. (Though, I suppose I should have asked that before picking our quester, too, what with the strengthening the quester option; given our track record on heroquests so far though it's probably a good idea to send our strongest Orlanth worshipper specifically. :V)

Reputation would probably be good.

And GJ Iskalli.  Now to teach him combat lawyering MvC3 style.

...I can't help but picture a bunch of people angrily yelling a bunch of law stuff at an amorphous mute ectoplasmic blob and it's the best thing. Gods this game is awesome.

Anyway, yeah, go for reputation.

Question: Are all of these payouts of roughly equal value?

Improving the abilities of your whole ring (instead of just the quester) are useless shit. we're required to run it for gaining Orlanth's blessing at some point eventually. But I've actually already done the playing for this update and was unable to post because of the TSO's birthday joke so it's too late to change now anyway. =P

Actually as long as I have the update ready there's no point in waiting.

As before, we go after reputation (which doesn't give us a blurb), and successfully overcome the Doubting Wheel, bringing us...

To where we failed before. Shall we again attempt to follow the myths exactly as they are written, or shall we attempt to forge the story anew?

What's Ostgard's combat rating again?

Can't actually check mid-quest (that's about the only time you can't!) but I'm pretty sure I remember him hitting Heroic.

I recall Orlgard reached the highest level of Combat, so if anyone can do it, he can. 1.

Orlgard finds the Knowing God, who is head of the Marks On Bark Clan. The Knowing God is trapped inside a great cube. He says that the Stone Tribe imprisoned him, because he tried to make new knowledge about them, and the Stone Tribe hates new things.

1. Go find Vadrus.
2. Hit the cube.
3. Leave the realm of the gods.
4. Recite a poem to the cube.
5. Tell the Knowing God to launch a legal claim against the cube.
6. Threaten the cube.

The myths: less useful here than usual. But not entirely useless!

Hrm...  The cube is acting legally.  And violence probably isn't the answer.  That leaves....

I'll have to go with four on this one. Threats will probably do nothing, and legal action only works so many times.

Ruined it so it fell apart. I think hitting it would work. Dunno if Ollie has the chops for poetry.

Well, I mean, I played through this myth with QUEEN ANGRY and remember a poem part, and that was how the thing fell apart.

What kind of poem should we tell the cube?

1. A poem about square things becoming round.
2. A poem about storm people beating stone people.
3. A poem no one has heard before.
4. The most beautiful poem you know.
