Satori Quest - Day in the Life

>Return a slight smirk, and follow with a chuckle. "And here Reimu said finding you would be hard."
>"Well, as long as things are all in order, it doesn't matter. This actually does help me in other matters as well, perhaps I could enlist you to assist with planning a party?"
>Shake head, this next idea's even better! "No, scratch that. Not just a party! This calls for an underground-wide festival!"
>Be sure to make suitable exaggerated gestures to go along with it.

>Turn to Orin. "Orin! Go fetch miss Kurodani and that Tsurube-Otoshi that's always with her, and get miss Mizuhashi if you can drag her away from that bridge of hers, it's not going away after all."

>Turn to Yukari. "Well then, miss Yakumo, what sort of festival would you suggest? Personally, I was considering catering to some of the more combative sorts by hosting a Battle Festival. Though there would be other festivities for the people not fighting. I daresay that miss Kurodaki and that tsurube-otoshi will have more than a few plans."
>Smirk just a tad. "And on the upside, it would give me a means to restore the spellcards of mine that were destroyed. You of all people should know how special a certain type of spellcard that I use is after all."

>Check Yukari's mind to make sure she's not hiding anything.

[Nekomata-chan]

>"Oh, that little red-white doesn't know me well enough yet.." Yukari giggles.
>She raises an eyebrow with an intrigued face.
>"I daresay this would rival the Hakurei Shrine flower-viewing festival." she giggles, again!
>Okuu echoes you, mimicking your gestures for effect.

>"Leave it to me!!" Orin grins and speeds away to find Yamame, Kisume and Parsee.

>"I would've mentioned a downright booze fest but.. not many people have oni livers! Maybe a recreational danmaku contest? I know that some patterns can get extremely dazzling, but that's just my preference. A light-mannered get-together would suffice, but party games are never declined by anybody!" Yukari absently unfolds her fan and fans herself lightly.
>"In the long run, you could probably nab some new spellcards from the guests.. I can recommend that, it never hurts to have too much." the gap-youkai sighs lyrically.

>She's hiding nothing. Yukari is genuinely telling you all the truth. Had she wanted to ransack your house, she'd have already done so and if she wanted to attack, she would have set up a gap-trap by now.

>"Hmm...That also sounds like a possible event."
>Hmm...This might just be the biggest bout of festivities the underground has seen since the Oni first moved down here!
>"Yes....yes..! I've got it! We'll have a week-long festival with each day having a different main event, with the final two days being the Battle Festa!"
>Brilliant. Only we could have come up with such a plan.
>Smirk. "The Oni would end up extending it that much anyways, so why not plan for it to be that long to begin with?"

>Is Yuugi still with us?

>"Definitely," smirks Yukari.
>Yukari raises an eyebrow, "Ah, yes, Suika told me about that. She said she preferred it above ground, so down here was only day-trip material.."
>"That sounds perfect! A little bird told me you were also inviting little- ah, no, I must remember Alice Margatroid is no longer little in any sense of the word.." sighs Yukari.
>Definitely so. At least we have plans as opposed to a massive drinking contest.
>"Makes sense!" Okuu pokes her tongue out.

>Yuugi is still here.

>"Aaaand I'm back!!" Orin shouts, landing beside Okuu with Yamame who is carrying Kisume. Parsee is next to them, her arms folded and her green eyes angled at the floor. Yamame looks pretty excited, as does Kisume. Parsee is the only one of them that looks like she is either extremely jealous or she got dragged away from other plans.

>"Well, it is mainly for everyone involved in that little debacle earlier to relax and enjoy themselves. That's partially what prompted it."

>Turn to Kisume, Yamame, and Parsee. "Glad you three could make it. I happen to be planning a week-long festival, And when I was thinking of additional events and festivities for those who aren't busying themselves with drinking, I thought of you three."
>"I was hoping you all would be able to lend a hand in planning and organizing. I'll personally handle the final two days, as they will be the days of the festival's main event, a Battle Festa. You three will aid me in planning the first five days, I was thinking of maybe installing a bucket tramway over the city, so people who can't fly could see the view from above without worry. After all, not just Youkai will be participating. At least, provided my next actions work out as planned."
>Turn to Parsee. "That is, if you didn't have plans already." Playful Smirk.

