Finished a IL speedrunning archive for StB, my total time:

39 minutes and 31.92 seconds

I'm not sure how greatly this can be improved, but I'd guess sub 39 is totally doable, and more if stuff like deep mist labyrinth can be 2 cycled. I didn't look up replays before doing this so I can't really say at this point.

Awesome! If you have replays can you send them over so I can setup the StB table before other ILs start rolling in-it's much easier editing a table than adding new entries.

Here it is, I checked everything before compressing but strangely 5-4 seems to have gone missing at some point, might have been left over at my laptop. So, everything except 5-4 are here. It's probably made redundant by the time I can find it anyway...

A failed run may not be an accomplishment for others but for me it serves the purpose of evaluating how close I am towards a goal.

Attempting PCB LNB for the first time in a couple weeks.
Died to Chen
Died twice to stage 3
Died 4 times to stage 4 (all of them silly)
Managed to NMNB stage 5.
Entered stage 6 with 2 lives. Made it to 80% reflowering.
This seems pretty doable at my skill level. I'll get the clear if I don't suck as much. (I can now NMNB 1-5, if I do it correctly)
Before that, I need to use more stage practice.

And also... got pretty close to a MoF Normal 1cc with MarisaA. I'm talking halfway through "Mountain of Faith" close.
...and I cleared 7-1 in StB.

After so long, it's finally done, I have finally 1cc'd UFO on lunatic.

This game is easily the hardest windows touhou by far. The run here was really lucky, Entered stage 4 3/1, then entered stage 5 4/2 and stayed like that until Shou, which I just spammed all of my bombs at. Entered stage 6 as 2/2 then died at the opener (derp) bombed once during the stage and got 3 red UFOs and 1 green one. Captured midboss Nue. Entered Byakuren 3/2. Bombed the first spell and second nonspell. somehow managed to survive until devil's recitation. I died and bombed once to that spell. Captured Superhuman and entered LFS 2/1, which I cleared only dying once.

I guess I only have to 1cc TD and some PC-98 games now, oh, and GFW and the fighters too.

I wish it only took me that long. The amount of time I spent to 1cc UFO Lunatic, I don't even view it as having been worth it for me. So much time I spent to 1cc a game that I really should have quit playing a lot earlier. It wasn't even really about getting the skill needed for me since I didn't think it was that much harder than Hard. But the game just kept screwing me every time pretty much. I pretty much had a plan set up for it, but it just never worked out till that one run. I pretty much only 1cc'd it to try to prove a point, but I should have just left it alone. As I've said elsewhere, I'll never try to 1cc a game I absolutely hate ever again, it's just not worth it.

But 16 hours isn't much time at all, and if it had taken me that long, I probably would have viewed it as not a waste of my time. I still would have hated the game though.

Enough ranting though, Congrats on beating the hardest game in the series that's not a Phantasmagoria game. Surely the experience with UFOwill maybe help with other games if you plan to do harder stuff in them.

I think I'm gonna switch my goals from doing lunatics for the moment. I decided on a whim to do EoSD normal with no focus tonight about 2 hours ago. On my first run I was playing and realized around Patchy that I had only used one bomb (item collection to begin stg 2). At that point I decided I could totally do it with no bombs as well. As few tries later I was able to perfect all the way until Patchy and I think it was 1D on that run. A few attempt made it to Scarlet shoot with 0 lives in stock and I managed to fail it both times. My last run was completely perfect through Sakuya midboss on Stg 5. I think that was the first time I had ever reach full life stock in EoSD ever. That lasted about 5 seconds as I rammed a bullet in the spam. Boss Sakuya was awful considering I had gotten 1D on it once before. Finally captured eternal meek on that run and got through to Red Magic with 2 lives in stock which I promptly wasted but managed to clear any way. Woot!

TLDR: Im going to do no focus normals instead of trying to finish lunatics for the time being. Cleared EoSD normal no focus no bomb. replay

Not much of an accomplishment due to how easy it is, but I 1cc EoSD lunatic with all shot-types. This is probably the only Touhou game where I actually like all the shot-types.

I didn't get squeezed by lasers this time around, but I actually get out of those situations way more often than I should. Other close attempts had some fucking amazing dodging & squeezes, too, but the dodging here is pretty ok as well! It's bound to be - amulets are sublime.

IN and UFO normal no focus no bomb clears. Tried PCB and TD as well. Both failed during final boss and shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 more tries each. MoF and SA probably will be a bit tougher but that's just my own speculation.

Seriously, this game is easy. I haven't even managed to no-bomb 1cc any of the other games on Hard, and here I manage to perfect 5/6 stages in the first run today that makes it past stage 2.

Well, at least non-Extra is easy. I think TD Nue's second Extra card, which I still fail like half the time, is more difficult than every pattern in the entire TD Hard (with the possible exception of those fairies at the end of stage 5).

Nue's second card is pretty neat, yeah. It's kind of like Avoidance of Defiance in that you need some tight dodging and hitbox manip and that doing it without focus is bordering on fanatic.

Which is why I tried timing it out without focusing just now and got to T-6 seconds. I haven't screamed that loud in ages.
