>Kisume tugs on one of the four spider threads hanging around the lifted handle of the bucket. The one she pulled had been marked green.
>She then pulls out a map, tracing her finger along it, "Right... it's this one!"
>Kisume tugs on a blue-marked thread three times, and the bucket flies along it at a rather high speed.

>Remilia and Sakuya have returned, and are busy having a random conversation with Reimu, Marisa, Yukari and Yuugi.

>Patchouli nods gravely, "Unfortunately so. As you can see, it was nearly destroyed. It looks a lot different to how I remembered it, that's why I didn't recognise it at first."

>She gulps guiltily, "You know... don't think badly of me when I say it, but... that spellbook was protected by the previous Hakurei shrine maiden. When I met Yukari, she found the spellbook and told me that people wanted to find it. It's a Gensokyo-wide conspiracy, really. So she called a small meeting of all the people that her and I trusted the most. Remilia, Yuyuko, Shikieiki, Suika, Ran, Marisa, Patchouli and Alice. Sakuya was there, too. I completely forgot."
>Patchouli nods, "We were all asked to think of a good place to hide it. We all went home without answers, then we were all contacted by Shikieiki and we had a meeting again. During that meeting, we buried that book deep underground, in a specially fitted magical box that would destroy the book if someone failed 3 times to crack open the safe."
>Reimu sighs, "Unfortunately, Marisa had tried to blast the book to pieces, which is why it was in such a tattery state."

'If Gensokyo's barrier starts to break, and the magic begins to drain out of it and into the outside world, we have no choice but to destroy Gensokyo'. Morbid, I know, but that's the words of the Yama and all."

>Yukari nods, "Yes. It sprung up with enough force and energy to erode the magical failsafe, which was weak to begin with. Then, it must have fallen through the hole that was created, and therefore someone found it, was able to open it without any difficulty and didn't think it important due to its tattered state so they sold it as a secondhand book."
>Marisa raises an eyebrow, "Ya' think so?"

>"But at any rate, we need to re-seal it before the festival. I'll put my preparations on hold to aid in re-sealing it."

>Patchouli frowns, "I don't think the generic magical-failsafe-box we used last time will be enough. Each of us needs to place a separate seal on which, which we should all then strengthen. That way, we all need to open it in the backwards order to which we sealed it. That should work."
