Erp... I can't beat the First tower boss yet... so, can anyone show me the way to the Long Shot...?  :ohdear:

Also, can anyone post a screenshot of Buruburu so, I can start training up for the first tower boss.

I already got the Hook Shot, the shikigamis, and party members that the hook shot points lead to so, I just need to find out where the heck to go next.

Longshot is in the final dungeon.  You cannot miss it.

Buruburu is the zombie-like thing that appears in the hookshot area just north of the shrine, where the Three Fairies are.  It's not a very good shikigami overall, but the move that nulls all water damage for 1 turn only costs 5 mana and has zero cooldown, so one character should do nothing but that all fight.  She still hits like a truck, and she should still be done last.

You need to now go down to the third stratum.  I don't remember exactly where the stairs are, so check areas that you still have undiscovered points in.  You'll fight and recruit Shikieiki there.

And I take the final dungeon is on the third stratum, which I do not have any idea how to get to so, some directions to there would be nice... but, thank you for the help.

First, I need to get ready for a Doctor's appointment then, I'll comb the dungeons with unknown points on DoD.

Monster shikigami vary from useless to awesome.  There are only a couple I would say are mandatory, at least until the final tower.

Peri (Chasers make everything so much easier)
Buruburu (For the first tower boss, and only for the first tower boss, but combined with Koakuma it makes her a joke)
Dragon Maid (Circle resists and breaths for all four elements as well as a pretty good single buff, great for hitting chasers with Peri)

I think Sylph's 電光石火 lets your party act first (a field effect that might be nice for bosses).  The 新造人間サイコポリマー (Jinzo) enemy lets you give enemies weaknesses (or make their existing ones worse), and eventually gets ○ resistances for physical attacks.

I dunno about useful he is later in the game, but the lesser demon in the second tower has decent stats, ◎ resistance against dark (upgrades into a star), and some rather strong dark attacks (Demon Flare has 250 power).

Where is the Jinzo enemy?  Because judging from screenshots, applying and then exploiting weaknesses seems to be the only way to reliably deal with bosses later on.

I posted it on the previous page.  It's in Muenzeka, Makai 4 side.  Don't go into the same "screens" that it shares with the main entrance, but the areas near where I think you'd recruit Yuyuko (she was a character I started with, so I can't confirm).

I'm not sure whether there's another enemy later in the game that shares that skill, but it seems to be part of how the "holy shit huge damage" screenshots on pooshlmer are made.

Welp, thanks to An Awsome Person's advice, I found a pathway in the Garden of the Sun on the 2nd Stratum while running around, and I got Murasa although, the boss to get her was... being a troll. 

After getting Murasa while running around Makai 4, I found Daiyousei and caught her.

Let's see what else shikigamis and people I will find!~  :3

I'm grateful for the advice and will now apply it throughout the rest of my DoD run as Yukari.  :matsurismirk:

I managed to get her HP down to a little bit about in the hundreds area,  decided to use Patchouli's Last Word to finish her off, and I ended up getting NUKED!

Is there something I missed ... or did I not notice a gimmick?

Edit: I think the message when she's preparing to do it is 全力集中, but I'm basing that off of memory so it might be slightly wrong.

Ah, thank you and no biggie 3 times the charm, I got her with Remilia and Yukari finishing her off with Spear moves. While Sanae/Lyrica buffed their attacks and healed along with Patchouli. Youmu helped the buffers using Lunasa but, she also, attacked too.  It wasn't that bad but, the Nuke surprise was a big troll bomb last round. This time I rushed her down.

Just go the other way, finding your way through the Forest of Magic isn't that hard. Misty Lake is a bit tricky, but as long as you remember that fog in this game is somehow a warping mechanic and that there are fog in the middle of two rocks in a lot of places, that place becomes a lot easier to navigate.

As for the Yama, it's weird, I've fought her in two games already and I've never had a single problem with her. Actually, she didn't even ever get to charge her judgment.

If you burst past her limit it's very possible not to see Full Charge come up ever.

Got Kaguya and Eirin down to a quarter health on the first try.  This is doable.

Did a bit of hunting with my new fangled hookshot while at the same time replacing Patchy with Sanae so I could play around with her and see how her stats develop.

Added several shikigami to my collection, including Momiji, Star Sapphy & Luna Child, and Kisume from a random battle with her.  Sunny Milk joined as a new party member, but I don't think I'll use her.  She seems like she'd be at Utsuho levels of getting KO'd often so...yeah.

Right now exploring the southern part of the 2nd stratum.  There were a couple areas around the 2nd stratum I could not find a path to go deeper into.  One was in Muenzuka (Where I found an item that I would only assume I'd need to recruit Yuyuko) , the other is the area south of the first desert area of the 2nd stratum (Where I'd suspect someone like Youmu or Yuyuko would reside in).

I founded the pass to get past the red stop signs at Former Flames of Hell.

Encountered a few Yukkuri Towers which made me squeal with delight while they ran like crazy which, made me cry.

But, now I need get to Forest of Magic, if I can find it that is, wahahahaha!~

Although, finding Flandre and using her Laevetein I find that she hits hard like a semi-truck with buffs and does 1,000+ damage to monsters.

Comparing all of those people to eachother is a little harder due to differing VIT counts in addition to POT, but Sunny is pretty much more durable then all of them (Marisa/Utsuho have quite negligibly higher hp/vit then Sunny with far less POT and Patch pales in all defensive stats in comparison to her)

And 333 damage to bosses :V  Speaking of fixed damage, those assholes in the third stratum's Makai that have Minus can DIAF.

That demon that you have to fight when you find Suwako is a jerk.  I need to plan for that fight a bit more, because his トリシッククラウド spell is a pain and he buffs himself up so much that my physical attackers can't do much.  トリシッククラウド spam is my main problem...I decided to go to Acheron, maybe I'll manage to recruit an Oshirasama.

I ended up replacing Sunny (who was a starter character) with Eiki.  She did well when not getting hit by physical attackers.

Dispel makes that fight a good chunk easier.  Star Sapphire's a good early source for it.

Jinzo also has it (my bad, now that he is in my party he is called SHINZO).  I have both, so I'll try giving that a shot.

Poison does pretty good damage against him (breakfast loli's poison does 125 damage/turn, and outdamages his regeneration field).  I should probably try using Murasa's Final Anchor to counter that (I never used her for anything but D-net).

EDIT: Forgot about Murasa, but dispel and chaser abuse won the fight.

The boss to get Suwako is also, weak to wind just a heads up.

But, even then I have the same problem as Barrakketh with the boss.

I have to fire up Star Sapphire to Dispel his buffs.  :matsuriscowl:

Which, results in me getting killed by トリシッククラウド spam galore or Physical Attack to the face. :V

Although my equips are up to date, he is still a pain.   :derp:

Hence, that I'm stuck... on that troll boss until, I get some backup.

• Remi used Lightning Chaser when it was up and my spells weren't on cooldown.  She has a spear attack that can dispel, so I used that as needed.
• Byakuren had SHINZO for dispel, Ran for row heal, Sylph for lightning attacks, and the earth resist accessory on.
• Eiki had Parsee for healing, Dragon Maid for resists/lightning breath (good enough to land manipulation/chasers).
• Sanae had Minoriko for healing, Aya for lightning attacks, and the shikigami you get at the same time as Yuka for poison (125/150 damage a turn is nice).  Had the earth resist/lightning weakness accessory on

Keep heals up, make sure to dispel his buffs, spam chasers, win fight.  My characters were level 27/28.

I'll see if leveling up will do for me.  Since I'm around in the 24/23 range, I just need to up my A-game and I'll be good.
