I don't know if I want to even bother trying again, this was essentially perfect. The only mistake made was trivial enough on a trivial pattern (fairies) that I could completely overlook it, but I can't exactly put up a video of this without "it isn't really perfect" haunting me.

Damn, that pretty much should've been a perfect, the bullet on the 1st spell seemed to just come out of no-where and get you in the face...  Interesting method for the spell which seems risky for me but you're probably comfortable with it so I don't think it's the methods fault, just a silly out-of-the-blue death.

No miss, No charge attacks Lunatic run in PoFV at 20 FPS. Started out as me being bored and wanting to find out if Shiki is truly impossible to beat in the first round. Turns out she's not if you just survive long enough and play as the right character. This is of course highly impossible playing but I would watch the replay. It's pretty damn crazy.

And I can't seem to record this game without heavy framerate drops so if someone would like to help out with recording it for me, I'd appreciate it. If not, the replays there to enjoy for those who like to see someone survive impossible things. Anything from Aya and onwards was a lot of fun for me to fight under these conditions and at this framerate. At 60 fps though, it's out of the question. Shiki herself was quite tough even at 20FPS too. Pretty exciting. She went on for almost 6 minutes so it's like 18 minutes in real time

I did another NMNB of EoSD Stage 6 Lunatic. There's some slight strategy changes, but nothing drastic. I really need to become more consistent on perfecting that stage so I can do it even in full runs.

  Holy fucking shit what the fuck Jaimers, congrats, that's awesome. Even though I 1cc'd the ultra mode, I considered Four D mode to be complete and utter bullshit and almost humanly impossible. I'll most definitly check the replay when I can.

Also congrats Zil for that PoDD crazyness, I really need to step up my game and start doing lunatic mode, but it's just too fast for me and I just die over and over at stage 1...  (Though maybe not spamming lvl 2 spells for score would really help me survive a lot more :V, or maybe not using Chiyuri... or both :V)

Took about 5-6 attempts. Almost got tagged on the 2nd non and i'm not sure if my little evasive maneuver would have been adequate if the attack didn't die when it did but i'm happy to have been able to pull of NMNB Stage 5 with so little effort.

I was wondering if there was a end-bonus-y related reason. I assume the bonus IS bigger if you have more spare lives at the end of the run, but I guess it's never worth saving a life over having another round to score in?

The bonus is only 1 million per life, so the last round is obviously worth it. The real question is whether it's worth risking a game over (losing the entire clear bonus) to play out the last round, I think.

Yeah, it's like Karisa said. And if I really play it safe in the final round, not only would I be earning very few points during the match, but I'd end up with a really bad clear bonus as well, since it doesn't carry things over from the rounds you lost. So usually If I have only one extra life and the round's been going really well, I'll (try to) win the round for the big clear bonus, and to avoid risking a game over.

Now earlier today I managed a no-bomb run with Marisa, which makes 5/9. I'll see if I can get that uploaded before the end of the day. It bothers me that I can't actually play the game while processing and uploading these videos though. My computer just can't handle it.

I may have failed my goal, but this run is not a failure to me

So I was trying IN lunatic no focus because I think it's odd that I still don't have any lunatic challenges completed, other than barebones 1ccs.  and let's face it, those are challenging enough in and of themselves for most people.  What ended up coming out of that was this run.  Let's just go through what happened.

Stage 3 went about as well as you'd expect for solo Yukari.  I ended up leaving it with 2 lives and 3 bombs, which I felt was more than solid given the condition.  Hell, I've cleared with 2/1 leaving the stage playing normally.

Well... yeah.  The question* has been whether she'd voluntarily take a final hit in the first round, not whether she'd get hit if she can't avoid a bullet.  She doesn't have invincibility.

Also, any character can deliver a final hit; some simply require a ton of luck.

*I'm almost certain that the answer is no; but even if it's yes, it's irrelevant because nobody will survive long enough, regardless of tactics.  Someone could always test this with complete pacifism and cheat-engine invincibility for shits and giggles, though.

You'd probably want to set it to shoot automatically, then just go afk, since as far as I'm aware even the early game AI never gets hit unless you shoot things every once in a while. But yeah, slowing down the game and no-missing with Reimu doesn't really prove anything. You could probably do it at the regular 60fps if you're lucky.
