I don't know what happened, but somehow everything in SA has just "clicked" for me. I suddenly get stage 1, Yamame's opener is rarely an issue anymore, stage 2 was never really an issue, I finally get how to do post-midboss stage 3, I finally get Yuugi's opener, Ooe suddenly feels a lot easier, I can actually get through stage 4 and get to Satori with 3+ power left, I can FINALLY do Terrifying Hypnotism, midboss Orin's non-spells are no longer a mystery to me... And the list goes on. And this all suddenly clicked within the last hour or so. I still dislike SA's life/bomb system, but hell, I feel as though I understand the patterns well enough that I can get through despite that.

Playing through as a non-ReimuA shottype is really eye opening.

Oh also as a minor accomplishment, I was kind of frustrated with SA yesterday, so I tried SA stage 6 Hard. I perfected it out of the blue. So weird considering just how hard I thought Utsuho was. Also, was everything in Hard really that slow? It's hard to believe that I ever found that stuff difficult anymore :V

I wanted to do something else after failing yet another SA Lunatic 1lc attempt early. Stage 5 it was, something I haven't done in a while. Managed a 1DNB run. Granted this was without my usual restrictions, but still. Considering how little I've been playing Touhou the past couple months, pulling off the dodges I did in this replay is certainly encouraging.

Accidentally stumbled across a safespot to all waves of the static laser fairies in SA Stage 4. Kind of surprised I didn't find one already, considering they're clearly static and the second batch of them always seems to get me somehow. <_<

I also timed out Kanako's first non-spell in that Extra on my first try a couple days ago but assumed then that it was just easy, I've been failing to do so since (on my few attempts) so now I'm calling that a success too >_> Gotta take what I can get.

That's not an issue at all for the first wave, since I can kill the amulet fairies before they fire, but I'm still not sure how to deal with that in the second wave. Not only can I not kill them all quickly because aimed circles, but I've only managed to clear the green amulet crap about three times total, so I can't really practice. <_<

Anywho, perfect Stage 5 Nazrin at 75fps. Fuck yes. Too bad I fell to the spam part.

Fun fact: I have an easier time with Total Purification at 75fps compared to normal speed. Maybe it's because I die of old age before the bullets start moving normally.

Not in the speechless manner, but in the one where I'm not sure what should I think of the run. It has several idiotic (and costly) mistakes and I'm being a pussy all over the place and skipping the harder stuff. Maybe I'll write a bit longer scoreboard entry-message this time in order to reflect on this a bit. Don't read, it's horrible.

Well, at least I'm somewhat happy about the score. It's pretty cool and now I think I can keep going on without worrying much. 1,5b on ReimuA would be nice, since I really like that one. But maybe I'll do some other stuff, other games or other shots.

Still running away from UFO, still too inconsistent. Still too shit, still too scared. One day, maybe, I'll be better. Or less scared.

Turns out that SA is a much more easy when you know how to use the bomb system, and yet despite knowing that I ended going to Stage 5 with 0 power anyway making Orin a nightmare, good thing I didn't lose many lives at the rest of the game.

My previous 1cc of this game was with Aya, but I heard she was way easier to use against the AI, so I cleared it with Reimu this time.
Finished with 1 extra life, no deaths at Komachi.
Not much of an accomplishment, but it was challenging enough, so I'll take it (plus I fail everything else, these days...).

It took me 1938 photos (not kidding), but I finally cleared Seamless Ceiling of Kinkaku-Ji (Scene 9-6) in StB.

...I still can't believe that the last photo I took was a successful one, because I seriously expected it to be a failed shot.

Finally got a perfect Kyouko, figured out Tongling Yoshika, pulled a 2DNB Futo, got a consistent 2 bomb Stage 4 stage part...TD lunatic is coming together because I'm trying to perfect the bosses.

and I captured Tao Taidou again in 9 tries.

Reached Suwa War with 4 lives left... and then lost two in it >_> The first one shouldn't have happened since I just didn't move enough despite there being a huge space to go. 1 death, 2 bombs for her final.
My only other death was on the very first non-spell, haha. Bombed a ton through the stage though, for some reason.
Oh, and my cap rate for "Seven Stones and Seven Trees" is now 0/7. That laser hits me every single time the spell starts, I always forget. Death-bombed though

The capture records tell me I had 40 attempts at Kanako's first spell, 29 at Suwako's first, 3 at Suwa War and 2 at the final.


Quite like most of her Extra and happy to have cleared it. Now, on to SA Extra.
