Do mean you can't get the vpatch to work, or just the 90fps thing?
Assuming you have the patch working, you go to the vpatch.ini and you'll see "GameFPS = 60" Just change that 60 to a 90 and you're good. For SA and UFO I think you also have to go to the custom.exe and set the input latency to Fast instead of Automatic.

You can also use Fraps to boost the fps if you have that.

It's the patch in general really but the other info helps too. DO you have a good link for it? I seem to have deleted mine after al the technical issues I had with it...

Almost every single death to that card could have been avoided if I hadn't moved too far or not enough or in the wrong way. With Charming Siege, if the RNG doesn't like you, your perfect run is over and there's not a single thing you can do about it. That's the fucking difference.

If you find playing Touhou games that destructive, then you should stop, because playing with this kind of attitude is not helping you at all. But if you say you're addicted, then I can venture that you're finding some fun out of this, in one form or another. If you really want to improve at Touhou and start conquering stuff, stop being so mindlessly angry at the games, realize that you're maybe reaching a limit to your current skill, and work to improve that limit. Be more constructive, basically.

Rather than rage about a card being difficult, you could try to get help on how to do it. There are a plethora of videos out there showing someone capturing any given attack, and the people here will gladly help you out if you have a question. Once you know how an attack works and inevitably start capturing it more often, you'll think to yourself "why did I ever rage about this one? this is easier than I thought".

Though I can somewhat side with this. There are a few stages I just don't bother trying to perfect because there might be one or two attacks that are annoyingly hard to capture and not fun to learn at all. This doesn't apply to most stages however.

This, for me, with Suwako. I'll explain why I kept going for it even though I'm horribly inconsistent at Red Frog. (and also Suwa War)
1. Because I knew I could capture them, even if I'd never done them back to back
2. TO get better at Touhou in general
3. Because Native Faith is awesome.
4. Because I figured it would feel amazing when I finally got it (and it did)

So now with Ran, for me Charming Siege is the only issue, aside from possibly the final phase of the survival. Except I don't really have the motivation to attempt Ran right now :getdown:

Also, dying to Stage 2.
In Mountain of Faith.
and then twice to Stage 3.
on 'only' hard, before almost no-deathing Stage 4 with a capture of Momiji and the first waterfalls, in addition to Aya's first and 3rd spells.
WHY do I get the hard stuff only when I mess up the easy stuff?
Also said run had like 4-5 stupid deaths with bombs in stock.
