FYI, that is the total number of shots so far more or less. The original shot count was like 36 due to me copying a savefile to get here faster. My best run thus far has gotten the fifth photo successfully. A grand total of about five times. Of that many attempts. Yeeeah.

I don't really give up. I'll still work at it, but I think this illustrates how bloody excruciating this is.

I quite badly need to stop interpreting passing joke statements as genuine challenges. Then again, I really want to do this now, it has become somewhat personal.

DS/StB: When I take photos I always take a dive towards the boss, can't count how many time I've crashed and burn that way with my photo frame still hovering on the screen.
All games: Keep thinking I have bombs left, then during hard times I stop dodging and press X, only to see nothing happening and my char dying almost immediately.
IN: While dodging Earth In A Pot I found myself on top of the ring of shikigami just before they started firing. Instant death.
TD: At the Spell Cards Tongling Yoshika and Dao Fetal Movement, I briefly I was dodging CURVED lasers, and so waltzed right into it's incoming path. Shameful death.
PCB: Huh why is Youmu still at the botOH GOD SHE SLASHED ME
SA: I kept shooting the fake Parsee A LOT until a friend told me that the fake spams bullets when I shoot her. Gah.

She's not as persistent (only showing up as the stage endboss), but her attacks rely very little on memorization and a lot on quick reading and dodging.


Why can't I seem to get a solid run of IN ultra extra?  I should be able to do it, in theory, with a life or 2 to spare.  So why in actual attempts do I just get utterly destroyed?

So I was bored and realized I have never played stages 4-6 of UFO on lunatic (because I suck :V) so I downloaded a score.dat, and went to stage practice.

Every one of those stages destroyed me completely, lost all my last life at murasa's survival, shou's 2nd spell and byakuren's 3rd spell.

I'm not ready for this game  :V

Yep, that's IN. Same thing happens to me (not in Ultra). I go to Spell Practice and can do certain spellcards CONSISTENTLY, and then I always seem to fail the same cards in actual runs.

Every time I do everything as planned until Yoshika in which I suddenly decide to stop playing and not bomb and lose all my lives. I literally do not care.

This kind of thing does not happen in any other game.

e: No, I know the reason. Yoshika is generally where you have to start -playing- in TD. But the danmaku is so unfun I have no interest in focusing on dodging. Balls.

In the past 24 hours, I've probably died to Yamato Torus about 20 times, and VoWG about five. It never used to wall me when I always played through the stage if I failed, but now that I reset it walls me all the time. Considering i used to be 4/4, practice is not the issue here. <_<

I manage to reach stage six of PCB normal at 90fps with six lives so I was feeling pretty sure of myself.

I lost two lives to Yuyuko's opener, another life was lost to her first spell and I managed to lose TWO MORE to the non-spell after.  I got the game over on her third spell card.  To make things even better all of those lives  except the last were lost with bombs in stock.

Can someone let me borrow their brain?  I think mine is broke.

Speaking of Sakuya, I always die because I misread the knives hitbox or get clipped.
I also just got back from an attempted Lunatic 1cc and died to Sakuya on her last spellcard. The worst part is thather lifebar was one pixel thick.
