I didn't know Mystic Square actually let you choose to set your bombs at zero. Anyway, MS Hard no bomb left side only failed against Yuki and Mai. The bosses in this game make no effort to follow you, so you just have to wait. I did record it actually, and I believe every single death was the result of input lag because I was recording. :V

One more challenge for now, and thankfully my favorite game in the series. PoDD, Hard, no bombs, somebody has to choose my character. I'm begging you, give me Chiyuri.

I feel like this would be a lot of fun but I would kill myself if I had to play on lunatic because I'm not that good. This seems like something for really advanced players who are used to playing with weird restrictions.

Part of the fun is getting beasted by the games, and you're free to limit it to Easy or Normal and still play with some restrictions.

First attempt at a no-focus run, any game.  One horribly stupid death with full bombstock on stage five; general mucking about on stage four.

Lots of timeouts, cleared 2/3.  A couple of nice captures in there too. (Cirno's opener)

Also, does pacifist still allow the use of bombs, seeing as there is another specific "no-bombs" restriction up there, that was what I had been thinking. If that were the case then Naut could have bombed PSM and potentially gotten much further.

Long story short:
(1) Border Team cheeses everything.
(2) Every last one of Reisen's attacks requires at least one bomb.  I ran out of resources at Reisen's last nonspell.

Made it to the second half of stage 4 and damn proud. Keine? "Never heard of her", that sums up the performance against her.  no focus in this game carries quite a bit of meaning, just learned it now though (collecting items, which characters are even usable [some of the human side characters tend to turn this into a timeout-run as well] ... man was am I dependent on focus  :V). From captures to derps to bad playing to panic, this has it all.

At least I got to listen to Old World again, it's been awhile.

(I know, there is focus after using a bomb but there's not a whole lot I can do about it if it's automatic)

To my astonishment, I managed to no-death Stage 1. Bear in mind, this is no-focus no-vertical. That's actually an achievement to be proud of. And then I derped horrendously at the end and didn't get past midboss Kyouko. Whee. :V

Rolled again, and got Ten Desires again. This time it's Extra, no vertical, only the left side of the screen. :ohdear:

EDIT: lol, not even bothering uploading that replay. I have it if anyone wants it, but considering the stage and conditions, it's pretty failtastic.

I completed my first challenge, a GFW Lunatic no-bombs 1cc. Ammy might get a kick out of this one. :V

However I ran into this sort of hilarious glitch after beating the last card, that one where if you defeat one of the support fairies with ice at the same time you kill the leader, the stage will continue indefinitely (see here). Anyone else run into this before, and how often?
