>"'Kay, buddy," says Yamame.
>Feeling decently rested, you make your way back into the corridor and down the chute. It's still a bit trying by the end, but not so bad as it was the first time. You take a seat on the rock, and look at the pot. You can hear the spirit pounding on the sides of the pot every so often; sooner or later, you imagine it'll successfully hit the side of the pot enough to dislodge the rock.

>It is about as well balanced as you could make it. There's not much more you can do to position that rock any better.
>Once you feel rested, you creep over toward the chest again, and work the tip of your rusty piece of rebar into the edge of the drawer. After a moment, you feel it catch on something that should give proper leverage. Then you apply some force and...slowly, every so slowly, it starts to give. You hear the wood splinter where you are prying, and the whole shelf creek and groan. The drawer slips out an inch, then two. Then with a loud snap, the front of the drawer gives way on the left side. The right side still holds, but it should be easy to remove the drawer front now.

>You pull out the bottle and read the label. It seems your suspicions are correct; it is a bottle of shochou; the label proclaims that it has come from the main distillery in the Ancient City, and is about...huh, 43 years old, you think.
>The scarf is a darkish yellow, it doesn't really match Yamame's hair, but it may go with her dress, the color seems to match the bands around it.

>You don't seen any signs of oni shackles; you're not immediately sure how it got here.
>You don't know much about liquor ages, to be honest. You tend to drink what you can it.
>You go on to look into the pots after setting the liquor aside. Most of the them are empty or hold the decayed remains of food, but you recall that one had a hammer in it, Looking around, you find another holds an old kitchen knife. Looking around, you pass some wooden boxes, and note they are mostly empty, though one holds a couple of loose coins.

>The kitchen knife is old, and rather dull. You could probably sharpen it easily if you found a good stone to do it with, but it is a bit large to carry in your pocket. The hammer is easy enough to find. It is old and a bit rusted. The head seems a little loose.

>You could stick the hammer in your pocket easily. You're not so sure about the bottle, it wouldn't be very secure if you did that. You're also not sure if you can wear the mask, you didn't check it to see if it had strings, still.

>You make your way back to where you found the mask.  It's not hard to find again. Picking it up, you note that it seems to be a mask of a downcast woman. There are still stringing dangling from it, but they are rather dirty and having them touching your hair would be pretty unpleasant.
