>Grin. "Worth a shot. I like mirroring my opponents after all. 'sides, not a waste if the goal's to drain my energy reserves."
>How much did doing that drain anyhow?
>Let's form a Dark Energy Cross, and bolster the points only.

> Elly shrugs. "If you don't fight seriously you'll die before you're worn out."

> You don't feel tired at all yet. It's hard to say when you're worn out, and even if you use up all your dark energy, you still have energy left for other attacks.

> You form a dark energy cross, which the points glowing with the dark blue of the Qi. Elly seems to be analyzing your weapon, and keeps her distance, before she fires a fan-like spray of danmaku of a type you don't recognize, sets to two thin bullets in pairs. It's not a hard pattern at all.

> The spinning cross blocks the danmaku with no issues.

> "Really? Well then, I better go all out as well." Elly says, before you feel her gathering energy, before swinging her scythe, and sending out a wave of red energy from it as a shockwave.

> You swing your cross with all your might. You are unable to form a 'cross-wave' so you just fling dark energy from it instead.

> The dark energy is sliced in two by the wave Elly sent, but her blast stops short due to it.

> Elly's scythe twists around her, so the blade passes around the back of her neck, and the tip is next to her mouth, pointing forwards. She then spins, and the scythe un-wraps, before Elly... throws it, spinning at a tremendous rate, towards you in an arc.

> You curl your cross like... a crossblade.

>If we're able to dissolve the cross into danmaku, do so immediately when the scythe appears to cut through the cross (if it succeeds in doing so)
>Summon up another cross, tips reinforced of course.

> You could do it, but the danmaku would be unfocused and scattered thinly.

> The scythe cuts through the cross, but in doing so is knocked off target, and misses you by a fair distance, before it returns to Elly, who catches such a rapidly spinning bladed weapon like a professional.

> You summon up another cross.

>Why would she throw her weapon away though? Pay attention to that scythe if it cuts through in case it ends up coming in from behind like a boomerang.
>Also, douse the area in darkness.

> You don't think you need to worry about it boomeranging, since it already did and Elly has it again.

> You don't know why you didn't do that earlier. Might have something to do with everyone not caring about the dark recently.

> Elly, however, doesn't seem to be sure where you have gone, and takes a defensive stance. You're no expert, but you don't think a scythe is the world's greatest defensive weapon.

> This doesn't change the fact that Elly is in a defensive stance and not moving. Mines don't really help much when someone's standing still anyway.

>Let's make the mines converge on her in a spherical cage, then detonate all at once!

> You make the mines slowly converge, they can't move fast, on account of them being... mines and volatile.

> Elly remains in a defensive position, then you detonate the dark energy mines in a massive eruption of dark energy.

> When the smoke clears, you do not see Elly. You see a large cube, made of many smaller squares, with some irregular surfaces, and some cracks in them.

> Some of the squares vanish, revealing Elly's face.

> "I guess that was impressive. However, I am not a Shinigami who's forte is attack and simply reaping. I go after the prideful, and use my defense to break their pride in combat before I reap them. For an exhaustion exercise, I am perfect, as my fortress of endless tiles cannot be beached easily." Elly explains. "My power isn't for offense, but defense, summoning and controlling floor tiles."

> It seems that the squares are made from some extremely dense type of stone.

>How are we holding up, just about ready for Shinki to do her thing?

> "It takes some energy. Just not a lot, it's just a low level teleportation." Elly says.

> You're out of dark energy, but you still have other forms of attacking, such as your Qi, and your natural powers, such as energy you can put into physical combat or danmaku.

> "Anyway..." Elly says, with her scythe extending, and looping back in a spiral behind her. "I know where you are now from the sounds... so prepare to face my most destructive attack; Apple Peeler!"

> Elly launches her arm forward, slinging the scythe forward, which unravels and sends out some spiral shockwave was it flings forward, like a spring releasing energy. Seeing from the sheer backlash of the attack on Elly in recoil, you don't want to take it head-on.

>Let's dodge out of the way as best we can!

> You dodge out of the way, but the attack twists the air enough that even when out of the line of fire, your arm gets lacerated somewhat. It'll heal quickly when you're in natural shadow.

> You note that the attack leveled a good area of the forest, and reduces the trees to logs, and has torn the ground badly.

> You thought Elly claimed her focus WASN'T attack. That was on the level of a Master Spark from the Yuuka copy. You now surmise Elly wasn't joking about her power level boasts.

> You don't think she could withstand Titania's full powered spark, but a Master Spark is clearly within her capabilities to tank.

> "Hah, my power is defense, but my scythe here is a youkai scythe in it's own right! It's destructive power is equal to my defensive power, I guess you could call us a perfect match. And yeah, I like apples. Yuuka pays me in apples." Elly explains.

> You unleash a high amount of danmaku at Elly, who waves and dodges and blocks, while closing in, ready to swing her scythe. "It's no fun just defending ya know." she says.

> You dodge the scythe, which swings past you, before you retaliate with a palm strike, causing Elly to fly back.

> However, as she does so, she curves the scythe around you, so as she flies back, the scythe cuts into your side heavily. You fall to the ground, outside your sphere of darkness, and start to regenerate the rather serious wound due to the tree cover providing shade. You feel your energy reducing rapidly, after all, this is the first time you've tried to regenerate what could be a damaged organ. You regenerate in a couple of minutes, but are completely exhausted.
