Fantasy Explorer Nitroid! English Patch Released!

I'd like to annoucne the release of an English Patch of Desunoya's puzzle/platform game, Fantasy Explorer Nitroid! by our circle Talkhaus Fansubs.

Huge thanks to everyone involved it was a lot of work and I hope you enjoy.

I'm really struggling with the English Patch: Try as I might, I can't install it, always getting an error.
I choose C:\Program Files\Nitroid as the destination to patch. Even though I have patch 1.10 installed (it says so when I start running the game), I get the message "You must have Nitroid patched to 1.10 to install this patch." Then the patching process just stops. It says in the details "Got 13634d24243c24f65d2e88a3375dd964 Expected 3EAB9746CA121689B26E062A4470DCAB."
Somehow, the English Patch doesn't recognize my version of Nitroid as 1.10. While I was in World 5 already and patch 1.10 is working properly as it is, did I install 1.10 correctly? I did so only by putting all the contents in the patch-folder (data-folder, data2.bin, Nitroid.exe and the .txt file in japanese) into my folder of Nitroid and overwriting when it asked me to. I also tried it on two different computers, my outdated and my newer one. No luck with any of them.
It would be great if you, Mr. Cup, or anyone else could provide me with some advice. There must be something I'm not seeing. Thank you in advance!

Be careful because there are two versions of 1.10 floating around. Shortly after Desunoya released the extra world, he rolled it back because there was a problem with the extra boss and then re-released it after he fixed it without ever changing the version number. Confusing, I know. The easiest way to tell is if you can actually reach the boss. The incomplete 1.10 will lock you out of the fight in World 5 Stage 14 with a sign that says an update is coming. If you haven't patched the game since around July 25th+, you are definitely running the old version. Try installing the update that I linked on a clean copy of the game and then run the English patch. Be sure to make backups because if you mess with the original data.bins before patching, it may cause issues with the installer.

The patch itself does not affect the bins (just makes new copies), but the official update does, so a clean copy might help if something happened when you tried to update. That hash definitely seems to indicate the wrong .exe file though.
 
If you already updated everything and are absolutely sure (checked and double checked) that you're running the most up to date version of Nitroid, I can give you a patcher that bypasses the version check, because in that case something else must be causing it, but only if you're sure! Patching over the old versions will cause graphical glitches and crashes because Desunoya changed a lot in the data.bins between the two versions.

One little pointer: data.bin should be fine regardless. It's data2.bin that is the important one.

Check the date modified on that one, if it's something like 7/22/2011 you're good. If it's something more like 5/19/2011 it's the old 1.10.

I have a question, though, is there any way to get this game outside of Japan? I tried searching for it, but couldn't find any valid way to download it, free or not (not that I am wild about paying for a platform arcade, even though Nitori is one of my favorites ^_^; )

I'm trying to install the english patch using both files that were linked above (the zip with the game files and the patch exe file).   When I run the installer, I keep getting the error "Failed to patch bin files".    Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
