>Did we manage to turn her any?
>Damage assessment to our leg.
>A little, though not all the way aside yet.
>You've taken a fairly deep slash to your right leg, above the knee. It hurts fiercely and you're having a hard time keeping strength in it at the moment, but you can't say just how bad it is without a more careful examination. It certainly could have been worse.
> Swing our right arm out of the way of the slash path by yanking it across our body, dragging the kunai through the stabbed tengu's arm and hopefully ripping said arm up enough that she lets go of her sword.
> Assist this swing of our right arm to the left by rotating our whole body counterclockwise, pivoted in our right leg even though it's injured. It only has to hold up for a couple of seconds...
> Utilize our body's rotational momentum to throw a side kick behind us with our left leg aimed squarely at the uninjured tengu's stomach area.
>You pull your right arm away from the attack, doing no kindnesses to the tengu in front of you as you take the path of greatest resistance and tear your kunai through whatever flesh is in its way. She lets out a guttural growl as you rip another gash in her, and her arm quavers.
>While drawing your own arm away, you twist your whole body aside from the incoming attack and try to throw a kick behind you. You gasp as this maneuver pulls the sword across the length of the wound it's still embedded in and digs deeper into your flesh. Your leg trembles beneath you and threatens to collapse entirely. No! No, don't you
dare give out now! Grimacing with single-minded determination, you ignore the pain and the intrustion of steel in your flesh and simply force your muscles to remain taut while you spin around and snap your other leg at the approaching tengu.
>The attack comes out both weaker and sloppier than you'd hoped, and it's all you can do to keep from falling over afterwards. Damn it all! Your right leg is trembling and you can feel blood starting to flow down it, warm and thick. While your kick is still mostly on target, this turns out to hardly matter. Your target turns her movement aside as you strike out at her, spreading her wings and neatly gliding away from your attack without even giving up much forward momentum. Her sword smoothly curves to strike at you from this new angle, but then her eyes dart urgently to the side and she twists her sword away and lashes out against the air. A crescent blade of wind leaps from her blade and flies down the corridor.
>"Fuuka!" she cries. "Behind you!"
