>It's from only a few feet away, and sounds like something modestly large and relatively aerodynamic being thrown through the air towards you.

Cross your fingers, boys and girls, Sour's going back to the well one last time.

>Slash our sword at Fuuka's eyes, slashing from our left to right.
>Dodge to the left to get away from whatever Chisato's dance partner fired at us. That should be easier on our damaged legs.
>While Fuuka's eyes are upon our blade, while we're moving laterally, fire our last kunai at the tengu attacking Miyuki.
>If Fuuka is no longer in our way, advance down the hall towards miyuki and her attacker. But keep an ear open, in case she or her 'friend' decide to attack us again.

>You slash at Fuuka's face with her own weapon while sidestepping left to avoid the projectile from your rear. Her sword is quite light and well-balanced in your hands and you feel the air part smoothly in front of it. Unfortunately, your two actions are at something of cross-purposes with each other, and you end up pulling out of weapon's range with your body even as you attempt to extend towards Fuuka with your arm. You doubt she would even need to move to stay safe of the blade, yet she pulls hard aside and backs against the other wall just the same. You find yourself frowning slightly.
>Behind her, you see Miyuki crashing face-first towards the floor, only a step or two away from your door again. She shifts an arm to brace against the fall, but the other tengu is upon her before she even hits the ground, clamping a hand around Miyuki's other arm and hauling her upright.
>You twist your wrist to send another kunai into the tengu's back when something smacks you hard in the side of your head. The impact is enough to daze you mid-motion. Dimly, you see something long and wooden spin unevenly past the edge of your peripheral vision, tumbling towards the ground.
>Fumbling to push aside the haze and find your shot again, you see the tengu pull Miyuki close to her. The latter immediately rounds on her assailant with a backhand swing despite being held upright by nothing more than her captor's own arm. The motion is wide and made before even confirming a target by sight, but she launches it with such suddenness that the tengu's attempt to tilt away from the blow still doesn't stop it from clipping her in the head. While unsteady yourself, you're not about to let this shot slip past. You hurl your kunai towards the tengu.

>Two voices immediately ring out almost as one. The tone of Fuuka's words lacks the impassioned fierceness of Chisato's, but the message is the same.
>"Behind you!"
>Even as the words are being spoken, you hear the air part amid the rush of a body at your back. Fuuka lunges towards you from the right.

>You don't believe so. In fact, the impact didn't actually feel all that heavy; it was more stunning than actually damaging, though you still feel slightly dazed.
>It looked a bit like a wooden pole of some sort, actually.
>You suspect she is.

What do you think, Kilga, slash at them to keep them at bay, or try and dodge?

I think I haven't been able to follow the game for a few days due to life. Sorry. I'll leave it to your best judgment.

EDIT: Though in a vacuum, with the way these tengu are moving around, I slightly prefer offensive defense than defensive defense, so I guess I vote slashing.

Given their agility, and the fact that we have a compromised leg, I'm inclined to agree. But we should still try to get closer to Miyuki, in the entirely likely event that that shot misses, too.

>If that tengu behind us is armed.... Sorry, Miyuki, but we can't help you if that one impales us.
>Turn around, slashing at Fuuka during the turn to keep her off us, and bring up our sword defensively to protect against her attack, if she attacks, or to warn her off she she seems about to.
>"Chisato! Little help!"
>Try and move towards that discarded knife if we can, in order to grab it with our tail. Or grab it from here with our tail, if we are able.

>You spin around as quickly as you can while keeping most of your weight on your good leg, sweeping the tengu blade across Fuuka's path as she lunges at you. In the corner of your eye, you see the lead tengu attempt to twist aside from the wall, but Miyuki continues to struggle against her and tries to bash her in the head again. You don't see whether she's successful in this, but you do hear her captor hiss sharply as you turn away from her.
>Fuuka pulls her lunge short of contact with her own weapon, and tries to shift towards the side you're now exposing, but it is without the grace she demonstrated earlier. She is still bleeding freely and breathing heavily, her movements leaden compared to before.
>And as you round enough to glance the tengu rushing you from behind, you see that it was not a moment too soon that you did so. In fact, you're already almost too late. With as much speed as you can muster, you bring your sword across her weapon's path and twist your body aside from the thrusting blade. The edge of your weapon catches hers as it comes within a mere inch of your body, narrowly pushing it aside before it can impale you. It is a straight-edged sword, rather resembling a wakizashi, and quite unlike the weapons wielded by the other two tengu. Its wielder leaps back quickly as her weapon is intercepted and banks around to your side.
>With a degree of grim satisfaction, you note that she is not without injury. Her face shows definite signs of being bludgeoned, with a pronounced redness on the side of her jaw and another patch above one eye, trailing a thin line of blood. There are also multiple sizable splinters of wood dug into her shoulder and arm, almost like shrapnel. Blood wells around the edge of the larger ones, and there are several bloodier marks along the arm that make you almost wonder if other splinters had been forcibly removed. She seems to be doing a good job of shrugging them off, though.

>"Chisato! Little help!"
>Try and move towards that discarded knife if we can, in order to grab it with our tail. Or grab it from here with our tail, if we are able.

>"What the hell do you think I'm doin'?!" the redhead snaps as she runs towards the two of you, wooden pole in hand. She looks a little the worse for wear herself, with a thin slash cut across the side of her shirt and the skin beneath and a more showy wound on her forehead, trailing blood down the side of her face and over her eye. Her right hand also looks somehow... charred?
>You shift a step back and carefully feel for Miyuki's knife with your tail. ...there it is!
>The new arrival lunges suddenly at you again while Fuuka disappears behind the edge of your peripheral vision.

>About a half dozen feet or so.
>It's possible, depending on whether the tengu moves away from her, or goes for a second strike while still in close range of you.
>She seems more pissed off than actually impaired. You don't see any obvious injuries on her legs.
>It's possible, but she rounded past your field of vision before you could really see what she was doing.

>Grab that knife with our tail.
>Follow her lunge, parry her strike, then slash back at her if the opportunity presents itself.
>If no opportunies to slash her with the sword present themselves, transfer the knife to our free hand, and give her a sneer. "Wanna keep dancing?" Then feint a stab with the knife, keep her focused on us, give Chisato time to brain her with that stick of hers.
>Keep an ear open for fuuka, make sure she's not sneaking up on us.
>Take a step backwards after repelling the tengu attacking us's attack. Miyuki's still in trouble, after all...
>"Is this relic REALLY worth this?"

>"Is this relic REALLY worth this?"

>You slide your tail over the hilt of the knife and carefully wrap around it while bringing your sword around to receive the tengu's attack.
>Her movement is quick and forceful, and though you manage to catch her blade and turn it away of your torso again, she continues to press forward; she pushes you back towards the wall, partially pinning your sword arm against your body. She attempts to twist the angle of her weapon and press it into your side from behind your guard, but you tilt the angle of your own sword and force it wide again.
>Having gotten a solid grip on it, you swing your tail back towards your hand. Or at least attempt to. As you pull the end of it off the ground, something slams down hard on it from above and you cringe involuntarily. Dammit, not the tail! The tengu quickly pulls her blade free of yours and stabs again.
