Most public servers are okay places to begin learning the game. Valve servers are fine as well but I think the playerbase in those is too lousy to be taken into consideration. Offline practice and bot servers are two more ways to get the hang of basic gameplay too without too much worry about other players' behaviour.

Feel free to contact one of us for coaching, training, etc; we can easily give some pointers and advice in the right direction. Sent ya a friend request too to facilitate coordination in server meets and whatnot.

If you want to try uncrating stuff, then yes, but buy sparingly. Trying to get Strange weps and especially Unusuals can be very mesmerising and painful to one's wallet. Just warning ya. :V

I buy keys as collateral for trading for the items that I want. It is a lot more successful than taking chances on opening a crate for what I desire. It's a heftier price, and I'll pay it since I'm relying on someone else's luck.

Never.

You don't even need to buy them to get them.

People just like handing stuff out for free these days.

Next time just ask someone when he gets that random drop it you could have it.

Because very high chances are he doesn't even care.

So I have this problem that's annoying me ever since 2 weeks ago.

Every time I log in to steam, TF2 verifies game cache.

EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME.

So I did the clientregistry.blob trick but it didn't work. I let the shit validate but when I run it it validates again.

what do

Both Freyband and I had the same problem, the only way that seemed to work was reinstalling. So, have fun  :V

Well mine didn't do it each time I booted up steam. It just does it from time to time when launching, or if I didn't let it validate before turning steam off (as in told it to stop and shut off steam without manually telling it to validate).
Might try running a defrag (both full pc and just tf2 through steam).

My TF2 wanted to validate many times, but each time, it seemed like it wasn't progressing. So there were several times that I canceled out of it, even after it said it was at 100%. Steam would try to do the validation thing again sometime later, and the headache continued. I decided to just let the validation run until it completed itself, which took longer than it should have. Finally it gave me the prompt that the validation was completed.

I haven't had any more issues with it since.

So do any of you think the nice crate items will drop later? I'm kinda figuring they won't, but I've been wrong before.  :derp:
