I don't know if this is the case with your situation, but if you restart in FW without going back to the menu, the game bugs and records any replay (or clear I think) with the wrong route (unless you have restarted a number of times equal to a multiple of 6) due to it increasing the route value (i.e A1 --> A2 --> B1, etc.) If I'm wrong well then I guess I'm just stupid but it happened to me once or twice already so there's a route I still have to redo (but like 4 more to get after that)

Well, there are still those peopel like myself who've never even REACHED the halfway point in the fight, much less beaten it PERFECTLY, so there's that.  =)  Either way, no matter how long it took, an NDNB Extra Stage is nuts, so feel happy about it!

Congrats with those Extra stage NMNBs. I know how satisfying they can be although i can't say any of those i've done have required more than a few attempts to accomplish. Wow. How braggy. I'm sorry  :V. Those runs happened by random coincidence anyway. Suwako can be a bitch to perfect so honest congrats to those who've put forth enough dedication to get that done.

Also you Sakurei with that Flandre, congratulations. QED is a monster of a spell and i can only imagine how annoying it would be to lose a run to QED's final three seconds. Nice going.


As for myself, a NMNB Aya fight with ReimuA, a 1-miss timeout of VoWG and two double K.O's on DBDB. Most of my time have been spent on Mushi Futari God today but at least I'm happy that I got some reasonable results out of my Touhou playing today. Also, Nitori's camouflage card doesn't get any easier with ReimuA. I mean, damn.

150 or so here.  Ran then took 20 or so after and that's all I have for extra perfects, though I could probably get the rest without too much more effort.  Not sure who I want to go for next...maybe Mamizou?

I did a 1DNB (3rd nonspell derp death) up to Grudge Bow a while back.  Unfortunately I suck at the survival and Grudge Bow.

So do I, but I got lucky once. If you think you can do it save one or two attacks, it's worth trying a few times to see if you're better now, or if you're just out of practice.

If not Nue, no idea, I'd just try them all and see if one grips you.

Flandre: 3DNB (Kagome, survival, QED)
Yukari: almost no practice, 7 hits best (4D3BB)
Mokou: ND2B (7th and 8th nonspells)
Koishi: 4DNB (Rorschach, Rose x3)
Nue: ?DNB (Grudge Bow, 3rd nonspell)
Mamizou: 3DNB (survival first phase, second phase, random other thing)

I've got them all down to a couple patterns, one of which I've unfortunately either never captured or are bad at in every case.

Out of those, I'd retry Koishi or Mokou. Rorschach isn't that hard (imo, at least) and someone of your skills can surely capture Subterranean Rose, and even though Mokou's later nonspells are crap you only need to get lucky once. <_<

Rorschach is awful, never captured, I've captured Subterranean Rose once or twice before (mostly nerves there lol)  I don't want to have to grind out the beginning of a boss a bunch of times to get unlucky near the end invalidating the attempt (I know Sakuya does this, but that's shorter).

Marisa...no.  Well, maybe, since I gold medaled Fairy Destruction Ray in 1 try.  Not sure about being able to get the survival, Big Crunch OR Open Universe though, let alone all in the same run as her nonspells.

My history for Kogasa's Extra midboss spells is even higher (318/540 for her first card), and Patchouli's would probably be similarly high if EoSD actually saved the history after restarting.

I am too. Though I didn't feel like suiciding for score in my Flandre/Nue runs (not sure if I will for Gengetsu), I'm fine with bombing for score on the stage portions. Not sure if I'd trance the stage portions if I go for Mamizou though, considering scoring there also involves trancing some of her nonspells and her survival.

If you NMNB FW Extra you will get a cookie from me, that's pretty freaking hard to do with some of those attacks. If you NMNB&No Ice (at 60 fps or higher without cheating) I will give you all the money in my bank account.

Also, on a FW note, cleared B-1 and B-2 Normal just now. Golded Fairy Overdrive (Normal) on B-1 and a couple of Star Sapphire's spells on B-2 Stg 3.

EDIT: C-1 and C-2 this morning, Extra stage unlocked! 3 options: Do FW Hard, do FW Extra, or stop being lazy and do MoF Lunatic

I don't tend to restart the stage unless my faith is horribly low. Since I don't really care about scoring in a survival based run.

Well, I tried playing UFO Extra. My first try, I did a 1MNBNUFO with SanaeB, died to Rainbow UFO.
Captured Survival + Grudge Bow for the first time.
I feel like if I tried to perfect this it will take a lot more tries.
Kogasa's first = 55/71
Grudge Bow = 1/3
Also second time clearing this Extra!

Yea 80 tries for an Extra is a lot, Seppo, I should just kill myself.

Well, I see that you are interested in scoring so you might have restarted the stage portion.

I certainly was restarting the stage portion because of score (my faith target at first was 600,000 by Suwako, then 610,000, 615,000, 618,000, and up to 622,000 by the time I succeeded in the run), but I also had more attempts fail on Suwako, which weren't due to score optimization, because I wouldn't restart after reaching Suwako unless I died or something.
(History for Party Start: 13/28 as of my first clear, 85/109 now)
Though I did spend a while going for a no-death run earlier back when I'd never captured several of her cards, and it took me quite a while to capture Suwa War for the first time, both of which contributed to my attempt count.

Anyway, I just randomly played Koishi, and on the first try, somehow managed to perfect her all the way up to 2/3 of the way through Genetics (including my first capture of Rorshach). I still need to learn how to handle Philosophy of a Hated Person though.

Wow, that sucks. It was bad enough when my first true Suwako perfect attempt ended at Native Myth, but it'd be a lot worse if it was an extra I wasn't already good at. A perfect is definitely in your abilities I think, but it might take a while for sure. <_<

80 tries is by no means bad for an extra run. I recall it took me at least 50 tries to perfect Ran (my first), and I'm sure it takes longer for others. Honestly, stuff like that shouldn't be in your mind.