>Turn to Yukari. "I was considering having all of Gensokyo attend the festival, Human, Youkai, Ghost, Fairy, it matters not. The underground is a worry-free place with fewer squabbles than the surface."

[Nekomata-chan]

>"I see... Miss Kaenbyou, I saw you had a major role in today's... event.." Yukari smirks as Orin's eyes fall to her feet. "I was watching it all through a gap whilst house-sitting! Rather fun.."
>"Nice idea!" smiles Yamame. Kisume giggles in her bucket.
"Wish I could have good ideas like that.. I'm so jealous!" Parsee hisses into her sleeve.
>"Whatever you need us to do, we'll get it done, right, Kisume?" Yamame raises a fist to her chest triumphantly, Kisume mimicking her with a determined face.
"Gr..." Parsee growls, "Fine.."
>"I did have plans but.. Yours seem better. Grr, I'm so jealous!!" Parsee mumbles.

>"I could set up portals here, save people travelling too far. I love life's little conveniences.. for example, shikigamis!!" Yukari giggles.

[Hanzo K.]

>Nod to Yukari. "That seems like it'll help, but I'll have to talk to that guardian at the human village, she might not be too keen on letting her charges party amongst Youkai."
>Smile at Parsee. "You always have been like that."
>Look over to Kisume and Yamame. "Alright,  I leave that in your hands. Make sure to use sizable buckets though, at least big enough for three people. I reasoned that since little Kisume here is never without her bucket, she would be the best to ask. And when I started thinking about that, I remembered that spider threads are some of the strongest materials around. Which in turn led me to ask you two to help."

>Turn to Parsee. "And you my friend...Well, I just wanted to get as much help as possible, and I remembered that your bridge was in the area that Kisume and miss Kurodani are usually found, so I had Orin save time by bringing you along too."

[Nekomata-chan]

"If the youkai get out of hand, then Reimu-chan could sort that out. I can't say she won't be drunk off of her face, though..." Yukari  smirks yet again.
>"She's right!" Yamame and Kisume say in unison. Is it just you or did Parsee just give a faint smile?
>"We'll have that done before you know it! Spiders and.. bucket-lolis are diligent workers!!" Yamame grins. Kisume looks at her funny, probably disturbed by the bucket-loli comment.

>"Mm.. thanks, I guess.." Parser frowns a little, but it doesn't take a mind reader to know she is truly grateful.

>Smile a bit. "Exactly why you two are the best for the job."
>Turn to Yuugi and Okuu. "Now as for you two, I have a special job for you two. You two will be arranging a fireworks display that will take place on the final day. I trust that you two can make it sufficiently grandiose?"
>Turn to Okuu. "Just....Just don't blow up the underground in the process." Sweatdrop.

[Nekomata-chan]

>Kisume and Yamame give each other a discreet hi-five, with serious faces.
>Yuugi and Okuu grin in unison. "You bet! We'll rock it like an oni should!" Yuugi grins loudly.
"Yeah! We'll make it suffi-... suff... grandi-... we'll make it awesome!" Okuu stumbles over the words. She's never been the smartest.
>Okuu giggles awkwardly, "And when have I ever done that before?"

>Turn to Yamame and Kisume with a smile. "I expect great things from you two."
>Turn to Okuu with a smirk. "I know you tend to get a little carried away at times. Need I remind you of your original plan for the surface?"

[Nekomata-chan]

>Yamame and Kisume look at each other, nod, and hi-five again. Habit?
>Okuu giggles awkwardly, "Oh yeah... but I didn't actually DO that, did I? If it weren't for you and Orin being so awesome I'd've probably ruined the surface.. at least, Orin said that's what would've happened."

>Smile at Okuu, and fly over to ruffle her hair again. "That's true, but try to keep from getting carried away still, okay?"
>Turn to Yukari. "Now then, it's time I go discuss things with that guardian at the human village, because I plan for them to attend as well. Could I perhaps borrow you for a moment to make the trip faster?"

