I trust Chisato enough to be able to hold her own against her tengu. Maybe not WIN, but keep that one off us while we deal with the wind-sword tengu. As much as I'd like to use Fuuka here as a hostage, I'd wager she's been effectively taken out of the fight. I can very much live with that. And it might  (emphasis on might) make Aya think twice about the opposition here, seeing one of hers cut up that bad.

But wind blade.... Honestly, I don't know how we're gonna beat her on one leg, assuming Chisato and Miyuki can't help us against her, but I know we've got a better chance than Miyuki does now that she's lost her knife.

Actually,

My kingdom for a clear shot.... Oh, well.

>Sound as cock-sure as we can manage with a gaping wound in our leg, and straighten up. "Chisato? If yours doesn't wanna fight you, I'm free now. I got one bird full of holes, and one running away from me."
>Start down the corridor towards Fuuka, but keep our kunai ready for a throw. If we can get a clearer shot than what we have now, without risking Miyuki, throw a kunai at the back of the tengu chasing her.
>Keep an ear open for sounds behind us, in case Chisato's opponent falls for our taunt. And an eye on Fuuka, in case she's pissed enough to ignore orders.

You could leap into weapons range, at the very least, though you imagine she'd be free to retreat as you did so. There's probably a decent chance you could still clip her if she tried.

This is a right dilly of a pickle. I can't see any way to save Miyuki from leaderface outside of getting off a projectile shot, but that runs the added risk of leaderface dodging and us hitting Miyuki instead.

>Essentially yes.
>They are slashing rather than stabbing weapons, with smoothly curved and tapered blades. They look fairly light-weight, but their design would necessitate an entirely different sort of throw than what you're most used to. You imagine you could still hit someone with one, but it would be an inexact thing.

Suggestion: Grab the sword, jump at Fuuka, chuck sword at her when she tries to dodge.

Throwing a sword? I like that. It means that even if it fails outright, we still have our two kunai.

>Have we ever thrown swords before?
>Does this one seem particularly... aerodynamic?
>Would we have time to switch both kunai to one hand, grab the sword, and send it flying into the tengu assaulting Miyuki before she's likely to gut her?

>No. And frankly, most of them don't make great throwing weapons.
>As far as swords go, you suppose it's not bad, though you couldn't guarantee you wouldn't just whack your target with the blunt end of the sword rather than any part which would cause real damage.

For the record, I really don't think this is going to work. But I see little other options here.
Throwing a sword may not be effective (no surprises there) but wielding one? That's something else.

>Lean around Fuuka as much as possible and throw a kunai at the tengu attacking Miyuki. Get her thinking about us again.
>If the kunai connects, say, "And you've got me!"
>Grab up the sword Fuuka dropped. And hope the hilt isn't too slick with blood.
>Keep our spare kunai handy to ward off Fuuka's attacks, if she gets ballsy.
>Keep an ear open behind us in case Chisato's dance partner comes after us.

>You lean around Fuuka and take your shot, flinging one of your kunai at the tengu chasing Miyuki.
>"Left!" Fuuka cries as you release your weapon. Almost immediately, the other tengu twists her body aside and to the left, drawing her wings close around her. Your shot sails wide of her, and fortunately wide of Miyuki as well. She gains another step on the tengu, though the latter manages to somehow conserve much of her forward momentum even as she evades.
>Before your kunai has even hit the wall, Fuuka lunges for her discarded weapon. You quickly pivot your body back in front of her and slash out with your remaining kunai while stretching your free hand towards the sword. You grimace tightly against the stab of pain this maneuver tears from your injured leg, but your attack does force Fuuka back slightly - enough for you to claim her weapon first. You grumble dryly as you feel a smear of wetness beneath your fingers as they grasp the hilt, but at least it's not enough to impact your grip.
>You hear a thunk as your kunai sinks into the wall beyond your missed target. A swift footstep rings out very close behind you and you hear something heavy woosh through the air towards you. Miyuki lets out a sharp cry of pain.

Going to bed. Try handplanting and swinging our good leg around to kick at Fuuka.

I honestly have no clue how we can stop the leader from getting to Miyuki because projectile attacks are completely ineffective and we no longer have meaningful ground mobility, so I think our best bet is to take Fuuka down and get into a hostage standoff.

>With the sword, yes. And you would assume the sword to have greater reach when you account for the arm that it's attached to. Fuuka might still be in kicking range, though this would also mean bearing your weight on your bad leg in the process.
