nobody finds these bosses easy. sakuya has overall a high difficulty with a killer spell at the end, to boot. and every I know has trouble against orin. even nindel dies to her more or less regularly, afaik.

for me it's wriggle on easy. I have a 40% caprate on wriggle's last spellcard. can't go in circles. Marisa as a whole is also really hard. also, fuck kaguya. all of my pain ;_;

Nitori and to a lesser extent, Kanako.

Extending Arm is evil, and on lunatic I fail Kappa's Illusory Waterfall as often as I fail Hydro Camouflage (and derp on Spin the Cephalic Plate)
Kanako's first nonspell is pure luck for me and Source of Rains relies on good RNG with the arrows.  Oh and I lost my ability to dodge VoWG, yay  :ohdear:

Honestly, Ten Desires in general. I have no idea what people are talking about when they call it an easy game.

Yoshika just overwhelms me, Seiga winds up walling me, Stage 5 has ARROWS with the most cliptastic hitboxes I've ever seen in a Touhou game (I am begging you ZUN never use those danmaku again, they'd be reasonable at half the hitbox size), and Miko is like Yoshika 2.0. Not to mention Seiga and Miko both use enormous ball bullets that just love to clip me, and Miko's are hard to even see the edges of.

I'd sooner 1CC SA Lunatic than 1CC TD Lunatic, if that's any indication.

I have the worst luck with Okuu sometimes. While she's not the hardest final boss, dear god can she eat my lives like candy if I don't bomb spam.

Speaking of final bosses, Yuyuko is seriously an issue for me. I just cannot do her cards, Youmu too.

Remilia. No they don't think she's easy but they certainly don't find her as hard as I do.

Other than that, I dunno. A lot of bosses in Touhou seem to use the trick of making you think that the boss is actually quite easy but that's part of her ploy to catch you off guard in a full run with a particularly nasty piece of RNG or simply the player being nervous or something so I guess the answer to this question could be EVERYONE.

Touhous. They are all assholes. They exist entirely to fuck me in one way or another
Usually making me cry as I feel violated, having to restart my entire run because the boss who usually seems easy enough in practice suddenly feels a lot worse.

Cirno, no seriously.  I go into EoSD all LOL ⑨ and get my ass kicked.  Stupid fandom making me think it's gonna be easy cause she's dumb, when in reality throwing all bullets all willy-nilly and then stopping them and then throwing them in even randomer directioins is probably the least dumb thing to do in a game with patterns.

Personally, I find getting that safespot harder than dodging it normally.

there is no reason not to use it considering it's super easy and it's more beneficial for score than just dodging it. you are not only making it harder on yourself, you also miss out on score (albeit not much)

But to be honest and put in a less offensive and dickish way, it's as BT says. If you know what you are doing, it's not a hard attack. For Hard/Lunatic, I usually misdirect her first shot to the right, then the second to the left and then I move down and dodge the third one. I would imagine that strat would work on Easy/Normal as well.

The kind gentlemen are saying that Cirno's first nonspell shouldn't give you problems... provided you know what you're doing. Don't be afraid to misdirect her blasts at the very last second, from a high vertical point.

It's been a while, so here's a new one.

Which boss has the best nonspells?

The two that come to mind are (boss) Sakuya and Kaguya. Sakuya's first two and Kaguya's first in particular require a lot of quick dodging and "reading ahead" skills which makes them really fast-paced and fun, and somewhat VoWG-ish in style. Sakuya's last has annoying hitboxes, but tests your reading skills and is satisfying to dodge as well. Kaguya's last also has a lot of reading, but in a different way, and it manages to be pretty intense despite being slow and not too hard. Her second also has great random dodging with some strategic misdirection, although her third isn't that special I suppose.

There's also a few others that I like, such as Mokou's 6th and 7th (and probably Ran/Yukari's 7th as well, but I usually chicken out on that one and use a border), which are challenging, but always fair and require quick switches between reading the fast and slow bullets. Sanae's (boss) first is similar to Sakuya's and Kaguya's first, although it has a tendency to wall you if you're fooling around.

Sakuya's are strangely enjoyable. Remilia's aren't half bad either, they feel like spellcards themselves. I also enjoy Murasa's (I love rainlike danmaku) and Shou's (I love curvy lasers).

Sakuya's first and second nons are great fun. Yumeko is the only PC98 boss worth a damn. Can't really think of any other bosses with especially good non spells at the moment... Shou's maybe but the second one is too hard for me.

Aesthetically, I think Satori's nons are very beautiful. Same with Ran/Yukari, and Yuyuko.

Is it bad that I like Ichirin's non spells due to the surprise cross lasers? I like Reisen, Tewi, Marisa, and Yuyuko (1st TD boss), and Kyouko's also for shits and giggles.
