All the latest Touhoumon stuff is here, check it out. Be sure to check and see if new threads are up as well as they tend to reach autosage limit fairly quickly

For those who've been living under a rock for the past year or two; Touhoumon is a hack of the game Pokemon which places all our pedo-loli girls into the game as monsters we can raise, train and have them battle ~~to the death~~ for our pleasure and satisfaction.

There's a new patch (or something) under development now called Touhoumon Gensokyo. Be sure to check out Youtube (or Google if you want), and see what's happening, the unfinished patch is up for download somewhere so if anyone finds it let me know and I'll stick it up here. This also goes for anything else, you feel that I've forgotten or left out intentionally due to laziness.

So yeah go nuts.

So far, it starts on the Hakurei Shrine, then you go to the Human Village, and then you take a trip to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, the Poltergeist Mansion, Kourindou, the Magic Forest and it ends on the Mound of the Nameless.

I've seen pieces where it also includes going to Johto, but that's not in the version I have.

I've got the Johto patch. It's really weird. The names of the cities don't even pop up. :/

And the Gensokyo patch has an evil little bug. When you try to talk to Koakuma in the library, it freezes the game.

That's a way to announce that you should do this on a later version. The same happens with Akyu after you talk to her for the first time.

I recall that Touhoumon Gensokyo was an unofficial patch.

I actually made a Zip containing the 1.53 rom, a cheat file (mainly for being able to buy rare items and such), a read me on them, the Touhoudex excel file (the one on the Touhou Wikia is prone to being changed by english version players unware it applies to the original/japanese version.), and a list of which Touhoumon are in a given area.

One of these days I'll resume my Touhoumon video playthrough.

Let's say I'm a dumb muck. This isn't hard, because it's pretty true.

Let's say I wanna play the game in Englitch, because I like knowing what's going on.

Let's say I also want cool patches, but have no idea what is compatible with what.

Where would a dumb muck like me start out in learning what patches don't mix, and which ones do? Or is there no real data for that beyond word of mouth?

Well, I think the English version isn't compatible with any unofficial patch, so you'd need to play in japanese.

Also, which patches do you want? There are many of them. Emerald is obviously not compatible with anything. For the others, look at the wiki first for some pointers.

The Lunatic one has most of what the others have (Dark/Last Word/Final Touhoumons, Johto region, SA dungeon, etc.), but the difficulty is really high. It's not too bad if you know what you're doing, but if you give your Touhoumons crappy movesets you'll be grinding constantly.

Get the TouhouDex 1.53. It'll tell you what moves you can get, bases stats and all that, and is pretty much necessary to play in japanese.

I think so. One of my buds at my college is a big DS fan and has a plethora of roms. I'm pretty sure he loaded some of the to his R4 card. I don't know for sure but with the way he explained how the R4 card works i'm willing to bet you can load roms to it (hacks or otherwise)

You can't play GBA roms on any Slot-1 DS cards. However if you have a Slot-2 Card like the SuperCard Mini-SD it'll work. But the problem with the supercard is that the hardware is not fast enough for some GBA game and the game will lag, I don't know for pokemon. If a hack comes out for Diamond or Pearl it'll work on an R4. The best way to play GBA roms on a DS or GBA is to get an actual GBA flashcart like the EZFA 256 or the EZ Flash IV, but they may be hard to find.

I've been reading someone wishes to include Rin Satsuki to replace Humei (if I have correctly understood everything, multitasking doesn't help and it's still morning here). If this kind soul does and if that's in the next version, I know someone who's gonna be... pleased of the news. Kehehe.

Yup yup that twas my request. Along with adding the Watasuki sisters and Reisen II back into the game cause they were in some of the older english versions. Yui has finished the sprites it looked like for Rin but they've to add them in the game.
And Don't worry Theo already knows about it hehe. i told him a long while ago...perhaps 1-2 weeks ago.
Humei means unknown or mysterious apparently and she was a placeholder character....why? i have no idea. Personally, i thought it would be best to just not have anything in a spot if you don't have anything real to put there. Humei has Akyuu's sprite and different moves...but its not a touhou char at all. (some Mew that is haha) So after pondering it a bit to myself i suggested adding in Rin if it was possible/alright to do. Seems like they liked the idea so i can't wait for it either hehe ^_^

HAHAHH its that hard eh? Well being called Lunatic for a reason i already imagined the battles are hell. Has anyone played the Johto Patched game? How is that going? I'd love to try that in english as well sometime. but of course the one i can't wait for at all is the Gensokyo patched game. i don't mind playing games in japanese but for RPG i'd highly prefer em in english for full enjoyment of the story and whatnot (items too...)

Currently...I'm playing Aqua+Yui's version that DarkHedge mentioned earlier that should be getting the moon group and Rin soon. And i'm at sabrina training my Remilia team (Chibi Remi, Remilia, EX-Remilia, Final Remilia, Last Word Remilia and my starter EX-Marisa....she's the second couch as she's highest level hehe) and we'll beat her with an all vampire team hehehe.

If you plan to play Lunatic, map the dungeons (at least some part of them) if you don't want to wander around endlessly. It's much easier to find a way out, though it can be quite boring to draw lines and X's constantly.

But Viridian Forest is NOTHING compared to Mt. Moon and that goddamn Victory Road.

And Lunatic is hard, of course, but it's much more fun than just choosing someone with super-effectives attacks and OHKO everybody. You get some nice bonuses too. It's worth a try at least. Currently I'm trying to prevent the Elite Four from eating all my PP with Protect.

Huh!? I don't remember that. If you're talking about the Seafoam Islands, you can have Flash. Don't try to sequence break and go beat Koga first. Viridian Forest, Mt. Moon and Rock Tunnel don't have ice in them.

I'm not sure why you're raging exactly, but once I tried to sequence break (I wanted Hyper Potions in Cinnabar Island to make Saffron City easier), but was blocked by Red, who proceeded to crush me completely.

Then I realized I could buy Max Potions in that cave near Vermilion. All TMs are there too, which is incredibly helpful.

Is there a problem with posting download links? Since I made a few a while back with a basic 1.53 jpn rom and a zip file that has:

The Excel Touhoudex file
The Touhoumon location text file
a VBA Cheat file with some codes to get around certain things (get both Hakurei and Kirisame)
A read me file for the cheat file.

Basic Jpn 1.53 rom, already patched; the name is just my little name for it (it makes sense since Reimu's at the title screen and the main color is red, I can imagine a MaidBlue, and a WitchYellow, and the special (9)white); it does have the BGM patch worked in and maybe the cries. Didn't want to risk using beta features.

I do have a Touhoumon youtube semi-walkthrough; though I should really resume that.

The thing is with the english version is that people are trying to cram in things that were removed from the jpn version, eventfully I suspect the two things will go in different directions.

I'm a purist in terms of Touhoumon.
