>Continue to pepper her with shots while backing to a safer distance.

>You back away and try to ignore the pain in your arms, sending out a web pattern that doesn't really manage to achieve much at this distance.
>"Shatter Sign: Glass in the Wind!" the oni cries, as she tosses out a few more large yellow bubble shots.  One flies far to the left, well away from both of you. Another comes toward you, but is drifting leftward enough that it won't hit you at it's current route, while a third speeds toward the right, a bit further from you than the second shot. They're moving quite fast, it would be hard to dodge any of them if they came at you directly.

Desperate times do call for desperate measures...

If the wok is viable I'd go for the turtle method, if not then an even more desperate measure of a sort of bucket roll to block would be required, and if stuff risks falling out, grab our booze and hold it firm.

Just as advice, I can't think of anything else at the moment.

It might be possible to use that booze to our advantage somehow. I doubt offering it to the oni in exchange for stopping the fight would work, though - he'd probably just take it after beating us up.
Throwing the bottle in his direction, maybe? But then I guess even if that did work and we could use that opportunity to give him another bucket to the head, it doesn't seem like that would knock him out, given the previous attempts. And I don't know how the other oni would take it.

> Oh well. Shank him after all.

NOT THE BOOZE!

>The wok is not very large. You could probably fit it on top of you head comfortable if you let your hair down.
>It could probably take a danmaku shot, but it would definitely be less efficient than dodging in the long run. You don't think this would be regarded as escalation, largely because it wouldn't achieve much.

>You are pretty sure, this deep in, no oni would take well to trying to weasel out of the fight. Experience has taught you the best way to do that is to just run for the bridge and not stop until you lose them and get out of the city.

>Oni are generally willing to let accidents be accidents, as long as it wasn't their booze. But as far as intentionally doing so, frankly it'd annoy you to see someone ruining a good drink (largely because they could have given it to you instead), so you can only imagine how poorly they'd take it.

Hm...
> Inventory

First other thing that comes to mind is that salt we have. Problem is that we didn't grind it up yet, otherwise we could try throwing it into the oni's eyes.
But really, I'm not sure how we can take the oni down if multiple bucket blows didn't do all that much to her. Shanking aside, there's things like poking her in the eyes, but I have a felling that would not end well.

>Better be safe than sorry, good friend!

(Also, 2 pots and no means of making fire? What is this sorcery?)
>Try to remember if you have lighter in the pockets of your spare dirty robes, if so make a mental note to create a Molotov cocktail as an emergency weapon. You don't need no alcohol anyways, that's for hedonistic weaklings. After all we can't forget you are a beautiful strong youkai who don't need no booze.

Crystallized salt to the eyes can hurt too~
Provided it is sharp, of course.

(Sorry Purvis, the fact you made a thread like this made me nostalgia so hard. I still mourn the day you didn't continue that CPMC thread.)

... I don't think exploding salt would cause any real damage. I was more thinking along the lines of getting some into her eyes so she's temporarily blinded, which means we could give her a few more whacks with the bucket. But I guess that might escalate things, too, so meh.

I was referring to the Molotov idea, it was once known as the poor man's Anti Tank weapon due to the fact that the heat of the fire induced by one would ruin the engine to the point of wasting the tank. . < .

The salt crystal idea sounds neat, though rather underhanded, but then we've thrown a bucket at her full of ourselves and several other things so it isn't much of a step in my opinion . 3 .
