Tomorrow (August 16) is Comiket 86's Touhou day. ZUN has updated his blog for his Comiket 86 activity.

For the first time ever, he will not sell a new work at a convention. Instead, this is a clearance sale, selling discs he cleared out during his move. He will still be present himself.

All Windows Touhou shooting games made by ZUN, sold at 1000 Yen each.

The Touhou day has ended. Last summer Comiket was record-breakingly hot. This time the weather is much more agreeable.

This was how ZUN's booth looked like:

His blog post mentioned a "+α" in addition to the other discs he was going to sell. As you can see, this "alpha" turned out to be the DDC demo disc. Nothing exotic like the unreleased TD demo or the Comiket 62 editions of EoSD and Dolls of Pseudo Paradise, lol.

Speaking of Comiket 62, a relevant topic has exploded on Japanese twitter. At Comiket, 桜木李杏 (probably pronounced Sakuraki Rikyuu; @cynthia_koko), a Touhou fan who has put in a lot of work investigating Satsuki Rin, (tried to) ask ZUN about the identity of the Comiket 62 circle cut girl with erhu - the one we often assume to be Satsuki. Sakuraki seemed to have asked questions including whether the girl was a character "planned to appear in EoSD", and whether she was designed to be the "poster girl" of Team Shanghai Alice; ZUN's answer to the first question was negative.

Even though Sakuraki never spelt out the name "Satsuki Rin" to ZUN directly, we've still got an answer - the erhu girl was likely not Satsuki Rin. Sakuraki said this was their expected answer. Art thou ready to accept it, fellow Touhou fan? :flowerpower:

then i guess she was probably just a planned midboss that got scrapped for lack of time (he said many times he was short on time for EOSD and he didn't clean the presentation very well, didn't he?)
that whould explains why she has a sprite from the front (as an ennemy) and not from the back (as a player).

then i guess the actual SatsuKI RIN was just an idea and he didn't even got around to ever drawing her... a little dissapointing.

Well, any connection between the unused information and the unused sprites and the circle cut and so on have always just been assumptions. There's no reason besides "they're all unused" that they would all be of the same thing.

Satsuki Rin was a player character discovered from the game's executable file. The unused sprite was obviously an earlier version of Rumia. They are entirely separate things.

Ichijinsha will publish a 128-page artbook for TOKIAME named "Hourai". This will be his first proper artbook, collecting his Touhou illustrations plus some additional commercial and personal works. The book costs 2700 Yen (tax included).

N-Forza has PayPal, and in terms of speed is comparable to a comfortable margin with ordering directly, if either of those are a factor for you. If not, I'm sure others can post links.

I don't know, it just kinda happened! There was only the one option available to ship, I clicked it and it was just over 12 dollars...that seemed reasonable so I placed the order. It's called 'AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping' on my receipt:

As a frequenter of Kinokuniya, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
There's always a tiny possibility, but the only non-canon Touhou print works that I've ever seen in Kinokuniyas are the Touhou Project Illustration Tutorial Guides.

ZUN originally got only a few copies of that CD printed. Most people in Japan never got to listen to it, and sealed copies were being sold for very high prices.
