> You decide it's not beat up enough to punch it into a pokeball.

>Just pin it on the ground and stomp on it until it faints. :D

> You pin it to the ground and stomp on it twice before it uses its free wings to let out a mighty blast, blowing you back into the wall of the cave. You've seen something like this before, that Flint guy called the attack whirlwind. It could be some more focused variant of that attack.

> The other bats are fleeing the cavern, as the crobat churns the wind throughout the tunnel.

> At this distance, with this wind, a projectile would probably get blown back.

>Is marching up on the thing possible?

> You could definitely get closer, even with the high winds it's generating.

>Think we can throw a pokeball at it?
(I really want a supersonic-causer on our team.)

> It might be weak enough to catch? Eh, probably safer to make it faint first; either way, you know you wouldn't be able to throw a pokeball accurately with this indoor windstorm going on.

> On that note, you glance at your companions and note Kogasa and Mystia are having a little trouble with their skirts. You're reminded a bit of a certain Marylin Monroe photo, and are glad you wear pants.

>Mokou used Crush Grip (with fire)

> You feel unusually sharp pain coming from the bite it's inflicting on you, somewhat greater than it should be. Regardless, you grab the bat and attempt to crush it between your flaming hands.  As you attempt to burn the creature, you and the bat get knocked down by a burst of water.

> "Sorry!" Kogasa says.

>After that barrage of POWER nothing's gonna be strong enough to resist capture. FLAMING POKEBALL TIME.

> You use FLAMING POKEBALL.

> The pokeball fails to open at all. Actually, it looks kind of like it's melting. You suspect fire is not good for pokeballs. You have 9 of them left.

> The pain from the bite on your arm is spreading. You begin to feel numb. The crobat lets out on awful wail, filling the cavern.

seconding this. also:
>your arm must be on fire as you do this. It is mandatory.

> Obviously. Everything is better with fire.

> Except pokeballs.

> As you put the bat into a headlock with your good arm, you wonder if you are a pyromaniac. You inciner-crush it through it's wails until it stops moving. Your ears kind of hurt after that.

>Ball it

>Just make sure not to burn the ball this time.

> Considering how well it worked last time, you decide against setting the pokeball on fire. You throw a ball at the bat, and it quick clicks shut.

> Crobat was caught! Would you like to give a nickname to your newly caught crobat?

> You have 8 pokeballs left. You notice the feeling in you right arm is completely gone, and your arm is purple, and very swollen where you were bitten. You are also beginning to feel nauseous. Fortunately, none of the bats are attacking your group, although they are eyeing you as wearily as an eyeless creature can (the sea of mouths on the roof facing you is slightly unsettling). You suspect that you have their respect, or something. Or it could be that they finally figured out they shouldn't cross you after you beat the crap out of their leader.

> You're a little skeptical that they're that smart, because if they had any intelligence they would have stopped after Mystia's handed out her third serving of the kabobs. Well, whatever the reason, they are no longer messing with you.

> Yep, you haven't had this much trouble since yesterday. Well, actually, it's more like two days ago now.

> God that was awful. But at least you got a bat out of it. Kogasa returns her penguin to it's ball.

> Your whole body is going numb too. You are pretty sure you were badly poisoned when "Pain" bit you, as the pain is spreading alongside the numbness; it's a very odd feeling. This is on top of being beat up, exhausted from dealing with these bat things non-stop for nearly 2 hours, and wet, thanks to Kogasa.

> You aren't sure that there is any acting involved.

>On second thought, how about no. We don't want to scare off the companions.

> You decide to keep your remaining thoughts to yourself, until you feel better.

>Leave

> You manage to drag yourself out of the cave with the rest of your party. As you exit the other end, you find yourself in a city. The sun is rising, and there are still stormclouds swirling around Mt. Coronet. You must be in Oreburgh.

>Find a nice quiet spot to die/revive.

> You force yourself to the pokemon center. The nurse gasps when she see you, but you manage to satisfy her enough to get a room in the center without landing yourself in a hospital. Naturally, she heals your pokemon, taking your luxray and your crobat.

> You plop yourself into a center bed, barely able to move anymore, and die/fall asleep/you really don't know at this point.

>Go find the nurse.

> You get up, done your coat, and find the nurse.

>Laugh at her reaction to seeing us suddenly being perfectly fine.

> "Are you really the same girl from this morning?" The nurse asks. "Because if you are, well, how? I mean you look great! Seriously, this morning I was on the line with the undertaker, and now, your so... healthy!"

>If we gave her our Pokemon, get them back. If not, give them to her.

> "Your Crobat and your Luxray are fully healed. I deposited them in the PC," the nurse says. Your other pokemon were healed and returned this morning, before you got your room.

>Are Mystia, Wriggle, and Kogasa still with us?

> ...No. No they are not. You turn around and glance out the glass doors of the pokemon center and see a lone purple umbrella in the middle of thye street, so you know where Kogasa is, but you aren't clear on what Mystia and Wriggle are doing.

> "Two of your companions are still sleeping," The nurse says. "They're sharing a room down the hall and to your right.

>Also Mystia do you lay eggs or what?

> You find Mystia and ask her privately.

> "W-What kind of question is that?" she says, turning scarlet.

>Extent of regenerative powers

> What happened earlier today is truely a rare event for you - you found a poison that gets significantly worse for you with time, as opposed to being healed automatically. You have little doubt you died in your sleep. You aren't sure you have a solution to that kind of thing outside of either dying or drinking an antidote.

> It might have been easier to blow your entire arm off to keep the poison from spreading.

> Missing appendages are fairly easy, as you can focus your magic on the wounds. Automatically, if you were put into a wood chipper you think you'd be fine in a day or two. With focus, you can bring back an arm from missing to fully returned in... 15 minutes? With a lot of stiffness in the limb and it feeling like you stuck it in a woodchipper for the next hour.

>Estimate distance from mysterious fog

> Well, perspective isn't the easiest thing at this distance - it's hard to tell a mile high mountain 10 miles away from a 2 mile high mountain 20 miles away. A glance at your map indicates it's the latter - about 20 miles away from your current location.

>"Hey guys, who's ready to beat up some gym leader pokemon?"

> "I am!" Kogasa says, pouncing from... behind the nurse's desk? onto your back. You fall forward and the umbrella youkai lands on top of you.

> "Hm...? Looks like I finally got you," she whispers into your ear.
