>You open your umbrella as the door closes behind you, then walk to the southwest side of the building and look around.
>You don't see any obvious paths in the undergrowth in the sense of paths that animals or people have traveled, but you can see a way that's relatively clear and traversable.

>Head that way.

>You make your way into the forest. The leafy canopy stops the rain from falling in a gentle sheet as it was, instead gathering it on the leaves and falling to the ground in fat drops and thin streams. The ground is muddy and laced with puddles, making ti bit more difficult than normal to progress through the brush. Still, you quickly leave the heretics' house behind and make your way deeper into the forest. Every so often, you catch a glimpse of a faerie going about her business, but otherwise it is peaceful.

> Keep heading southwest.

>You head further southwest. It grows more difficult to find parts of the forest that can be easily traveled through toward that direction, forcing you to take longer and more circuitous routes to get around the underbrush and the thick stands of trees. So far, you are able to keep a good idea of which way is southwest, but too much more twisting and turning will cause you to lose it. As it stands, you don't see any trees that you would consider particularly unusual. The ground, you note, is starting to slope downwards.

> Carefully pull out the pieces of sword, connect them like usual, and try to speak to it again.

>You look toward the slope; the trees and undergrowth are too thick to let you see very far ahead. The fact that the trees are not exactly uniform in height makes it difficult to tell much about the slope as well. but you think it persists a bit.
>Pulling out the pieces of the sword, you place them together. You can feel the usual electric sensation that you cannot quite put a name or feeling to. And...something else, as well. You aren't really sure how to interpret it, but you want to put a feeling to it. Anticipation? Expectation? You aren't sure.

>It's certainly not impenetrable, but you might want to be a little careful in passing through it if you don't want to get scratched up, rip your umbrella, or snag a wing.
>You continue to work your way down the slope. As you continue that way, weaving to and fro around the brush. The slope slowly becomes more noticeable, you get the idea you might be descending into a valley of some kind.  Still, it's not very steep, puddles are still gathering her and there.