[Nekomata-chan]

>Okuu gives a nervous giggle, "I promise, I will be all in control!!"
>Yukari opens up a small gap beside her, "Jump through, then. I'll have to come with you to reopen the gap, if I leave it open every Tom, Dick and Harry will come through, and if I close it then you'll have to come all the way back. It's been a long day, have an easy life."

[Hanzo K.]

>Nod to Yukari. "That's the idea."
>Go through the gap.

[Nekomata-chan]

>Yukari giggles, opening the gap a bit further.
>You go through a gap and appear in the centre of the Human Village, Yukari close behind you. The gap closes slowly, disappearing into nothingness. Some of the humans immediately hide at the sight of possibly the two most feared youkai in Gensokyo.

[Hanzo K.]

>Well, look at them. Scared? No need!
>Look to Yukari. "Now, let's get to finding the Guardian. She should be teaching currently, yes?"

[Nekomata-chan]

>Some of the braver ones carry on walking to their destination.
>"No, at this time she's probably... judging by the little fiasco with that fiery immortal and her princess friend not too long ago today, then she's probably chastising said fiery immortal. She'll be at home." Yukari grins.

[Hanzo K.]

>Well, at least they know to be brave. It'd be interesting to see what's on their mind, but we have to be polite~
>"Well then, shall we be off?"
>Follow Yukari when she goes.

[Nekomata-chan]

>Yukari nods once.
>She walks towards a small but rather extravagant looking oriental-style cottage. She knocks on the door once, and is greeted by a woman in a blue dress, with silvery hair and what seems to be a house-shaped object on her head.
 "What do you want?" the woman demands. Yukari steps back, leaving you to be the focus of conversation.

[Hanzo K.]

>Bow politely. "Greetings. I trust that you know of me? Well, if so, then I'll get right to the point of things."
>"I am hosting a week-long festival for all of Gensokyo, Humans, Youkai, everyone. I wanted to get things sorted out with you as well, seeing as how the humans are in your care."

[Nekomata-chan]

>Bow politely. "Greetings. I trust that you know of me? Well, if so, then I'll get right to the point of things."

>The woman, who you know as Keine Kamishirasawa, looks at you suspiciously, yet allows you to go on.

>"I am hosting a week-long festival for all of Gensokyo, Humans, Youkai, everyone. I wanted to get things sorted out with you as well, seeing as how the humans are in your care."

>"So... you want me to allow the humans to this festival? I would have to go along as well to make sure I can protect them, should anything go awry." she folds her arms, "Yet if it's a week-long, I would have to make sure each human can pack sufficiently..."

[Hanzo K.]

>"Nod. "That was the idea. I was intending for everyone to come. I've got miss Kurodani and her close friend Kisume working on a bucket-based tramway system for those who cannot fly."
>"I've already gotten some other things hammered out with some of the other notable youkai of the underground. One of which in particular will be working with one of my pets for the final event. A Fireworks display."
>"Though the festival won't be for a little while, some of the main participants have been through a lot recently, and need time to recover. And then there's the matter of having everything all set up beforehand. Though I reasoned that doing all of the important things like this first off would be the logical thing."

>"Some of the events I've got in mind are a Battle Festa for the youkai on the final two days, it is essentially a battle tournament. The winner gets crowned 'Strongest of Gensokyo'."
>"Another event, as suggested by Yukari here, was a danmaku display. Similar to fireworks, but closer in spirit to the Battle Festa. The winner of that contest will gain the title of 'Best Danmaku Display'."

>Smile. "If this goes well, and everyone likes it, I may just have to make this a yearly thing."

>Keine seems intrigued, and she opens the door further to listen.

>Keine sighs, "Oh, I haven't seen a fireworks display in years.."

>"They've been through a lot? Hm.. That is the logical thing to do I suppose. Logic before magic, as I've always told Mokou."

>"Interesting." Keine narrows her eyes faintly.
"Absolutely right, it's interesting." Yukari giggles.

