Child of Light is probably worth the full price so any kind of discount should be taken advantage of, unless you already have a huge backlog.

Community voting is annoying me a bit; people be voting for FarCry 3 to go on sale again. Oh, and the latest pack option has three games I already have : Meat Boy, Hotline, and Impossible Game. So it'll get my vote as a recommendation vote, if anything. (Inb4 everyone votes for Dark Souls~ :V )

Otherwise, bring on the next Daily!

man I'd get FFXIV if it didn't cost me a monthly subscription >_>

I just saw that it's still on sale, and the first 30 days are free when you buy the game so feel free to try it and drop it.

For what it's worth, if you're not interested in endgame stuff you can easily get through most/all of the content of ff14 in 30 days of gameplay.

I think what I'm saying here is that I'm not gonna blow $15 on a game that I already have to pay more for if I actually do end up enjoying it. :V

I have yet to win a single vote where I would buy something if the thing I voted for won. I lost to pixel games every time, and the one time the side I wanted to win featured pixel games, I lost...

Mind you I kinda expected as much when the other side had borderlands 2, farcry 3's super dlc that supposedly is more popular than the base game, and skyrim...not sure if goat is a big seller or not.

Anyway I wanna buy spaz and it says sale ends june 30th. Does that mean I can still buy it on june 30th just in case it gets a bigger discount via a flash sale or something? or will I be crying noooo cuz the final day it will NOT be on sale at all?

So... Long Live the Queen just went on the Flash Sale...

I know there were some of you who got this when it came out. Do any of you recommend it? Sort of been thinking about it; throwing it on and off my wishlist all the time...

It's pretty good.  It's not quite as actually reactive/open as it could be, but there's a lot of surprises and neat ideas and it's decidedly charming.  For 2.50$ you could do way worse (would you believe the creator of Cafe-0 is trying to get it on Steam?)

So what'd everyone get?

Bioshock, 2, Infinite (I wasn't planning on getting 1 and 2, but at one point the pack was the same price as Infinite by itself)
Double Dragon Neon (Mostly nostalgia, mostly cause it's totally radical)
Eryi's Action (Main character looks like Marona)
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (See Double Dragon Neon)
Guacamelee! (Luchador themed Metroidvania, sign me up!)
La-Mulana (Challenging critically acclaimed Metroidvania)
Spec Ops: The Line (I'm not usually for these types of games, but I had the check it out)
The Stanley Parable (It looks neat)
Super Meat Boy (I think I might be a budding masochist)
Transistor (The artstyle reminded me of Vanillaware and the gameplay looks fun)
Valdis Story: Abyssal Story (Another pretty Metroidvania)
Walking Dead: Season 2 (I didn't want to get it until all episodes were out and I could beat it in two days like the last one.  Now I have to talk myself into not playing it until the last two episodes are out)

I didn't get much, just broforce, spaz, and Civilization 5 complete.
Valdis story is good, I don't know if it's particularly pretty though, it's just kinda ok, and the character designs are pretty ick imo.. the MUSIC for it on the other hand, yep, effing pretty =).

There's a game on here I'm noticing that I wont name for fear of making the buyer feel bad. but I'm almost certain you could have played it for free on a web browser. I've notice several games actually that were originally flash based games on kongregate, and I find myself thinking such a game that was once free is odd to see for over 5 bucks on steam sometimes. Not sure if you folks know but maybe you wanna check out kongregate or armor games for more games, some quite good. I particularly like elona shooter and Monster's den, book of dread.

one game that was free on there that I saw on steam for quite a price last year or something was gemcraft.

Yeah, I know I could have played EBF4 for free, but I kinda wanted to support the developer, you know?

BioShock franchise pack, Skyrim, and Arkham Asylum. Not much, but it'll keep me occupied for a while and I know I'll play them eventually so whatever.

plus i'm not actually allowed to play games now

I'm fully aware EBF4 has a free version.  That said, I specify 'free version' because there is a difference in content between free and paid versions, so yeah.

And as mentioned,
Yeah, I know I could have played EBF4 for free, but I kinda wanted to support the developer, you know?
This too.  I can certainly think of worse ways on Steam to spend 5$

Humble Bundle just booted up a new bundle...

And it's a 2K one. Includes Bioshock 1, 2, and Infinite, XCOM Declassified and Unknown, Darkness II, Mafia II, and Spec Ops. (With more to add to the list next week.)

I'm sorry, Spec Ops for ?3 minimum? Looks like I finally get to play this game! I'd throw in more to get Infinite, but I'm unsure about XCOM Enemy Unknown. Does anyone round here recommend it? XD

Can't recommend X-COM: Enemy Unknown enough. A great turn-based strategy game on every level. Besides, you get to punch creepy aliens in the face with giant mech soldiers and hear your Polish sniper bid an "hasta la vista, baby!" to a mean beastie best summarized as a facehugger that cross-bred with a bug from Starship Troopers. It's on my short list of games that I'd like to replay.

Also their current weekly bundle has about two days left but I didn't notice it until last night - it is entirely worth it for getting big savings on Cinders alone, plus hey Antichamber for anyone still missing that.

Anyone know if the game of X-COM that comes with the bundle is just the base game or does it include everything? I'm assuming the former but if it included Enemy Within too it would be nice. And a real money saver.

Doesn't look like it. The DLC really rounds it out and while the two quick add-ons for unique characters are just OK, Enemy Within is fantastic. Skipping on mecha and gene modded soldiers, EXALT covert ops, and the Newfoundland mission isn't worth it. They all help build on original experience and play to the game's strengths. I think it includes the language voice pack, too, which sounds silly, but adds a lot of flavor to an international team. Anyway, I'd suggest picking up the original for this pittance (the core game is like $5 when on sale) and just wait for a full-blown sale to come along on Steam and pick up the rest then. In the meantime, you're going to want to get a feel for the game beyond the tutorial and learn just how important satellites and base building are before you really put your back into it, so fiddling with it now might be a fine idea. DON'T skip the full package, and I recommend stopping once the aliens start sending in anything beyond 3-4 hp mooks because Enemy Within puts in new stuff from the get-go.
