What is the best final spell of an extra stage?
For the purposes of this question, Yukari and Mokou have 2 final cards. (Boundary of Life and Death, Danmaku Bounded Field or Hourai Doll, Imperishable Shooting)

For me, I have to go with Grudge Bow (Nue's final). The random dodging is fun without resorting to walls, even if I can't read the last phase consistently yet.
Honorable Mention goes to Descent of Izuna Gongen for being a challenge I can consistently overcome.

That would probably have to be Grudge Bow. It's quite a fun attack. It also comes with the added bonus of not requiring you to subject your ears to earrape while you are playing it. QED and BoLaD are candidates too but them being positioned at the end of pretty boring boss fights makes me unable to properly take them into account.

EX Marisa's final attack also looks pretty solid but I haven't ever faced that one without Ice so I can't say how much fun it is. Formless' video of it made it look pretty cool though.

I haven't made it to Grudge Bow yet, but it looks very fun. However, I will have to say that Boundary of Life and Death is probably my favorite even if it can be cheesed with a bit of skill and luck. Adding on new bullets as she gets weaker is an awesome idea that should be used more often.

Full Moon Pompokolin looks awesome, though it's almost as pathetic as Mishaguji-Sama.

I vote for Q.E.D. cause it's just as hard as it should be (haven't tried SA and UFO extras so far).

And one more reply to previous question. I find Mamizou's 2 last nonspells pretty amazing :3

I've yet to make it to any Extra bosses outside Mokou and Swackers and haven't made it to any of their finals. But I've watched others and "Full Moon Pompokolin" looks crazy, like the rest of Mami's spells. So it gets my vote.

What has your "best" Touhou choke been?
Embodiment of Scarlet Failure fits the criteria.

For me, it's either dieing twice to Mishaguji-sama in an otherwise perfect run of the stage or failing a MarisaB (UFO) extra run...by dying to the laser in the first phase of the survival, then dying to the first phase of Grudge Bow. A few more seconds would have been a clear...

Either dying to Mishaguji-sama as Suwako explodes on my first MoF extra clear (would have captured it otherwise) or dying to Full Moon Pompokolin as Mamizou explodes on my first TD extra clear (would have captured it otherwise)

Getting sucked up into Subterranean Sun on Normal Mode with ReimuB. Somehow while I was staying still to avoid the spewing white bullets and shooting at the same time, I failed to notice that Utsuho was about to increase her gravitation pull. The switch happened and I got yanked upwards faster than I thought and kablam! Last life lost to gravity.

I specifically remember a choke I had when trying to perfect MoF Stage 4, on Normal I believe. I get through the fight unscathed, Aya's already exploding, then I die on what appears to be the very last frame I could possibly die on. There's not much else I've done that can quite match that, even in terms of full-game runs (I don't really have any memorable game overs on final cards).

Easy. A perfect run of Mountain of Faith Lunatic, except for one death on Momiji. Then I hit Sanae, one of the easiest bosses in the series and bam! 5 lives lost. Game over to Kanako.

Oh i see "dying on last boss exploding" is a very common issue. How about loosing a TD lunatic 1CC by being hit a moment before Newborn Divine Spirit ends, finishing Miko by trance agony and exploding right after her :qq:

Also perfecting the whole SA Stage 5 normal except Orin's easy 2nd nonspell. Eww..