>"Another event, as suggested by Yukari here, was a danmaku display. Similar to fireworks, but closer in spirit to the Battle Festa. The winner of that contest will gain the title of 'Best Danmaku Display'."

>"I never thought of danmaku as being a decorative thing. I'm often too busy firing it to notice.." Keine giggles.

>Smile. "If this goes well, and everyone likes it, I may just have to make this a yearly thing."

>"Seems like a good enough idea.." Keine concludes.

>"Ah, but from what I have realized by looking into the hearts of others to create my Recollection Spellcards, I came to a conclusion. Danmaku can be both beautifully terrifying, and terrifyingly beautiful."

>"As for what they've been though, it was quite an ordeal. One of the affected people was my own little sister."
>Sincere smile. "But thankfully, it was all resolved before too much more could happen. I made sure of that personally."

>"Perhaps we could discuss that matter over tea, after the festival?"

[Nekomata-chan]

>"Ah, but from what I have realized by looking into the hearts of others to create my Recollection Spellcards, I came to a conclusion. Danmaku can be both beautifully terrifying, and terrifyingly beautiful."

>"True, true.. I've seen that too.." Yukari and Keine both mutter together.

>"As for what they've been though, it was quite an ordeal. One of the affected people was my own little sister."

>"Oh, my! I do hope she's okay... not too shaken, is she?" Keine asks. Maybe she's mistaking Koishi for a very little sister.

>Sincere smile. "But thankfully, it was all resolved before too much more could happen. I made sure of that personally."

>"At least all is well." Keine smiles.

>"Perhaps we could discuss that matter over tea, after the festival?"

>"If it's not too much of a bother, I am actually extremely curious and during whatever time you could spare, I would be happy to hear the full story." Keine concludes. "So, this festival. When is it?"

[Hanzo K.]

>"Koishi is holding up rather well now, but I've told her to rest. Miss Margatroid and Miss Kirisame were the more affected ones."
>"As for the festival, it will likely be in ten days from now, barring accidents during setup, or relapses from the affected."
>Nod. "I'd be quite happy to discuss it all when I have the time though, but I'll be rather busy leading the preparations for now."
>Smile. "There's much planning to be done, provisions to be gathered, paperwork to be filled out, and much more."
>Smirk. "You know what they say, 'no rest for the wicked'."

[Nekomata-chan]

>"Koishi is holding up rather well now, but I've told her to rest. Miss Margatroid and Miss Kirisame were the more affected ones."

>"Oh.. mind you, they are humans." Keine nods once to herself.

>"As for the festival, it will likely be in ten days from now, barring accidents during setup, or relapses from the affected."

>"That seems like sufficient time to prepare, but if you hurry yourself the quality of it may be compromised. Take your time." Keine advises.
"Oh, please, safety in numbers. We have a lot of diligent people on the job, I think we'll be okay." Yukari waves her hand dismissively. From what it seems, Yukari is either a little impatient or is not a fan of Keine.

>Nod. "I'd be quite happy to discuss it all when I have the time though, but I'll be rather busy leading the preparations for now."

>"Of course." Keine ducks her head respectively, wearing a formal smile. Yukari sighs and folds her arms. It's obvious. She doesn't like Keine. At all.

>Smile. "There's much planning to be done, provisions to be gathered, paperwork to be filled out, and much more."

>"Not to mention invitations." Keine suggests. From beside you, you can see Yukari's hidden hand forming a gabbering mouth. Wow.

>Smirk. "You know what they say, 'no rest for the wicked'."

>"Ah, yes, hehe.." Keine laughs uncertainly. Yukari's mouth-hand gabbles a lot more, and her lips twitch discreetly without Keine noticing. You can't help but notice a lot of disdain for Keine emitting from the boundary youkai.

>Smirk just a bit. Yukari's rather annoyed isn't she?
>Bow politely to Keine. "Well, this was both enjoyable, and fruitful. If you ever want to visit the underground, just send a letter."

>Turn to Yukari. "Well, shall we be off?"
