"The only way I can grant you the ability to wield a weapon with enough of my divine power to harm gods, is to overload your being, which is filled with the Makai Heart's power, with my own. However, that power directly conflicts with my own, and you would be unable to wield such a weapon. As a result, the only way I can even try to inject my power into you without causing you to violently explode in energy, is for you to all but completely exhaust your energy reserves."

> The goddess pauses. "After that, I can inject you with enough of my own power that it should give you the ability to use a weapon in create for you. As an added bonus, you should be powered up beyond even your current state. However, there is a downside, your natural energy will return, and clash with what I grant you... you'll have to find some way to handle that yourself, but seeing your Feng-Shi training, and your combination of Qi with Dark Energy, I don't think handling your inner energies will be too much of an issue. Maybe occasional discomfort, but at least you shouldn't explode or anything."

> Alice adds something. "If you are filled with Shinki's energy, you're also technically being reborn by Shinki, and become her daughter too, instead of the Makai Heart's. That way, I guess you really could call me your sister, and Shinki your mother."

> "Also, hopefully, if you completely exhaust your energy, I might be able to cripple the demon inside you as I surge my own energy into you." Shinki adds, finally.

I dealt her a fatal wound, one that should have killed her, but, somehow, she phased into the core of Makai itself, her willpower refusing to die... and the Heart twisted her, with the sole purpose of killing me. In truth, you already have a god-slaying weapon, however, my power should do one of two things, make you a new one, or purify your existing one, the one you cannot use at all without sinking into madness."

> Shinki turns. "Do you know what the chains that bound her in your mind were? They were a part of her own weapon. You have the chains of the Ninth Descent sealed within you already. The chains that seal the giants killed in the Gigantomachy in hell. The chains can restrain gods, and make them moral while they are bound. They are the cruelest type of weapon. they do not simply kill gods, like the Gungir would... they make gods moral, and imprison them, powerless, awaiting their doom."

> Shinki rips open a red portal in the air, and you can see the inner sanctum of Pandemonium, and Shinki's throne, with a younger-looking Yumeko by her side.

> Then, a blood-shaded portal opens, and a being with crimson wings appears. She is, in a word, breathtaking to behold. Her hair is blonde with streaks of crimson, and she wears what seems to be a golden, ornate armor. In one hand she wields a longsword, with a ruby in the hilt.

> The being swings the sword, and the ruby glows, before a shockwave of crimson energy flows from it. Yumeko deflects the attack with her own blade, but is swiftly moved aside.

> "Abomination..." the being says, swinging at Shinki, and actually drawing a small amount of blood. Shinki responds by forming her sceptre in her hand, and blocking the next strike, before she blasts the being with a gout of dark red flame, ruining the stranger's wings, turning them charred and black.

> The being unleashes a blast of energy from the sword's ruby, which Shinki deflects back at her, blasting an arm off, before the goddess, with one blow with her sceptre, obliterates the mid-rift of the being, leaving only the upper body and lower legs after the impact, no blood, just... destroyed.

> Yumeko walks over to her.

> "No pulse." the maid says.

> Shinki confirms, and the memory ends.

>"Hmm...It seems that she, or whoever she served, really did not like the idea of you running your own place. To think that I used to look and think like that so long ago though. Shame about the wings though, that'd explain why mine are all black and stuff, though the Makaiheart probably didn't help any."

> You see your true, evil self, standing before Shinki and Yumeko. She knocks Yumeko aside, while hissing, like some feral creature, before uttering "Shinki...."

> Chains come from her palms, and wrap around the goddess, before she forms a blade of dark energy, and causes a light wound, before another.

> "I'll make you suffer for a while..." she hisses.

> Yumeko knocks you aside, before she slashes at the chains with her swords, actually damaging them. A spear of dark energy is hurled, and explodes, but not before Yumeko throws seven swords, four cutting Shinki free, three warping through space to your past self, but getting destroyed.

> Yumeko's body is completely gone, and Shinki surges forward, before blasting a magic which seems even greater than the Devil's Recitation at your past self, and binding you, before throwing the demonic version of yourself into a portal.

That would mean that against non-divines, they're about as useful as regular chains. I'd be better off using just plain-old Dark Energy Chains instead. Better bang for my buck that way. If Yumeko was trapped, she would not be able to break out. However others can break the chains as if they are normal chains." Shinki explains. "Besides, it could be that you can't, or would rather not, use the chains. I can always forge you a more conventional weapon with my power, once you are able to wield something created out of my raw energy."

> "Can't you figure that out? You need to expend all your energy. It's either you do so against her, or you fight me." Shinki says. "I'd rather not risk disintergrateing you by accident, or the conflict of our powers annihilating Gensokyo."

>Look to Elly. "You ready? Looks like we'll get that fight after all."

> "What do you say we get you bloodied a little Malus." she says, as the aura of intimidation you felt before flares up again.

> Elly moves her scythe back, as if preparing to swing, before she dashes towards you at a very high speed. Not Crow Tengu-speed, but still unexpectedly fast.
