>Yes. Being in the precise of this thing is terrifying, knowing that you've roused it's anger and that it will chase you to the ends of the world have practically turned your knees to jelly. It is an act of will to keep from running away; your early encouragement is starting to wear a bit thin. And feeling its glare upon you just drives these points home all the more keenly. It is going to destroy you, just as you felt the desire to destroy Rinnosuke moments ago.

> Well. How many know-it-alls have we run into since returning to Gensokyo with this sword? If we weren't capable of stopping this thing, at least one of them would have given us a proper warning, because if anyone in Gensokyo was likely to cause havoc because they could, it would be us. But the gap youkai was far more concerned with sealing up Avalon, Eirin's warning was pretty weak and only related to conversation while holding the sword, and Patchouli actively encouraged its use. That none of them said anything about this possibility implies that we can deal with it ourselves.

>You assume it is going to jump, and you are grimly pleased to be correct. It leaps into the air with a kind of grace that belies its bullish appearance, and is coming right at you with surprising speed!
>You fly forward and upward, firing off amulets wildly. Many of them hit, and a number of them do hit the oncoming monster in the face, none of them seem to phase it very much.  You move upward, and you find that it is still facing you, and you realize that it didn't just jump, it seems that being in the air is not as much of a difficulty for it as you had hoped; it is still galloping toward you!

>You keep move upward and forward, as the fiery monster charges at you. Soon it is charging practically perpendicular to the ground, and begins to curve its path to follow you, slowly corkscrewing in the air. You are able to keep away from it for longer, but there's no question that this thing is faster than you; perhaps if you were in full speed retreat you could match its speed, until you tired. You don't think that it would.
>You keep the sword ready, but it you would have to get close to have any opportunities to use it.

>You switch direction and dive toward the ground. Looking back, you see that the monstrosity is doing the same, but the direction change is not so speedy, instead it looks as though it is galloping over some unseen hill to change directions and reach you. It allows you a moment to put some space between you, but not much. It certainly changes directions faster than that flying machine.

>You keep going downward, and move so that you're directly in front of the fiery monstrosity, both of you heading downward. This costs you a fair amount of the distance you've gained, and you can feel it is very close to you. The ground is some distance below, or ahead from your perspective.

>You have a little time before you're caught in an unavoidable impact. You can pull up pretty quickly if you don't mind slowing down, not so quickly if you going to keep full speed, but still quite well.
>Going at full speed and keeping full speed would take a fairly generous amount of vertical and horizontal space, but you should have both out here. If you don't mind slowing a bit, you can make very tight 180 degree changes in direction.
