>You move around a bit to get a better look at some of the less obvious spots, while giving the more violent spots a lot of space.
>Things seem to be relatively peaceful at the moment, you don't notice any large gatherings or gang fights or anything of that nature. You do notice that some of the buildings look quite a bit newer than the others, likely they were leveled during the riots from the last incident and rebuilt recently. Aside from those, you really can't see any signs that it happened.

Well, I'm thinking that if he moved off into the city a couple hours ago and there's no obvious sign of him at this very moment, the trail isn't going to get much colder if we go in the opposite direction briefly. And the clinic at least as the advantage of being populated by people who will probably be comparatively friendly to us, and not going deeper into the city where we don't necessarily feel that safe. They probably didn't see anything, but who knows? So, unless anyone objects...

>Shrug
>Head back to the clinic

That's okat with me. I'm kinda thinking we might've wanted to go to the surface instead to talk with people who might actually know the guy, but we might as well use up all our options before leaving. Even Parsee.

>Shrug
>Head back to the clinic

>You make your way toward the clinic with a shrug.
>Heading toward the bridge, you turn westward near the wall, and follow it until you can see the clinic. Tucked between two old houses, the only reason it stands out at all is the cloth banner hanging over the front that has a number of medical symbols on it.  The street in front of it is empty, save for a woman in a flashy red and orange dress with a girdle of tiger stripes around it, and a length of cloth that floats around her shoulders. It looks very much at odds with the fact that she is sweeping the front steps. You aren't sure who this is, but you're sure that it's one of the people with the clinic, you saw her pass by a month ago, and thought better of robbing her then.

>"Heyya. You seen a human guy with white hair around the city today?"

>You float over toward her. She turns around as you do, and bows toward you. "Good evening," she says.
>She shakes her head as you ask your question. "I haven't seen any humans here for a long time. But, my current patient did mention something of that nature. Why do you ask?"

>"Oh, I see," says the youkai, frowning. "Um, just that she saw one. If you like, you could ask her yourself, but she's rather hung over at the moment..."

>Head on in, and look for said oni. Make sure not to get too close if she's really in the mood to swing at someone.

>"You're welcome," says Shou. "Try to keep your voice down."
>You head inside of the clinic. Inside, you see that there are cots set up everywhere in orderly rows. By each of them is a bucket, many of them of rather shoddy quality you note. Not that this surprises you, you wouldn't want to waste a good one on something like this. The walls are paper, and have heavy blankets hung up near them to keep it comfortably dark. Several of the cots are occupied, you note that the people here are spaced far apart, and none of them look very happy with life, having greenish complexions and such. Thankfully, the air smells rather clean, so you're reasonably sure none of those buckets have been used.
>Looking left of the door, you can see a thin oni in dark blue robes decorated with flower blossoms. Her hair is short and dark, and accentuates the two long horns that grow upwards from her temples. She is curled on her side on the cot, presently staring at the wall. You suspect she'd be rather tall if she stood up.

>The warehouses are on the southeast part of town, mostly.
>It's not so much that you avoid it as that you have no real reason to be there. Though you don't think oni would be very happy with you snooping around their warehouses, in any event.
