>Throw Malus at one of the glowing black stones, then call it back and throw it at one of the non-glowing ones. Be on guard for any attacks, from them or from Shiki.

> You throw Malus at the glowing black stone nearest you, but it just bounces off. The same applies to the non-glowing one.#

> "I'll try something." the tree youkai says, stepping forwards, closer to the stones than you.

> Suddenly, the stones change. The closest, 3rd closest, and 2nd furthest white stones start glowing instead of the previous ones. Meanwhile, the center dark stone starts glowing, as well as the final dark stone. The center stone stops glowing icy blue.

> "Say Elly! I know what language that is, it's Latin!" Yuuka says as she flies past, fighting Eiki.

> Fat load of good that does you. You don't know Latin, you only know Japanese.

>If she can't, ask the tree youkai. May not be likely, but it can't hurt to ask.

> "Little busy here!" Yuuka says, as the Yama throws her away to the next hillside, only for Yuuka to hook her arm with her parasoul's handle and take her along for the flight.

> "... I can't read Latin... but I have an idea of what this could be. I mean, this is the Yama's Judgement Throne... so she judges people. The stone have Latin inscriptions. There are seven of each shade of stone, and another one which appeared and started glowing for you. I think... these stones... each one represents a Vice and Virtue. Although I'm not sure about the center stone, nor do I know what stone means what."

> "Chastity against Lust. Temperance against Gluttony. Charity against Greed. Diligence against Sloth. Patience against Wrath. Kindness against Envy. Humility against Pride." the tree youkai says.

>Examine the stand itself.

> "Would make sense. Betrayal is considered it's own Sin in some cases... and if it's only reacting to you, and your charge is betraying the Life Debt..."

> You examine the stand. It has a pink pillow on it for Eiki to sit on. With the picture of a rabbit on it. There is nothing besides it looking imposing to note.

> At this point, Yuuka flies past. For the brief moment that she is closer to the Stand than you are, every single white stone stops glowing, and ALL of the black stones glow vividly.

> "I'll ask again... what kind of monster is she?" the tree youkai says, sweatdropping.

> "Or maybe she's both? A flower nightmare demon youkai?"

> "I'll have to ask you two to hide again. Further back. However, I also have to ask you to keep your eyes open for anything strange." Yuuka says, as green energy collects at the tip of her parasoul. "After all, if she gets hit by this, and she comes out fine, something would have happened to protect her.

(Sorry to be resident baka here, but I haven't the faintest clue what this "X Character Quest" thing is. Someone care to explain?)

As elaboration:

'X Quest' takes a character, usually, seeing the nature of the forum, from the Touhou Universe [Although not always], and the players, which are open-ended, role play that character in whatever situation the GM cooks up... or they get themselves into. They can play the character however they want, and do whatever they want, to an extent.
