It begins!

The next round of Seimoe has started, so here's the round up ATM.

Koishi vs. Alice

Koishi

Pros: Cute, younger sister personality, plus stalker bonus for hiding via subconscious, very interesting character with a rather complicated storyline, spell card themed around Frudian concepts.

Cons: Fanon material can sometimes make her unappealing, again, spell cards with Frudian concepts can turn off some, some may not enjoy the stalker type that hide her presence

Alice:

Pros: Magician with Doll based spell cards, calm, collective personality (Canon), Tsundere Perosonality / love interest ([somewhat] Fanon), been around longer in Touhou.

Cons: Her canon personality is known to turn off some if they been overdosed to her(somewhat) fanon personality, same can be said in the reverse about her (somewhat) fanon personality, can be viewed as obnoxious to some.

My advantage say Alice will have the edge in this contest. Mainly because of her traits that show through her game and story material which has made her a very appealing charter. Especially due to her dolls. Together they create a unique appeal that we know and love about Alice, the puppeteer magician.

Koishi is also lovable yes, she's been a character that I have known to enjoy for a while now. Especially because of her spell card that center around Frudian concepts and psychological theories (truly creative stuff)

But I feel that no matter what Alice still wins in terms of moe appeal for her personality traits that have developed over the ages. So my vote will go to Alice.

Agh tough round this time. Koishi is very cute, but if I take fanon into consideration, I must also consider a certain heart-throbbing version of Koishi. That said, Alice it is.

I find myself refreshing the status page simply to see how the match is proceeding. It's been tied twice, Koishi has been in the lead by a slim margin twice, and Alice has been in the lead by a vote once. Quite the match thus far.

Well Alice is the victor for this round which pleases me.

Anyways time for the next round:

Keine vs. Nitori

Keine

Pros: Teacher, historian, has were-hakutaku form as an added bonus. Nice color scheme for both forms. Fluffy tail for hakutaku form. Unique companion affair with Mokou

Cons: Very strict no non-sense type may turn off some, same can apply to head butting students, being CAVED (memetic fanon)

Nitori:

Pros: Cute mechanic, Shyness factor, lush color scheme fitting her aquatic theme, some degree of companionship for Marisa, cucumber appeal.

Cons: Kappa myths may turn some away, some feel she takes away from Marisa's magician crew (though that's debatable)

Advantage: Nitori

Course despite that, I will state my vote for who I choose.

Keine has always appealed to me as she's one of the few charters that I think of that belongs in the mature charter list. Her teacher complex is what make her both mature and a very appealing character in general. It's what I love in a charter is one who is there to help, protect and be a guide. She's sort of fits in the casual, but noteworthy tier in Touhou characters. Sure she can be rough with you as a teacher, but it's sometinhg I like about her. The aggressive, yet caring type. And probably one of the few charters with some interesting fanon material that usually focuses on her an Mokou in general always made her a worth while charter.

Nitori is cute, she's fun, and has a bunch of appealing things about her. She has a nice set of colors that fit her theme nicely and being a kappa with a knack for engineering is always a bonus. She always comes across to me as the cute shy mechanic which I find fun. And while her companionship with Marisa is interesting, I can't help but ask why does kappa become part of a magician harem, it's probably the only thing that I keep wondering about her. That and her youthfulness (which is why I tend to favor more mature charters most of the time unless there's something special about them)

Because of this, my vote is for Keine.

Anyway I will vote for Nitori... Even though Keine is cute (especially the Sukusuku hakutaku) and
I really like the way the fanon normally potraits her - I still think Nitori is more "moe"...

Yesterday's match seemed to go rather well. It was very close for the majority of the time until Alice seemed to take over during the course of the last 8 hours of the day. Lots of lead changes. There's also been an increase in voter participation which is real nice to see, too.

It looks like this is the only match outside of #38 that I might have a spot of trouble deciding who to vote for since Keine's a perennial favorite while Nitori's a fellow engineer. Outside of today, my favorites are all matched up against my not-so-much favorites.

Well Nitori won that as I so predicted, sad that Keine couldn't even make it even close to here, but I did say Nitori had the Advantage...

Today's Match!

Hina vs. Lunasa

Hina

Pros: Unique hair style, gothic lolita style dress, constantly spinning, ribbons

Cons: Being a cursed god can make her feel unappealing, Unique hair style can be a turn off to some.

Lunasa

Pros: Musician, Oldest sister, calm personality

Cons: Really doesn't stand out too much without the other sisters in play.

Advantage: Hina

Hina was probably one of the few charters I enjoyed during her MoF debut. Mainly because she was the most animated character to date at that time, Always spinning as she moved. It made her feel really unique, plus her dress and hair style really help bring out Hina's moe appeal because her design and goth lolita style complimented each other while her spinning motion just gave her the very appeal feel to her. It's difficult to describe. But I know it's what made Hina truly stand out even back in MoF.

Lunasa while a very good musician is however not too good without Lyrica and Merlin around. She may be the oldest, she may have a calm personality and she may have nice looks, but really the Prisimriver Sisters are bland by themselves, they only stand out when the whole trio is in play. Sadly this is a moe charter contest, so pretty much I don't see Lunasa getting a chance here (she was lucky back in round 1)

So yeah I'm expecting Hina to win and will vote for Hina in the process.
