I almost 1cc'd EoSD. Died to the aimed bubble bullet barrage in the non card before Scarlet Meister.
Then I went back, watched the replay, and found out that all my deaths when I had bombs left were to bubble bullets.

I still hate those things.

Oh... my... god....

Reached Devil's Recitation with 3 lives no bombs, died once to devil's recitation, it had about 1/2 life left... and I decided against better judgement to not bomb...

I died again and ultimately reached LFS with no extra lives 1 bomb...

In the end I reached the red phase of LFS before gaming over...

I almost 1cc'd UFO Lunatic... I'm going to cry now...

I just needed one bomb to clear this (or try not to have Ran going berserk ; I guess it's because of the timer...).

On the bright side, first time seeing the last four spells, in one single run. I can do it.

I know that feeling. I am also vehemently trying to 1cc UFO (on Normal). Just died while Devil's Recitation was disappearing. It must get unbearable on Lunatic.

Still, if it's solely to bombing, that only shows that you can do it. Sweep up the debris and go at it again. Perseverance shall prevail!

Something I learned when I was going for my first 1ccs of UFO Hard/Lunatic: if you die on a phase that you normally bomb, expect to bomb right after that. I've lost count of the number of times I attempted to finish off the remaining health after a death and died a second time.

Continuing to alternate your height with the spawning of each bullet wave (even while bombing) minimizes that successive-bombing problem. Or so it did for me.

I failed at Resurrection Butterfly with 4 seconds left. I got right in the path of the blue and purple butterflies... I'm so stupid! What's worse is that I had 1 bomb in stock. I was so close to 1cc'ing PCB Normal. WHY?

Semi-blind run of Marine Benefit Lunatic. Which means:

- Having seen it played by Jaimers
- Having tried and failed a Hard credit of an earlier version
- Having done a test run of the first two stages but restarted due to deaths.

So I got to Stage 5 with 7 lives or such. That stage reduced my lifestock to 2. Lost the rest on Stage 6.

Thoughts: Fun game until you hit Stage 5. Then you face off against a boss with one of the stupidest gimmicks I've ever seen. Now this isn't stupid because I died a lot to it or anything because I die a lot to many things. This is stupid because there isn't any dodging involved with most of these patterns. It's just memorization combined with the moronic idea that having you get killed by seemingly nothing would somehow be fun.

Well. Let me tell you. It's not. Dodging random bullets is fun. Having to plan out a route and follow it as a robot is not.

Then comes Stage 6, where I run into this annoying Stage 6 midboss which is basically the Stage 4 boss returning from a course about being retarded with like 50 seconds of survival nonsense that's stupid just because I say so. My time with the spell is very limited since I kinda game overed on it and didn't feel like continuing so I feel that this is a good place to stop this rant.

EDIT: I managed to perfectly pacify MB Stage 3 Lunatic up to a certain static piece of shit spell that comes up there. Was my first try so I didn't expect anything especially because I knew that spell would be there.

I'm pretty sure on lunatic Megumi's stuff require actual dodging skills - even if they are really rage worthy.

Which character were you playing with? Reimu's has been solved and is actually rather easy to capture.

It's easy...IF you know the trick to it. Very big if. Because if you don't, losing tons of lives to it while thinking it's a survival is completely understandable.

If it helps any, here's how you do it. You have to stay next to the middle stream for Kasumi to show up, and there have to actually be bullets there for it to happen, which means basically that she has bomb immunity.

As for Megumi...yeah, Eight Million Laughing Gods is memoshit, and you have to know where to be for Dance of the Stars (hint: push the bubble near the bottom), but other than that it's pretty much pure dodging.

The real bullshit card, and the one I came here to rage about, is this one:

It STOPS. OUT OF NOWHERE. YOUR SAFE ZONES COME TO A DEAD FUCKING HALT. It is by far, the WORST spellcard that I have EVER played. At least in other games that have borderline unfair shit, you don't go from being forced to move unfocused WITH AN ARGUABLY SLIGHT DELAY MIND YOU to the area THAT LETS YOU NOT DIE COMING TO A COMPLETE FUCKING HALT WITH NO GOD DAMN INDICATION, which is by far the worst of dick moves I've seen any video game do to me next to a Pokemon game freezing right after I caught a shiny Pikachu when I saved only to corrupt the entire fucking save. I can think of nothing besides that that was worse than this.

And the worst part? You get to relive it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and since there's no spellcard practice system you have to go through the same stage over and over again just to practice ONE FUCKING CARD. This is the only card that I've played of hers that I HATE. Every other card in her fight is at least fair. At least you can play and enjoy them. If you're like me, you don't even fucking BOTHER with practicing the stage because FUCK IT you're not going to memorize something like THAT. It takes a GENIUS to memorize that. Maybe Otohime's penultimate card is worse but at least you're able to build a fuckton of lives and you get what I call one of the most fun Extra fights I've ever played to make up for it. Megumi isn't even that good all-around.

You either need REALLY DAMN GOOD REACTION TIME for this, or the ability to play Touhou backwards, relying on muscle memory. Speaking of which, I'm going to try to play EoSD Easy backwards and see how far I get :V

Another idea: Play any game on Normal or higher while barely allowing myself to see. Sound good?

Is there a program out there that just makes random shit move all over the screen and disable you from seeing shit at random? I'm talking about a scenario like Distraction News, where you're trying to pay attention to one thing while a bunch of other shit is going on in the background, making it really fucking hard to concentrate.

I'm assuming Esu meant without looking at the screen. It's really hard due to randomness and almost 0 chance of a reactive deathbomb, even with Border Team. You have to rely on music cues and sound effects to do pretty much anything.
