26 scenes cleared thus far in 90FPS Shoot the Bullet. Just got 3-1 and 6-5.

This is starting to grow on me, even though it repeatedly hands me my ass on a platter. :V

I may have learned something big to help me perfect UFO Stage 5 Lunatic. You know the fairy rush after Nazrin that is usually hell with narrow shots like ReimuA? Normally I find a spot in the lower-left corner and sit there hoping the fairies don't shit in my face, but expanding my spot to about double that space and going back and forth almost in a rhythm is somehow making it easier. Coupled with me getting just a bit better at Greatest Treasure lately, this will help me get more quality runs out to Shou.

Game over to Scarlet Meister at 90fps. This was probably the greatest I will ever do against Remi. If it weren't for losing a life to her with all three bombs still attached I could've reached Scarlet Gensokyo. I'm not sure what to think of this, but it just may be possible to 1cc if I can hold on to enough lives for the end. How many will I need to beat Scarlet Gensokyo with no dodging? :derp:

ReimuA, and I was out of bombs for that spell. It's tough to decide between A and B for this since they both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I seem to have the most success as ReimuA. I'm going to try tolerating a few mid-stage bombs as ReimuB to see if she ends up saving resources in the long run by making the bosses slightly easier. I'm not used to being dependent on actually capturing spells as part of my strategy! D:

I see, figured that using Reimu A would have its merits at 90FPS. Don't know if it helps for not or if you're using the same strategy anyway, but if you wind up as Reimu B against Scarlet Meister, maybe you could use this strategy I came up with for my first clear since my mindset was quite similiar to yours as far as capturing spells is concerned. It's nothing major and I never really bothered checking if anyone else used it since I didn't watch replays by other people up until some time ago, but it works quite well with the right timing, so I figured I'd better ask since I really loved how I could always push further in EoSD by squeezing out more resources everywhere I could despite the general scarcity, so maybe this will help you.

No idea how easy it is to reproduce it at 90FPS, but you can practice it on Hard Mode just fine, the timing isn't any different.

That's excellent. I think I can certainly pull that off if I get that far, and any way to save myself a bomb is going to be valuable. I watched that 1cc of yours once before and I recall seeing some cool moves like that, so I think I'll have to see if I can learn anything else from it. Thanks for the advice.

One other thing to note to make it easier is that after dying or bombing you can sit on top of Remilia to clear all dangerous bullets in the next wave. This gives you time to shotgun her and with ReimuB you will do a huge amount of damage. You can see me do it in the Ultra 1cc.

I'm guessing 1/3 will do it to beat it without dodging.

Nice work, everyone. Especially you, .ASP. But the rest of you as well.

I also just made an achievement that means quite a bit to me, since I've been giving this game's scoring system quite a lot of my time lately. I like it, yes, but it is nice to see how you achieve something after working hard. It's a lot like it was with SFN, the road itself was bumpy, and frustrating at points, but still enjoyable.

Of course, I am no man to beat WR's, at least not yet, so my mainly competitors are people I look up to, and myself. Especially myself. And I beat myself today.

Oh god that's good to hear. Thank you Jaimers. I was kind of fearing that Scarlet Gensokyo would kill me off unless I reached it with some impossible number of resources, but with that technique, and the power of ReimuB, I should be able to clear. Getting there with 1/3 will hopefully be within my abilities if I can clean up my act in stages 3 and 4.

Wow, that's brave, don't think I could have done that, would have been too scared of getting the timing wrong, though I guess it's bearable if you can actually practice it on the respective difficulty.

Finally cleared all scenes 1-3 at 90FPS StB.

I swear, at 90FPS there is no time to read the lasers on 3-6 and it turns the whole card into total luckshit. Lost count of the number of attempts that one took.

Also capped 6-4, so just 2 more and I'll have reached stage 7. I remember hating Sakuya with a fiery passion at 60FPS. This is going to be torturous. :ohdear:

I finally cleared IN Hard with Reimu solo!
Overall, this run wasn't that great, especially the Reisen fight. I got to her with 5 lives (or was it 6? I can't remember) and was jumpy because I'd been doing alright so far, so my fingers were just stabbing the left and right keys and moving too close to bullets, causing me to panic and bomb several times when I shouldn't have. I got to Kaguya with 3 lives, however I DID get the last extend this time. At first I was doing pretty badly, but this time I captured Salamander Shield and did pretty well for the first half of Hourai Jewel (except the very beginning which I screwed up because I was too high up the screen when the card started). I ended 0/0, but now I have all the last words unlocked and this is finally done.

Now back to trying to get a lunatic 1cc.
