I've been following the manga about a few years ago, and decided to finish it up after I heard it was going to have an anime, one month prior.

Read it, I felt the life force draining in me. The manga made felt as if I was in their cause, and seeing the slayed comrades made have a fictional thousand-yard stare.

Was planning to cosplay either Colossal or Armored Titan and do that silly dance in the Kyojin-kun video. :3

Still the anime fits perfectly with the manga, but it goes amazingly fast, with the first two episodes going past Chapter 16. People often say that people who read the manga often reduces the fun when watching the anime since we already know what's happening. I have to disagree on that as the anime gives a whole new perspective to the manga, and thus enriches it with actual sound and effects.

Also, being a dick cause of spoilers is fun. :V

To be honest I really really really really really REALLY want to cosplay the Armored Titan (and hopefully find a Colossal Titan to tag with). Just the big problem is to get the body suit and perhaps I'll need to craft myself the face of the Armored Titan.

I also plan to cos Reiner Braun if my plan with my buddy goes extremely well, or maybe I could call myself an OC Recon soldier (or alternatively, cosplay as an OC and claim 'Hey you know that

she's alive. Not only has she appeared conscious and healing in chap 45, the end of that battle itself was Mikasa and the others arriving and saving her in the nick of time. Hell, the chap ended with Christa confessing her love telling Ymir her real name (Historia), to which Ymir opens her eyes slightly and smiles.

if you mean her titan form being permanently destroyed... it also doesn't make sense, since Eren's titan form was also horribly destroyed more than once and he's still able to use it.

I postulated the entire specialty about Eren is that his Titan form can endlessly regenerate, perhaps faster or something compared with some other Titans, he seems to be a deviant as well seeing as he has some traits quite unlike the rest of the Titans.

so far as I see it:
1. Type 1 deviant - body size (the collosal)
2. Type 2 - Body type (Annie, and Armored - the ability to manipulate outer body structures, hard skin, crystallization, fortified armor)
3. Type 3 - Speaking and other humanly possible or enhanced internal specialties - (The Orangutan type. may have enhanced eyesight - larger eyes, seemingly running faster or has better mobility such as Ymir)
4. Type 4 - A combination of all, but remotely lesser in each department - (Annie, and perhaps Eren - Annie is very in tune with her Titan form, being able to utilize it to the maximum of her advantages including hardening only specific parts, the cry for help and other things, extensive regeneration to pinpoint specific injuries, this may be the later chapter Eren once he gets a grip on his Titan powers)

Hmm, after episode seven some of my theories are starting to look pretty plausible. All of these are just guesses and are not based on manga spoilers.

1-The titans reproduce by eating humans, the offspring resembles the devoured person, and there will be an Eren titan: Outlook good, possibly even straight up confirmed

Oh yeah, I remember that now that you mention it. The 3d maneuver gear and the technology to extract and process natural gas seem way more advanced than the rest of the technology we've seen so far, but that could be because we just haven't seen a ton of what day to day life is like.

Maybe natural gas powered shotguns or some shit, heck, there should no real need to venture out and relying on long range rifles or some deep penetrating natural gas powered projectile, but no, it seems they still need the high tech gear of the strapped soldiers and interchangeable blades on those gears... if they did have natural gas and ways to extract it, wouldn't a strategically sticky C4-esque deep penetration bomb at the neck of the titan prove more devastating? Besides, how would they aim for their one weak spot with canons or rifles, when titans can move faster than a horse when they want? Not to mention, they'd have to quickly move around the field anyway, to be able to see the back of the titan so they can hit the weak spot; considering, again, how fast they can be, soldieis would need their 3D gear anyway, to move fast enough to position themselves before shooting. And in the time it takes to find a suitable position, take your weapon, and aim... and we don't even know if a bullet wound would be enough to kill them, even if it did hit their weak point; I mean, the piece of flesh that they cut off to kill the titans is pretty big, it's likely that a bullet wound wouldn't be enough to finish them.

 A shotgun could be useful, since a point blank shot could probably destroy their weak spot, but that'd require them to get close anyway, so there's not much point in substituting the swords with them. A bomb would be even worse, since you'd have to land, make sure the bomb is glued to the right place, activate it, and only then leave. That's just complicating matters to get pretty much the same result.

When i say C4-esque I mean they can adapt, most C4s are planted when while taking their own sweet time, given the highly agile movements of the Titans, ideally since they can only swing one way while being limited to fairly human angles (thanks to a skeletal structure of humans generally, save for some extra molars and in the case of the Collosal Titan - extra ribs and thickened ankles, shins, knee, toes which seems to be a full piece of bone or something) ideally perhaps using a sword, or sharp structure, swoop down and stab it, and run. All the while there must be a bait and switch technique to keep the Titan busy. There is one thing they have in common, with the defenders like Mikasa able to use a Spiderman-esque swing and hit, using the gas to escape before the Titan can even react to the insta-bomb aimed at that particular spot would be greater than using swords that are blunted in one full strike.

You mentioned a shotgun too, given most shotguns don't do the damage you see in Zombie movies (ie, they aren't the crazy hand-carried angel of deaths so claimed) even pellet shots are can prove useless to thickened hide (the Armored Titan's extra armor can break Wall Maria's Gate, what good can a small hand-carried shotgun do?). I would say instead of that, perhaps explosive rounds, inside a high powered single shot needle-type weapon, that can be primed beforehand and shot and run away immediately.
