Why is Eternal Meek by far the easiest spell in that stage except Remi's second card? I don't get it, i thought it was supposed to be really hard.

You're not facing it at max rank, I guess. Remember - this is stage practice. Try to get to it with at least 15M by using all your bombs.

Haven't improved my ReimuA run since November of last year is kinda saddening. I get to stage 6 with 2 miss. Died 4 times to stage 6 when I perfected it before.
I did improve ReimuB though. Went from 7M to 6M with a death in stage 3.

Also I did a 90fps clear of PCB Lunatic. This game gives so many lives!

I did another EoSD No-bomb run and ended 0/0. Reimu-B this time. Patchouli was perfect but Stages 5 and 6 were bad. Altho Meister was capped at least.

Finally got my first PoDD Lunatic 1cc.  Used Reimu.

Because I've finally gotten consistent at Suwa Wars (7 captures in a row), I decided to try some MoF Extra scoring. I've never seriously scored before, but since I got 920 million on my ReimuA perfect, I figured I can get something pretty good going. And before I knew it, I spent all day scoring this stage, but the result of my efforts was...

Aw yeah. But although I'm happy, I have a kernel of dissatisfaction. Because of the maybe ~10 runs that got to Suwako without me restarting, this was among the worst ones. Of course that had to be the one where I perfect Suwako. I had a good run that got past Froggy Braves the Elements that would have gotten several million higher I think, but I died on the dumb last nonspell. Oh well.

I might try MarisaA next. Don't count on it though.

Almost got a no-bomb run in PoDD. 1-miss first 8 stages (can't recall where) but then I blew it against Yumemi. I got her down to half a heart for quite a long time. Definitely doable for me in fact I think it may be easier than a vanilla Chiyuri clear.

Got a NMNB stage 5 in EoSD as well.

So yeah, I used Reisen because getting all the extends with her is so easy. Apart from that, I don't think she's really broken.
The run went pretty well. Scored around 20M against stage 5 Reimu, messed up stage 6, average stage 7, pretty intense second round in stage 8.
And I had my five lives going into stage 9. Eiki should have died in the third round. Not kidding, I lost at 3:13, she had been on her last hit for an awfully long time. So I lost the fourth round in 1:30 because I was raging, and won the fifth one at 2:05 or something. I had all my life orbs full when she died. Take that  :V

Second actual Lunatic 1cc, yay. PoFV is awesome.

yeah, reisen is pretty average tier, I believe. the massive amount of bullets can trap the AI, but that's rare.

yes, you were really unlucky with that third eiki round. she should have died around 3:00, but it happens that the AI a bit longer lasts (up to 20 second afaik). the 4th round :'D sounds like something I'd do. good thing you recovered in the last one.

I know you had a lot of problems getting that 1cc without an OP character, so a big congratulations. I am glad you are one of those that recognize PoFV's greatness. keep at it, clear with a low tier character next!

Reisen is one of the hard 1cc's. When I did the silly challenge, she took the longest. GJ.

I got a PoDD Lunatic no bomb run. Finished with 1 life to spare. No hits against Chiyuri () Guess I got lucky. I really like doing no-bomb runs in some of these games. It does seem to fit EoSD perfectly, for one. In PoDD, you don't rely on the bombs a huge amount, but the hypers are very helpful, and you cannot use those with bombs in stock. I still think a Chiyuri clear by itself is harder than a no-bomb run with a high tier character, though.

I might try for no-miss next, but that would have to be with Yumemi to cross spam stage 9.

Thank you. Although instead of doing MarisaA, I decided to improve ReimuA first, because there was definitely room for improvement. And I would have to learn a lot of things with a new shot-type, which I don't feel like doing yet, lol.

Did this last night. I failed to bomb Suwako's opener AGAIN. LOL. This time because the bomb before Suwako killed two of the power item fairies. It's not that I usually fail it, but for some reason the ones that do always end up being the ones that don't mess up on Suwako >_>. I had a run with 640k faith after Suwako's opener (crazy, this run had 635k), but I died on either Froggy Braves the Elements or the nonspell afterwards, don't remember. So that potential 5k more should give me like 7 million more if my estimate is correct, and that'd probably be pretty much the limit with my current route.

So if I failed to bomb Suwako's opener, where does the improvement come on the 965 million come from (I didn't post about it in the Accomplishments thread but you can check my comments on the Mountain of Faith score thread)? I learned of ways to improve a few parts. Namely, Kanako's spells and the two sets of these:



I could still improve the very beginning just by copying the WR and get an extra, like, 500 thousand, but I haven't bothered yet :V

I have a question: on "Two Claps, One Bow". If you end it while the cluster of bullets is off the top of the screen, are those still converted into faith? I've been pausing for them to come down, but I'm suspecting that this does nothing but lose me a bit of spellcard bonus. I mean it's not a huge deal, but yeah it'd be nice to know. As well as the ideal time to end Long Arm Long Leg. Damn, it sucks that most of the top ReimuA replays desync at Suwako.

Mastered Stupid Lovely Miko's False Exorcism. A week ago it was 6/60 in practice, now at 101/231. I'd tried watching other people do it, but despite being okay at surviving it timed out, I couldn't capture the thing at all. But over the last 170 tries I perfected my own method that I can do pretty much every time. It'd be a better ratio yet, but I started trying to beat my score after about 50 wins. My best was 9,430,820.

Personally I'd say Sakuya, Youmu, Tewi, Lyrica, Mystia, Komachi. I think Tewi's scope's lack of vertical reach is a big drawback. It also expands so very slowly, so it's easy to ram spirits instead of activating them. (Lyrica's scope has similar issues.) Tewi also fights Medicine and Komachi, probably the hardest options for both stages 7 and 8. Mystia and Lyrica are pretty close. Mystia does get Medi, but I personally think her speed is a big enough advantage against Eiki (at least with my playstyle) to counterbalance that. Lyrica also charges slowly. I've found that Komachi isn't really as hard to use as I once thought. Her scope and charge attack are tremendously useful. All this just being my opinions, playstyle, etc. I think we can definitively say that Sakuya is the overall hardest though. Her scope sucks, her charge attack is weak, her spells cripple her bullet cancelling, etc.

I still think a Chiyuri clear by itself is harder than a no-bomb run with a high tier character, though.

I agree. Reimu is actually probably the easiest to no-bomb with because her boss attack isn't dangerous to the player and her charge speed is high. Kotohime also has this going for her, just without the yin-yangs. Conversely, I found Rikako to be very hard to no-bomb with in comparison, though I'd normally say she the stronger character. For no-miss, Yumemi's probably the best choice though, yeah.

But congrats, in any event. And you too Minogame. Never thought I'd see the day when PoDD would be as popular as it is now.

Hm, Tewi... I've found her ex-attacks to be effective, but ex-attacks are always a crapshoot so maybe I'm simply remembering more times where I had good luck than times when I didn't.  So I think I agree that she should be on that list.  ...bleh, my rustiness is showing.  I ought to keep quiet.

And yes, Mystia is the best.  You might get a bit of an objection from a certain someone if you decide to make her your PoFV waifu, though.
