EoSD Extra clear.
First time seeing QED, so I kinda bombspammed the end.
Also a first capture of Maze of Love (with outrageous luck at micrododging).
I'm quite surprised this stage came down so quickly, but I won't complain.

Thanks to JC for the tips (and Sapz for the perfect clear video on Youtube), it helped a lot.

Only PCB extra left of all the ones I have unlocked (oh God why...  :fail: ).

Relax, PCB Extra was my first. It's not that bad, the stage is mostly memory and most of the boss' spellcards are PCB Normal level.

Played a fun run of TD Stage 6, 2DNBed the stage, with deaths at 2nd nonspell and NDS, two things I usually capture. Why did I go for Eirin and Kanako before this one? <_<

Sinkable Vortex capture as well. Surprisingly easy if you make an effort to stay under her all the time.

Just managed a Normal 1cc of Marine Benefit on a completely blind run (except for stage 1)! 

I recorded everything which includes my reactions and commentary in a blind let's play, so I'll be uploading that shortly (depending on how long Youtube takes to upload ect!)!

I had alot of silly moments but I'm very satisfied that I managed to clear it at least!  With the talk I'm reading it seems like it gets quite a bit harder on Hard and Lunatic, so I'd like to see what that's like when I get to it!  :3


Also, I'll probably make a thread here for my Let's Play series which I started a bit ago, if this is the right place to put it I guess  :wat:  So please check it out when it's made! (shameless advertising)  :derp:

That makes three Lunatic stage 3 perfects (after Touhou 5 and 6, the latter unrecorded), and five (also Keine and Ichirin) that I've perfected the boss portion of.

I GUESS as a timeout, though, because I keep timing out the first and third cards. Her last card is ridiculous memoshit and I refuse to learn that, though.

EoSD Lunatic 3CC.

Wouldn't be an accomplishment if not for holy crap the fight against Remilia. Entered with a stock of 1/4, didn't get any extends during the fight, and didn't need any further continues. I think I lost more resources to MEILING than I did to Remilia. Including a Young Demon Lord capture and a 0D1B Scarlet Gensokyo.

Easy for a Stage 5... actually, I even think the TD Stage 4 boss fight is harder than this stage. I only tranced in the stage portion because I think there's something wrong with my key config and focusing automatically makes me trance when the meter is full. It shouldn't do that, right? Trance and focus are definitely NOT assigned to the same key in the options...

Someone requested it, it seemed like "okay, that seems reasonable"...didn't quite turn out that way.

Perfecting full stages in MB is nightmarish. Even with it being just stage 3...ugh. Way too many attempts.

1DNB Nue outside of Grudge Bow.  Death was to the 3rd nonspell.  I think I can perfect this extra stage too.
I game overed to Grudge Bow though, due to a 2D Guerrilla Typhoon and a 2B Surprising Slash.  Perfected both stage parts though.

Hey there people, long time no see!
I just captured Scarlet Meister(lunatic) for the first-and only- time. Shame it was a run in which I had previously continued.
I also discovered a bug,kind of, while trying to timeout Scarlet Gensokyo,during the same run. If the spell ends by timeout
while a bomb is going off, Remilia sits around in bat form for around 1-2 minutes doing nothing.
But I believe someone already knew about it, since it's too easy to (re)produce.

She's in bat form because of your bomb, yes. It's the sort of immunity most final spells have. I'm pretty sure it's nothing special. You're talking about something else completely. Nevermind.

Back from my vacation, hurray! Spent my time doing something productive, NDNB runs of all first stages as well as EoSD Stage 2. I suppose that's a start. Also cleared Easy on all shottypes in all games minus IN and PoFV, those will take a little longer on each difficulty I guess.

Ayaya, good luck if you continue after her. Sakuya is brutal and unforgiving. Do you know the best way to handle Killing Doll, at least?

The strange thing is, I had never even dodged more than one wave of that spell. I think that not playing Touhou/any shmup for 7-8  days
does help sometimes.

Sort of. There are two sets of knives fired during Killing Doll's set-up; blue and red. The blue are spread all around, while the red are aimed specifically at you. Every other wave it seems, the red knives don't change their trajectory at all when Sakuya mixes the knives around, so standing where they are being aimed is a guaranteed deathtrap. So basically, don't stay in one place, but bounce between two or three spots on the screen.

By virtue of a brand new high-end laptop, some DirectX fiddling and a makeshift key remapper, I had removed an hour ago all lag spikes and stuck keys from my Touhou experience.

Well, turns out I'm better at Touhou than my past results indicate. For when I fired up UFO for the very first time on the laptop and made the twenthy-third attempt at a 1cc, I actually reached stage 6. For comparison: in the past I could just hope to make it to Shou's first spell in case of extreme luck.

Not having seriously played EoSD for a few months, all I remembered about her is that she has really low spellcard health, so I always assumed she was pretty easy.

Then I remembered what her spellcards were. <_<

Keep at it, you're bound to do everything right at once sometime. I hope you're recording, I like watching perfect EoSD stuff but it's so rare for obvious reasons. :/

The problem with Sakuya is that you're facing a Max Rank Killing Doll when everything is done right.

Actually with good movement RNG you can face it below max rank with MarisaA.  But you need 1.5 cycle nonspells, 1.3 cycle Jack the Ludo Bile, and a 1 cycle The World.
