Since you're making a new one, I'll offer another replay of mine. It's not the greatest, but my playing isn't variegated enough to give many opportunities for funny deaths. In any event, I just tried another no-bomb no-focus run of EoSD, and stage 4 has a fairly freakish death right before Patchy. I died at the same instant as one of the fairies, so the bullets became items and clustered around the point where I died. That's really the only good one, though you can use whatever you want from that run if you're so inclined. I leisurely back up into some bullets on Sakuya's second nonspell, for instance, because they blend with that background, but I don't think the stupidity of the maneuver is apparent since that attack just looks confusing anyway.

I see that your score's above 200 million and I am guessing that in a survival run you're going for Blue UFOs. Don't do that. It wastes potential resources.

Could just be rainbow UFOs in a few spots (which gets more changing UFOs) and a couple blues in Stage 6 (because of so many point items)

Stage 4, 2 of each type, summon a rainbow and you now have 1 of each +2 more changing ones meaning you can summon a red/green.

I was referring to the Blue UFOs in Stage 6, not the rainbow UFOs. If you look in my Hard 1cc, you see I use them a lot and would make me a hypocrite if I noted otherwise.

I still think it's more worth it to get a bomb or half of a life in Stage 6 rather than 100 million or so points.

You're missing my point.  There's also no loss in resources because you're getting 3 solid blues that can't convert to lives/bombs unless you summon a solid blue.

Simple case here.

One can do three things with solid blues: waste them, use them in a large blue or put them in a rainbow.
Wasting blues is not beneficial.
Rainbows are impossible in this case.
Making a large blue does a couple of things:
1. A bunch of points. Points can not harm you.
2. Erase bullets on explosion. Bullets always harm you.
It has been established that the subject could not have been doing anything but mess around with solid blues.
Ergo: the subject is correct in making a large blue.

Erm, the reason why I summoned Blues during stage 6 in some of my runs would've been to get an extra colour-changing UFO.
I'd mainly use it to summon an extra Green UFO (or Red depending on the situation) if I wasn't going to get enough colour-changing UFOs from the space-invader fairies.

The reason I'd summon blues in any other stage (mainly only stage 5 and possibly, but rarely, stage 4) would be because they're no other UFOs on the screen at the time, to make a colour-changing UFO after it's destroyed, and also to clear screen (ie. doom-fairies, but usually I just pick up any UFO I can find if they wonder near me, otherwise I pray.)

That's probably why my score fluctuates wildly from 200mil to 300mil in runs which reach LFS.  However, I really don't actually care much about my score right now because I just want to get this damn run out of the way  :derp:
